I've been to the New York location, and I actually think I prefer the Dallas restaurant. It's spacious yet still feels intimate, with a warm, comfortable atmosphere. The patio is especially nice, with plenty of seating. One thing to note: they don't serve food between 4 and 5 p.m. while transitioning to dinner service, and that wasn't mentioned anywhere. We arrived starving, but Andrea at the bar took great care of us while we waited. I was craving a hot drink, and although there weren't any on the menu, she whipped up an Irish coffee-style cocktail that was delicious. Later I asked for something "cute," and once again she delivered. At 5 p.m. we were seated, and Michael took over from there. We were in no rush, and he let us enjoy the evening at our own pace as we worked our way through appetizers and drinks. Everything we tried was excellent. The calamari was crispy and fresh, the shrimp toast was buttery with just the right amount of crunch, and the fries were a winner. The standout, though, was the ribs. They came with a grilled mandarin orange to squeeze over the meat, adding a bright flavor to ribs that were incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. Great food, even better hospitality, and a comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to linger. I'm glad to see Little Ruby's in the neighborhood and can definitely see myself becoming a regular.

Had a great time trying Lil Ruby's, went on a Saturday morning and was sat fairly quickly. The outside patios are super cute however, I do wish they had fans. We started off with a mango margarita and a blossom spritz, which is essentially a Hugo spritz. Both drinks were delicious. We just wish the margarita was a bigger glass for the price. We then ordered the french fries with truffle aïoli as an appetizer and the fries are so good for our mains. We had the crispy rice bowl with crispy chicken, and this was by far the winner of the meals. The sandwich was the Bluey and the bread was toasted to perfection. Overall, it is a great place for a nice brunch. I will say the drinks specifically the frozen could be bigger for the price.

An adorable restaurant with outdoor patio seating as well, beautiful decor. Took about 10 minutes for our waiter to come to our table, but after that he was checking in often and refilling our water. We loved every dish that was ordered which included the whipped avocado dip, spicy vodka pasta with crispy chicken and to end the meal with a sticky date cake

Came here for brunch on a rainy day so didnt get to enjoy their patio area, but the interior of the main hall was very cozy and nice. Perfect spot for brunch with the girls. The food leaves much to be desired though, especially considering the price. Tried out the vodka pasta after reading a lot of good reviews about it but i think flavor wise it was a bit flat. We also got the banana bread with passionfruit butter to share which was an interesting mix of sweet, sour, and salty that i actually enjoyed a lot but dont thinks it's worth the price.

Visited this after work with my husband and we had a great experience! I knew I wanted to try the spicy vodka pasta with the fried chicken on top- and it was delicious. The pasta was the real show stopper and I would def order again. My husband had the double patty cheeseburger, it was really flavorful, a little on the smaller side if you're really hungry but good flavor. The shrimp toast was something else I'd recommend, I don't have a pic but it was crispy toast with like a shrimp paste inside? Very flavorful. And the staff were so accommodating, should out to Jay and Emily- so helpful and kind, the team was very attentive and I really appreciate that.

Foodie alert! I had the chance to dine at Little Ruby for brunch, and I would rate it 4/5. I'm subtracting a star because the location is quite hard to find since it's hidden off the street. Aside from that, the service was excellent. The food was even better, and the drinks were on point. It had a really cute, cozy vibe. It's an intimate restaurant with not a lot of space, but just enough to move around. Food: 4/5 BREAKFAST SANDWICH RICOTTA HOTCAKES CRISPY BRUSSEL SPROUTS DRINKS: 5/5 GUAVA COLADA ESPRESSO MARTINI

Had a lovely evening with friends at this new spot! We all split the whipped avocado dip, I ordered a guava lemonade (YUM) and the shrimp and avocado salad. Service was quick, our waiter was friendly and very helpful when deciding what to order. I loved the decor of the restaurant, it is very dreamy and lush looking. It was pretty chilly inside so bring a jacket, but despite being busy, it wasn't overly loud because of the plush seating. They outside patio also looked like a great option for mild weather! I also took the crispy rice salad to-go and thought it was very good, but the halloumi was a little too salty.

It's a blend of cozy café comfort and understated style -- the kind of place that feels equally suited for a relaxed brunch or a casual, feel-good dinner. The service was great, and the server recommendations were on point. For starters, we had the burrata with a side of sourdough bread -- flavorful and well-balanced, with a nice touch of pear and a bit of crunch that elevated the dish. For mains, we ordered the Bronte and the Fried Chicken Burger. I really enjoyed the Bronte, but the fried chicken burger was a bit underwhelming (around a 4/10). On the side, we had French fries with truffle aioli and Brussels sprouts, and both were solid choices. Dessert was the highlight -- the sticky date pudding was an easy 11/10 and definitely one of my top three desserts in Dallas. For drinks, if you enjoy something with a kick, I'd recommend the Yuzu Jalapeño Margarita. We also tried the Espresso Martini, Little Ruby (gin-based), and the Guava Colada -- the guava colada was average (5/10), but the others were good. Overall, it leans more toward elevated comfort food. While everything was enjoyable, nothing besides the dessert truly stood out as extraordinary -- especially at this price point.

