Timberlane Washateria - This is the washateria I went to after the encounter with Timber Lakes Washateria "Manager". They lost a customer.

I walked into Timber Lane Washateria to check if the machines used coins or cards. After seeing that they required quarters, I used their on-site ATM to withdraw $20 so I could get change and start doing my laundry. Before I could even walk back out to grab my clothes, I was aggressively confronted by a man in ragged clothes--no uniform, no name tag, nothing identifying him as staff--demanding to know if I was actually planning to wash clothes there. I told him yes, and that my clothes were in my car. That wasn't enough. He immediately launched into an accusatory rant about people coming in to "steal quarters" and how only real customers are allowed to use the change machine. I explained--calmly--that I am a customer and was just preparing before hauling in my laundry. Instead of backing off, he kept pushing, arguing, and treating me like a thief. When I asked who the manager was, he smugly said it was him. I asked who the owner was, and he just pointed to a sign like that was supposed to solve everything. I took my quarters and my business to Washateria Lavanderia off Loop 336, where I was welcomed without suspicion and treated like a human being. And as I was leaving Timber Lane, walking to my car, I looked through the window and saw that same man very clearly mouth the words "f*** you" at me. No shame. No professionalism. Just petty, angry behavior. After I left, I called the number posted inside the business. Someone claiming to be the assistant to the owner answered and tried to justify the harassment, saying people come in without laundry and "rob quarters from the customer." That logic is absurd. If someone puts paper money into your change machine, you're not being robbed--you're exchanging one form of currency for another. You're not losing money. If those quarters do get used on your machines, you make money. If not, you're still not in the red--at worst, you need a better coin management system. If you're that worried about availability, then implement a solution like every other laundry business with common sense does: a change limit, a secure backup stash, or better yet--upgrade to card systems like it's 2025. This place doesn't care about customer experience. They care about control and paranoia. Instead of setting up a system that works, they'd rather harass customers and throw attitude. Timber Lane Washateria is a disgrace. If this is how they treat people ready to spend money, imagine how they handle real issues. Don't give them your business. Spend your money somewhere you're respected. Here is a picture of a washateria that is cleaner, cheaper, and won't chase off their customers over BS

They have 40 washers priced at $1.50 per load, and 25 dryers priced at $0.50 per 15 minutes. The washers are pretty standard and finish up in about 30 minutes. The dryers are huge, and big enough for 2 loads or more. It gets your clothes semi dry after 15 minutes. They have plenty of benches, tables, and chairs for people to wait comfortably. They have snacks, free wi-fi, and television for people who are bored waiting. This was my first time at a laundromat, and if I need to, I definitely wouldn't mind coming back.

There is still an entire row of single load washers that are all marked "out of order" (this place only has 2 rows of washers) so you're forced to use the more expensive machines. Because of Covid, most of the customers wait in their car for their laundry to be done, but if the employees want to use the washer (because there are only a few not marked "out of order") or dryer, they WILL move your clothes while you're in your car. This place is like doing laundry at a grouchy neighbors house. It's visibly not meant for you to use, and you'll get attitude if you ask for help. If they want to be a dry cleaners they should just be a dry cleaners.
