I believe I was lied to about the dog I adopted from there. Be careful and ask lots of questions. Make sure the animals are properly vetted. The dog was very aggressive towards little ones and bit a dog and bit two adults. I do not recommend this rescue to prevent others from stress and being hurt physically and mentally. read more

I'm deeply disappointed in the lack of effort demonstrated in getting animals adopted. I also represent organizations with substantial ability to provide assistance. I am shocked that they dump pets at store to be adopted yet can never make it there to let you meet the pet. Pu no effort into one cat who they pulled out of adoption availability. It takes EFFORT people--you just want to rake in cash & dump those that take effort. A cat that was skittish about people was removed from adoption. She was highly likely to succeed in conversion to pet but between dumping her at store and never being able to show her and not knowing what you ultimately did with her I have determined that you feel you have no accountability as a nonprofit. Rake in the easy money. One time a week farm tours and don't show up other times? What effort is that to adopt out or connect with public. Public is not here solely to subsidize your business profits. Your air of secrecy and inability to account for a pet in your care is worrisome. read more

Live and Let Live Farm has no doubt helped a lot of horses over the years. However, they seem to take a "one size fits all" approach to equine care as evidenced by the death of Pride only 3 1/2 months after arrival. Pride was a Saddlebred cross mare, in her early 20's, who was surrendered to LLLF because her owner suffered hardships that prevented her caring for her horse any longer. Pride was given a clean bill of health by her vet when the Coggins was done; only health condition was a mild case of heaves for which she needed daily medication and soaked hay. Pride arrived at LLLF on March 3 and was euthanized around the middle of June. Not a lot is known about her time at this rescue except that a picture taken in late March shows Pride looking over a fence, noticeably thinner than her intake photos, blanketless in the cold even though she clearly did not have enough fat to keep herself warm. Whatever she was fed was not sufficient to maintain her weight and the conditions to which Pride was subjected caused her health to fail. Make LLLF transparent to the public as required by their nonprofit, 501c status. They claim to have as many as 70 horses at a time and yet spend an average of $50/head on vet bills. Despite repeated requests by the previous owner, LLLF has refused to provide any evidence that Pride was treated by a vet at any time during the last 3 1/2 months of her life. They will not answer any questions about the care they provide to their animals, in fact. read more

A Lifesaver For Many Animals. The farm does its best in every case and because some horses come there severely malnourished that horse may not recov er. But they do the best they can and have constant vet supervision and spend Lots!!! Of money on vet care and feed. I don't think anyone should criticize what they do. I got my dog there and he is the dearest little pup! They have saved many many creatures! They are the best! read more

Live and Let Live Farm is an amazing sanctuary for abused and neglected horses. They have helped so many horses over the years. I have loved volunteering there very much. They always put the horse's first and everyone makes sure that each horse gets the special car that it needs. read more
