This is such a wonderful little cafe with a full lunch/dinner menu. We just stopped in for dessert and coffee and it was wonderful. Loved this small town gem in Mortlach! Friendly and inviting atmosphere with amazing food and flavor profiles. Stopped in for lunch and had the Jambalaya and Grown Up Mac and Cheese. The Mac and cheese was full of the house made Andouille sausage, rich and creamy with a hint of blue cheese. The jambalaya was accompanied by a delicious cornbread. A craft Wheat beer on tap was a nice addition. Both dishes were well seasoned, garnished with fresh pea shoots and served piping hot. The service was friendly and prompt. We will definitely be back. So much to love about this whimsical place right down to the plaid cushions and red fleece throws on the chair backs! read more

After reading the reviews previously posted about Little Red Market Cafe, my expectations were pretty high. And I was not disappointed. Our party had lamb, duck and spaghetti and all of it was fantastic. The best creme brûlée I've ever had -- it had a touch of orange in it :) -- topped it off for me. The Buzz Bomb and a chocolate tourine (I think that's what they called it) we're also a hit. When you add the wonderfully friendly flair of the owner, the whole evening was an absolute success. Certainly not what you'd expect from a small brick house in a small town in Saskatchewan! I'll be going back and will highly recommend the place to all my friends. read more

Stopped here on a trip from Regina to Medicine Hat. What a great gem of a place in the town of Mortlach just outside MooseJaw! Small menu but everything was on point and family friendly as well. I was worried that there wouldn't be many options for myself and my daughter as vegetarians but there were plenty of options. We both enjoyed the fresh greens with a vinaigrette made with local honey and topped with local seasonal Saskatoons. The owner Pat was so friendly and accommodating and even had the chef make a special plate of their creamy house Mac and cheese for my picky 10 year old son. My hubby ordered the Muffaletta sandwich with roasted red pepper, creamy havarti cheese and their signature andouille sausage on house made sour dough bread and was super impressed. Thanks so much to this quaint but quality cafe for giving us a wonderful respite from our road trip fast food. We will definitely be back on our trip home as we return from our travels across western Canada. I'm hoping the vegetarian Po Boy with portobello mushroom is still on their very creative menu so I can get that in my belly. read more