    1. Food was not coursed very well. Salad came and then immediately our entrees did and all during this our appetizer wasn't done. 2. Water cups are WAY too small and water service isn't good. Table next to us and us never had water and it was frustrating to keep asking. 3. Service felt pushy trying to get us out in a hurry. 4. Margarita was like 95% ice, pretty flavorless. 5. Steak was a bit over cooked and no dressing on the arugula salad with it.

Lately I've been very skeptical about places from New York and LA coming to Dallas, so I went into Little Ruby's not expecting much, but I ended up loving it. The service was good and I felt welcomed by everyone. The menu has a lot of highlights, mainly the whipped avocado and the sticky date pudding (amazing). My only little concern is that the front gets very crowded because the door to enter/exit the restaurant is also the only door to get to the patio. There is a garage in the structure where they can validate parking to and they also have matchbooks if you're a collector!

Little Ruby's ~ What I Ordered ~ - Strawberry Lemonade ($6) - Spicy Vodka Pasta ($21) - French Fries with Truffle Aioli ($8) - Sticky Date Pudding ($12) ~ Review ~ Little Ruby's is an Australian-inspired, all-day café that originally started in New York and has recently expanded to Dallas. The interior is quite narrow, with limited space to move around, but they do offer outdoor seating. I loved the decor and lighting of this restaurant. As for the service, I felt rushed throughout the meal. At one point, the waitress asked if I wanted my food boxed up while I was still actively eating, even though we had only been there for a little over an hour. That part definitely took away from the experience. The food also took a while to come out, and we weren't asked if we wanted dessert, which made the service feel inattentive overall To start, I ordered the strawberry lemonade. All of their juices are made fresh, and this one was very refreshing. For my main, I tried the spicy vodka pasta. It had a strong basil flavor, which made it taste different from a typical spicy vodka pasta. Since I'm not a fan of basil, I found it to be just average and have definitely had better spicy rigatoni elsewhere. Interestingly, it tasted better the next day, with a less pronounced basil taste. The fries came with an aioli sauce that was exactly what you'd expect - good, but nothing memorable. On their own, the fries weren't particularly a standout either. The highlight of the meal was the sticky date pudding for dessert. It was served warm with ice cream and was absolutely delicious. I especially appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. Overall, I think this spot is better suited for drinks and dessert rather than a dinner. ~ Rating: 6/10 ~

Tried Little Ruby's Café for the first time last night and had a great experience. The space is super cute inside with a warm, slightly dark ambiance that feels perfect for either a casual dinner or a date night. The calamari was amazing and a great way to start the meal. I also tried a couple of the non-alcoholic drinks, the passionfruit ginger and the strawberry lemonade, and both were excellent and really refreshing. For cocktails, I had the spritz with prosecco and St-Germain, which was light, refreshing, and well balanced. Food-wise everything was really strong. The bolognese was delicious and the noodle texture was perfect. No notes there. The spicy vodka pasta was flavorful and actually had a real kick to it, which I appreciated. The salmon was the standout for me. It was cooked beautifully and the sauce it came in was incredible. Very velvety, flavorful, but still light. I would highly recommend ordering the salmon. Service was great, very attentive and kind throughout the meal. If they are newly opened, they are already off to a strong start. Definitely recommend checking it out and I'll absolutely be back within the next 30 days.

Enjoyed a great lunch here on a rainy afternoon by starting the meal off with some of their truffle aioli fries (not pictured). You can tell this is a local favorite as nearly every table was filled. Both pastas came out piping hot and tasted delicious. I could see why they were as busy as they are.

The service was excellent, and our server gave us some great recommendations throughout the evening. We tried the I Dream of Kiwi, Only Fans, and the Soft Serve Margarita. The first two were refreshing, fruity, and packed with flavor, while the Soft Serve Margarita was a fun twist on a classic. For food, we had the Caesar salad, beef cheek tacos, and the Apothecary Burger with the truffle fries upgrade. The Caesar was a little too heavy on the dressing for my taste, making it quite fishy, so I'd recommend asking for the dressing on the side or going light on it. The burger with truffle fries was easily a 9/10, and the beef cheek tacos were just as good--tender, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. One of the best parts is the happy hour offered every day until 6:30 PM, with all "Over the Counter" cocktails for $12 and 50% off food. This time, I had to try the viral frozen margarita, and it totally hit the spot. It was refreshing, not too sweet, and honestly the perfect "boozy dessert" if that's what you're looking for. The dirty martini, my go-to, was also perfect. The most pleasantly surprising drink was the popcorn bourbon cocktail. It literally tasted like buttered popcorn in drink form, but still felt balanced with just enough bitter notes to let the bourbon shine. Overall, Apothecary continues to be one of my favorite spots for creative cocktails that actually taste as good as they look.
