I'm not a home builder but I'm smart enough to know that nails that don't go through two pieces of wood it useless. Every short cut that can be taken will be taken. The house was dirty even after cleaning, random nails sticking out of cabinet shelves, the inspection you get is his "punch list". They painted the house in the dark which was obvious. Tried the Stevie Wonder approach, but come to find out they can't paint as well as Stevie can play the piano without seeing. We moved here due to getting orders so we were in a rush to close. We found a neighborhood we liked and a house that would look good and bought it as we have done in the past with no issue. Josh, my man, you suck at building houses or manage a house being built.

The power company initially declined to run power bc of how they wound have to run the cable around footers, brick and hardi board. I told them to shim the meter box to give the 1/4 inch of room the power company needed. I would rather the box stick out a little more. I explicitly told them not to cut the hardi board or cut the brick for running power. They cut it all anyway and jack hammered the footer. They had it "fixed." The fix is terrible. It will cost me 600.00 plus the cost of more brick and mortar to have it fixed correctly. There were several problems that could have been avoided if Josh and Buddy had better quality control. Neither of them would go out to make sure that everything was OK before moving on to the next step. My husband and I did a lot of it. Josh refused to show me invoices for upgrades because "you are not cost plus." That meant for an additional 15% of every draw, he would have been happy to show us. I needed to pay for his transparency. There is no law in MS stating he cannot do that. However, the man that I spoke with at the MSBoC agreed that it is shady, but not "misconduct." Some walls are way off square. Walls are visibly crooked in 3 rooms of the house. Two walls are wavy. Buddy baffled me with BS and said that allowances are made for bowed timber used in homes.
