I haven't been in Nampa in years. I was in the area for a doctor's appointment. I left Boise really early so it gave me a chance to find a bite to eat somewhere new. Little Saigon has been on my to go list for a while so today was a good day to try it out. The restaurant is located old Downtown Nampa. Such a cool vibe down here. I lived in Nampa a long time ago and never knew about this area. It was pretty cool to check out. It is different that this restaurant is surrounded by antique stores. I thought I was in the wrong building cause I all I saw were the small shops. But what a great way to work off your meal, go walk around the antique stores and check out their goods. The venue is small and intimate. There were a few guests eating and enjoying their food. I got sat at a bar table by the window. I wanted to try their pho here. It's almost mandatory to try pho at a Vietnamese joint. But I didn't want to be stuffed with rice noodles so I went with the tofu and mixed veggies. I was kinda surprised they didn't have a lunch menu but a dinner portion of tofu and veggies shouldn't be too filling. My tofu and veggies looked great! My veggies looked fresh. I got a few good sized chunks of tofu. I drizzled some Sriracha sauce and dug in. It was made super fresh! The brocolli was so hot when I took a bite of it. Stir fried cabbage will always be my favorite. The sauce was not too salty and had great flavor. My tofu was disappointing despite of how good everything else was. It was dry, hard and store bought. I have had similar tofu like this that I have purchased from the Asian market. As the main star of the dish, it was such a miss. Having fresh fried tofu would have made this dish amazing but overall it was still good. Service was decent. My food was dropped off and wasn't really checked up on till I was waiting for me bill. The veggies were fresh and you get a nice variety of them but the tofu could have been better. The venue is in a pretty cool location. There's a store that I really wanted to check out after lunch but they are only open Friday and Saturday. It's cool I got to check this joint out. Next time I'll have to check out the pho. But it was dope that I got to come in and support a local business today. read more

This place used to be fantastic. The last time we went in, we were told we had to get our food to go "because the dining room was closing".. AT 5:30 PM.. when I asked why we were told that " they want to go home too..." um... ok... then don't be open for dinner at all? I don't understand why they had to be rude. They also no longer offer delivery for some reason which is super frustrating.. because I would order delivery. No longer recommend because they were rude and it's so hard to get in to sit down and eat. read more

Service was good. Food was okay. Got the Spicy Noodle BBH and a couple kid Phos. Kids pho did not come with veggie condiments so an extra $3.50 for some bean sprouts and basil and one jalepenao slice. 19.95 for a pho special, BBh was 17.95. Flavor was okay, not the best pho in the TV. The TV doesn't really have much good pho options so it gets the job done. Overall, flavor not great coupled by higher prices. The value isn't here. Food: amazing, go to Vietnamese restaurant, have tried multiple Vietnamese restaurants but little Saigon still holds the best in my opinion, I order the bun thit nuong cha gio, which is vermicelli noodles, cilantro, green onions, shredded lettuce, char grilled pork and fried spring rolls and lots of other yummy things, you put a sauce called fish sauce on top, which trust me, isn't fishy at all and you mix it around and it sits so refreshingly after eating it. I also like to get an appetizer of fresh spring rolls and fried rolls whenever I go but their other stuff is also very good! For picky eaters and people wanting to try new food I highly recommend. Came for the first time today and WOW this place is amazing. We ordered all vegetarian dishes, and when ordering the Pho, our waiter specifically mentioned the broth was a beef broth, which we greatly appreciated. This was probably some of the best Pho broth I've ever had! I was in the mood for some spring rolls and pho but I live in Kuna so not much is around me . My wife offered to make the drive and I'm so happy she did! The spring rolls were jam packed and the dipping sauce was amazing ! The pho broth was so clean and flavorful I was so in love from the first bite! Saddest and driest spring rolls I have ever had. The roll only consisted of one piece of dried pork and vermicelli. No cilantro, lime, carrots, radish. Disappointing. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, but they open for only few hours a day. I finally made it, I ordered fried calamari for appetizer, and some tofu and veggies as entree. The calamari was definitely not Vietnamese or anything Asian for that matter, the thick breading and the preparation is more like something out of Hooters menu. The tofu and veggies were ok. I love this place! The service is always so great and welcoming & the food never disappoints! Every time we visit we order the spring rolls and summer rolls. It's the best in the treasure valley! Spicy beef was absolutely amazing! Perfect flavor alone, there was no need to add the hoisin/Siracha/soy sauce. The deep fried egg rolls were also so delicious and perfect amount for an appetizer for 2 people. The customer service was above and beyond. A little non-descript and doesn't really stick out, but this little place was a good find. I kinda looks like it used to be a Northwest themed cafe. We seated ourselves and it wasnt too long before the waitress came to hand us a menu and take our drink order. We got the egg rolls and the combo Phó. The egg rolls came with a nicely balanced sauce that wasnt sticky and gooey, so that was nice. They tasted great. The Pho was really great, but if I had something to complain about, I would say it wasnt quite hot enough and the meat was a bit sparse. All in all, seasoned with the sides and some hoisin sauce, it leveled out to a fresh and tasty menu. We split a bowl and it was a perfect portion for two. I'll come back for my Phó needs. It is way easier than the drive to Boise, and there are some other things I want to try. It was worth the visit. read more

