Matcha latte - bring me more!!
    Chantee F.

This place was so good that I had to return immediately! The best, creamiest and flavourful matcha latte. You won't find this place unless you go with someone who knows just where it is. Hidden down what looks like a dodgy laneway, no signage visible from the main streets. You will spot the blue door only once you are standing in front of it. This tiny shop is constantly busy and for good reason. Coffees, teas, and pastries. Just perfect.

No signage, so look out for the blue door!

When in Melbourne and you are an avid fan of Matcha... Go to Little Rouge! Hidden inside the city alley on Drewery Lane. Strolling into Little Rouge, you will notice interesting graffiti along the wall. Very characteristics of Melbourne, that I *heart*. There is no clear signage in front of the store, just look out for the bright blue door and you are at the right spot. From the outside, the exterior is very mundane, but once inside, this dessert/coffee shop is probably the homiest cafe I've ever been to. Not fancy in any way, just charming and cute space comes to mind! You'll also likely be bumping elbows with eager Instagrammers looking to get their fix of these photogenic delights. The Matcha Latte! The matcha was very strong in taste! Slightly bitter and texture was quite frothy, a unique cup of latte and absolutely a thing of beauty. Prices are very standard in the area, $4.50 for small and extra dollar for a large cup. Cheers, to the best matcha latte I've ever had. This place is definitely worth many return visits.

I've known these guys for several years. They care about what they do and doing it properly. Don't mistake their quietness for arrogance, they know good coffee, they just won't shove it in your face because they are so laid back. Ive seen them develop this space and try to source the best things they could, not just the coffee, but the chocolate (Mörk), cakes, tea, artwork. Coffee is always fantastic. And you can't go wrong with Mörk chocolate either. Tiny space that feels like someones house, which I think it use to be, hidden down an alleyway. You'll feel like it's your secret spot. As everyone says, look for the blue door!

Honestly, I really wanted to like this place, espeically with it's location down a side alleyway in the Melbourne CBD, but in the end it really let me down. Maybe it had something to do with my expectations. Anyway, the coffee was basically second rate and, well, that is about it because all this place really sells is coffee. Honestly, if you want a good coffee then maybe you need to look elsewhere.

Iced chocolate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and cocoa powder

Absolute delight and treat! Must try! Ordered an iced chocolate and iced matcha. The iced chocolate comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which was delicious, but ended up making the drink a little too sweet. The iced matcha was very flavorful and just the right amount of sweetness. Personally I wish the drink was bigger, but that's just cause it was so good. Otherwise it is a good size. I would definitely go back if I'm ever in Melbourne again.

This place is adorable! Head down the laneway of Drewery Lane and you'll spot a bright blue door brightening the dark stone walls. As you enter, it's like coming into a little house. Not because it has couches, but for some reason has a small lounge room vibe. Little stools and tables line the cosy space with happy, chatty coffee lovers filling the space. This is not a place to bust out a laptop or meeting with more than 1-2 people, but an awesome an intimate space for a one on one catch up or solo coffee fix. Small Batch beans are on offer, with espresso, pour over or batch brew available. I sampled the batch brew ($3.80) which was delicious. My coffee-alternate counterparts had hot chocolate and chai lattes which they were equally happy with. The guys behind the machines are friendly, they let you pay with card, and you'll no doubt leave raving about what a cute and mood-lifting little space Little Rogue is.

Cute hidden back room. Lots of little tables

I've been to Little Rogue a few times now. It's such a small and discrete entrance it would be very easy to walk past without noticing it (which I'm guilty of a few times). The coffee here is excellent, staff are friendly (though always very busy so don't expect long talks with them). One downside is that it is counter service so you can't order from your table - yeah I know, 1st world problems. There is a small cabinet of tasty pastries but no other food is served. For a nice little coffee break and a place to do some work little rogue is a great place to checkout.

    Time for lattes!

Great little coffee shop tucked off the alley. The coffee is excellent, as are the pastries. The staff is super nice. There are a number of seats upstairs, so even if it looks full, they may have room in the back.

A cute little nook down and alley way! What says Melbourne coffee spots better that this one. Delicious coffee, awesome staff and a great place for a take and go coffee or you can relax by one of the window seats as people wonder down the alley and give you strange looks because they just discovered your sitting in a cafe and have reason to be staring at them. Good little spot and also a nice selection of treats too.

The matcha latte here is a must

If you're at Melbourne Central or in the Swanson St area, don't bother going anywhere else for coffee. Head down Drewery lane and look for a door on the left hand side (coming from little lonsdale st) with a bunch of people in it. There may be a lot of people in the front room, keep in mind there's a small room at the back that seats around 11. Really cute Asian/Korean decor, super trendy, incredible coffee. Get the matcha latte, it's particularly good!

Venture down the cobble-stoned laneway and look for the blue door when you're in need of a caffeine hit. The team here are welcoming and will make you a cup of coffee (with some of Melbourne's best beans) for you to enjoy while staring out the front windows solving the problems of the world. If you need something to eat, bring your sweet tooth. There's cookies and cakes from some trendy Melbourne bakers that will surely hit the spot.

I ordered the Iced Coffee and it was great. Love the environment. It is a small cosy cafe hidden away from main street. My sis brought me here and I'm glad I found another great cafe to try out. My sis ordered Matcha Latte and I really like that as well. Definitely will visit again before I leave Melbourne.

Cute little shop that you could walk past tucked away in an alley. Sadly they didn't have almond milk like most other cafes I've been to, but I went for a strong flat white with soy instead. Creamier than almond milk, quite tasty.
