My husband and I are new to the area and prior to us relocating, I spent weeks searching for a day care that would provide proper care in a caring, hygienic and learning-focused environment. I drove about two hours round trip to visit four day care facilities in the area and called numerous more inquiring. Just asking around, three people in the area, two from the local school district, and another, an educator in the area, mentioned Jumpstart Academy and how this facility was the best in the area. When I went to Jumpstart, I was greeted by Caitlin and Mary at the front desk who were extremely informative and professional. Although I was ready to sign up immediately, there was a waitlist!! I was devastated! I even sent my husband to visit and see if they had a new accommodation but to no avail! Other day care facilities I visited looked dirty and had old equipment. The classrooms were massive with tons of kids running amuck and having seemingly no organization. One facility smelled like pure urine as you entered the foyer! I left a down payment with a chain school in the area where there had been a waitlist that opened up. I wasn't entirely happy, but it was better than most. I made a last ditch effort and called and spoke with Suzanne before I took the plunge and filled out the paperwork for the other school. Suzanne, the owner, is exceedingly sweet and no doubt about it, she cares about not only her employees, but the children as well. Her manner put me at ease immediately. She was extremely accommodating and told me to come in because she would have availability for my dear daughter. My sweetheart has been with Jumpstart for 3 months. She is always happy to go "to school" in the morning. We have the option of viewing her classroom in real-time online during the day. We also have the option of paying for a lunch each day with yummy options each week such as pizza, french toast with sausage and grilled cheese! The teachers Julie, Sam and Val have treated my dear so well and they are always so willing to tell me about how my daughter's day went. I am eternally grateful to have "stumbled" on this facility online because I would have NEVER come across it otherwise because it is well hidden gem just beyond the railroad tracks! To sum up this review, I highly recommend Jumpstart Academy for the discerning, obsessive, highly-strung parent, like myself. This has been one of the best decisions we have made since we moved to the area!

We go a little out of our way to drop our kids off there, because there's just no other place like it near us. The staff is friendly and courteous. The building is very clean and has a great layout: classrooms for all ages, a multi-purpose room for play, and a computer room. They even have a couple different outside play areas. The owner, Suzanne, really makes you feel like family and she has established an amazing educational environment. The staff even helps toddlers with potty-training, which is invaluable. As for curriculum, they operate off of themes for different weeks and have related activities for the kids (even the babies) to do. I've received some of the most precious works of art from my boys because of the hard work and dedication of the staff. We just can't say enough about this place. First class, all of the way!!!

I also said it is NOT my job to tell a parent and diagnosis any child with Autism. You had ask me several times in the few weeks he was here if I thought he was Autistic. I said he has some tendencies. We met many times to discuss all of your concerns that you had with your son. Miss Renee has many many years of experience in this field and myself. I take pride in what we both do to provide excellent care and proper education skills for all the children going through Carousel to succeed in their future education. Berlin Boro and many other school districts tell our parents going into kindergarten that the children coming from Carousel Academy are the most prepared kids coming from any other preschool and excel in their first year of big school. We worked through your child's day by day experiences. We gave your child a one on one aide, me being one of them at times. You thanked me up and down for keeping him here and working with your son. We tried our best and felt he needed to have more one on one assistance and maybe look into getting him evaluated with your school district. I Never and will Never tell any parent their child has Autism. It is not my job! This year due to the covid restrictions parents are not able to enter the school and the children are screened daily before entering. I had a very disappointing experience with Children of America in Sicklerville. My 2.5-year-old…read moredaughter attended three days a week, and instead of receiving support, she was labeled unfairly. Staff (preschool teacher) suggested she was "tensing up around Black children," which was extremely upsetting and inappropriate. I had already informed them she is in the process of being evaluated for autism, yet that context was ignored. What made it worse was a staff member pointing out that she was "fine around the white child in the room," which felt insensitive and unprofessional. My daughter interacts well with adults of all backgrounds, including Black staff members, so this conclusion about her behavior felt inaccurate and concerning. Additionally, she was placed in a baby room without my knowledge, where I did not have camera access. I was not informed about this change, nor was I notified that she needed more diapers--they simply used a different brand without asking me. Overall, communication was poor, and I did not feel my child was understood, respected, or properly cared for. I would not recommend this location to other parents.