Pho...Nampa...Yummm! As you approach the restaurant, don't let the modest entrance scare you away. The restaurant is nothing special and the service is nothing to get excited about either but was friendly. When you enter, you can grab your own table which is nice. I stopped by for lunch to grab some Pho. The Pho arrived within 10 minutes of ordering which of great while on a lunch break. The hot bowl of goodness arrived with the standard lime, sprouts, jalapenos, and basil. I did miss having the cilantro other restaurants provide. The broth was nicely balanced with no sign of sweetness added. The lean sliced off meat were cooked upon arrival and worked well with the broth. My new favorite Vietnamese soup restaurant in Boise ... is in Nampa. A friend recommended Little Saigon, which I had not heard of before. I like pho, but it has become the quintessential Vietnamese food that people are most familiar with. There are many other Vietnamese dishes that are worth exploring, too. In the soup department, I much prefer bun bo Hue. It features a rich broth made from pork and beef bones and also features beef slices, shrimp paste, lemongrass and annatto. Then it's finished tableside with Thai basil leaves, bean sprouts, sliced peppers and a wedge of lime. The best I've had comes from a southeast Portland restaurant that shares the soup's name. They also add cubes of congealed pork blood, which lets you know it's the real deal. My go-to place in Boise used to be Pho Tam on Orchard Street, but it closed last year after failing to bounce back from instances of food poisoning. Still, their version paled in comparison to the Portland version. Little Saigon's bun bo Hue falls in-between. It's a step up from Pho Tam's version and is quite good. The staff is friendly and service is quick. I came in just before noon on a Saturday, with one couple already seated. While I was there, tables filled up quickly. The clientele included young couples, families and a couple of tables of seniors. It made me happy to see such a varied group of people enjoying a cuisine that isn't as well known locally as other Asian cuisines. read more

Quaint little restaurant located among a few antique shops. Since moving to the Treasure Valley a couple years ago I've been looking for a good Pho restaurant. I've visited several and so far this one tops the list. I ordered the Chicken/Pork/Shrimp Pho with clear noodles and a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Very attentive and friendly service. I was seated immediately. The wait time for my order was reasonable. The coffee was good. As soon as my bowl of Pho was delivered I was immediately taken back since the bowl was half empty (or half full if you prefer). For $13.95 on a bowl of noodle soup I expected more. The broth was very good. There was only 1 1/2 shrimp and just a few pieces of chicken and pork. I would've loved to give them 5 stars but simply can't because the portion size was too small especially for the price. The taste was right on point though. I'll be back but my search for the best Pho in the area will continue. read more

We walked to the front counter and said we are leaving, we have waited almost a hour and never even got our appetizer. She just smiled and said ok I'm sorry, thank you for coming in. MOST places would tell you I am so sorry, it's cooking, 2 more minutes, it's almost ready. SOMETHING. Made me think our order had never even been placed!
