We chose to sit in the patio due to inside seating seaming a bit crammed. Tables were too close together leaving minimal space to enjoy your meal. After a short wait our waiter made her way over. We all went with the bottomless option which is inclusive of 90 mins unlimited drinks (margaritas, mimosa, Bloody Mary & draft beers) and an entree for $45). Little Tijuana is considered a margarita bar so of course I went with margaritas. You have your choice of flavors as well as classic or frozen. The margaritas are strong and tasty!!! Impressive!! From the outside, you would never expect anything like this. This picture does not do it justice. I have no complains we were treated with the upmost respect. Let's start with the service. My server was Jaida and her spirit and energy were so inviting and refreshing. Sundays are my days to chill and recover and she made it easy to do so. The manager, Frank, was also graceful and amazing. I had a food allergy and they wasted ZERO time removing it from my table and bringing me a new plate of food. THAT is what I like spending my hard earned coin on!!! Next: the food. I ordered the chicken and waffles and to my surprise it was very tasty!! The menu looked great so we decided to go and give it a try and when we got there we thought we were in the wrong place because there were bouncers and security everywhere. We didn't have to wait for a table and we're seated off to the side near a bar where we realized that this place is probably more of a club than a restaurant. Our server was extremely kind, but I think there must've been an issue with the couple next to us because we sorta lost her attention for a while as she and a manager were sorting through a drink fiasco. I went to Little Tijuana for brunch yesterday. My friend and I came in as walk ins, we were seated fair quickly. We did the Tijuana brunch menu where you pick an entree and get bottomless drinks. I like the fact that the drinks weren't just mimosas, but you could get margaritas (which I recommend) bloody Mary's or draft beers as well. This is for a total of 90 minutes and they monitor your time too. The place is definitely a vibe. Has a nice flower wall for photo ops. Only downside is that if you're not planning on doing valet parking, street parking is very scarce. Also, FYI the brunch menu only had 8 entrees available. This is specific for women, the bathroom only has 2 stalls and there is a flower decorated wall with a neon sign so there are alot of pics being taken so the bathroom is sure to be full. I've been trying to go to Little Tijuana for a while because of how instagrammable it is! I must say they did not disappoint on the photo opportunities because there was one on every corner. The place is also really big, which I did not expect. They have a traditional restaurant area, lounge area, and patio seating. I believe they have a rooftop also. Be sure to make a reservation in advance because they get booked quickly. My party was seated once we arrived. Unfortunately it was pretty hot that day and we booked outside. There wasn't enough cooling. For drinks we ordered the Besitos and Tulum Sky's. I preferred my drink (Tulum Sky's) more because it was sweeter. The drinks were really good (imo) and seemed to have a good amount of alcohol in them, despite comments stating otherwise. We decided to stick with the appetizers because the comments scared us away from entrees. We tried the Guacamole and Chips and Mexican Shrimp. Both were delicious! I was surprised since I don't usually like seafood. The chips were really good. Not too salty. Since we didn't try any entree we ordered dessert, the Tres Leches. It was not the best. It had a weird texture, unlike how it's supposed to be, but the taste was delicious. The prices were pretty high for what we ordered so beware. We placed our food order. Drinks: La Patrona-very good, mixed well. Kudos to the bartender. Food: Guacamole needs salt. Chili lime shrimp with mango salsa is good. Roast chicken was just ok. Fried too long, a bit dry and it honestly tasted like it was fried in the same grease as the fish. Henceforth it wasn't roasted chicken. The bill had an automatic 20% added that the service staff absolutely did NOT deserve. Service needs help DESPERATELY. 5 plus stars to the DJ. Music was on point. We requested to be moved because the speakers were directly in our ears. I'm not sure how anyone dines with the music blasting that loudly. Towards the end of the night they did turn it down. We had a great time. Hookah is $45 (cash only)which is a little absurd to me given the location and day. They should definitely work with the hookah people and do a discounted day or something. Also, our waiter(although nice) wasn't really waiting. On several occasion we had to call her over. We didn't receive utensils but our meal had already come out. When the check came she took the original receipt and we were about to tip because we were sure if it was included. Thankfully we asked for the original to find out it was included. The restaurant is very clean and is well decorated. The menus are on tablets, so that makes the experience feel modern. The bar staff is slow. There were four of us in our group and our drinks came out one...by...one. When the apps arrive before the drinks, that's a bit weird, especially on a slow night. The food was very good, the guacamole was excellent, as was the fundido. The entrees also came out in shifts, though. Although the server was nice, I had an issue with an automatic gratuity of 18% being put on all tabs regardless of party size as well as a 4% CC premium. Although I don't like the practice that appears to be epidemic since COVID-19, I'm okay with 2 or 3%, but 4% is excessive. This establishment is a rip off. I been multiple of times because it's the newest thing circling in Newark , but it's not worth it . For #1 it's street parking and it is horrible. They have a small valet parking lot on the side street of the restaurant however you have to pay $10-20. On certain nights they charge you to get it . Mind you this is a restaurant !
