Love this salon! Everyone is so nice and they have great colors to choose from. They can also do some pretty impressive nail art! I usually have longer nails and get cute designs all the time but right now I've been having to do shorter nails instead. I really appreciate the time they still take to make sure my short nails still look just as good as my long. The shape is always perfect and the color(s) are nicely applied. I have never walked out disappointed. I also get pedicures here and it's so relaxing. They have several options but I like the one option that includes hot stones. And everything is very clean and professional. Honestly I recommend this salon to everyone. I went to a couple others before coming here and this is by far my favorite spot! read more

I've given this salon a couple of chances and my nails each time come out thick, uneven, and messy, and I had to go back each time to have them corrected. While they did improve after being redone, they still weren't as clean and polished as I would expect for the price. A good set should be thin, not bulky or puffy, with a smooth surface (no lumps or dips), a clean cuticle area (no product on the skin), and straight, even shaping. When these things are off, it's noticeable right away. I'm not sure if it's the products being used, the application, or rushing, but for a mid-to-high price range, I expected better consistency and attention to detail. I was also told it was due to my natural nails, but I've had my nails done at other salons and never experienced these issues, so I don't believe that's the case. I really appreciate their willingness to fix the work, but I'd prefer a place that gets it right the first time without needing adjustments. Especially since those adjustments aren't the best either... Getting your nails done should be a fun, relaxing experience, not one where you're worried about the outcome each time. read more

Pros: Everyone was very nice and if paying with cash, they give you a 5% discount. Also, the nail artist who did my niece's nails, did an amazing job with nail art on all nails. My daughter was happy with her nails, as well. Cons: When I called in, I asked for 6:00 appointments for the three of us and was told that would be fine. We got there early and weren't seated till 6:30. Again, everyone was very nice, but I wasn't happy with having to wait so long, and for paying for one of the bigger pedicure packages, I feel that the polish job could have been better. Also, I was given a pre stamped incentive card which came with one stamp. I was given another stamp but should have given more since I paid for all three of our services. read more

I've been through so many nail salons throughout San Diego for several years, and since finding LK, I've stopped roaming! The nail technicians and designers are great at what they do, and have consistently provided excellent customer service. I get off work really late so don't get in until 6pm. They are willing to stay past their closing to work on my nails even though they're not obligated at all to. Pictures are about 1-2 weeks old each time since I forget to post, but quality of their work is fantastic. They've never turned away any crazy designs I find online, and try their best to make it as close to the design as possible. They're a little far out in Santee, but I think they're worth the drive and I'll still be coming back even after I move out of the El Cajon area! read more

I used to love this salon and was a loyal customer for a long time. In the beginning, the hospitality was great, and their attention to detail was great. Unfortunately, over the last year, the quality of service has significantly declined, and I will no longer be returning. Lately, every visit feels rushed. It's no longer just about them rushing through intricate art; EVEN basic, regular nail sets are being done sloppily. I've left with nails missing a final coat of polish and spots where the natural nail is still showing on the corners. If you go here, expect to have to return for a touch-up, or prepare to closely inspect your hands before you leave. To make matters worse, the staff seems visibly irritated when you politely try to correct their mistakes in the chair. Their scheduling system is also unprofessional. Making an appointment means nothing here. Even when arriving on time or early, the wait is long. During a recent visit, they actually took a walk-in right before me despite my appointment. If you do decide to come here, I highly recommend avoiding the weekends entirely, as they take on far too many clients and cannot provide the service you are paying for. It is truly unfortunate because this salon used to be wonderful, but management seriously needs to address the lack of basic quality control. read more

I told them I wanted regular polish for a regular pedicure. The pedicure took so long I paid and told them I would come back the next day for the paint. They charged me for a full pedicure AGAIN even though they didn't paint the feet the previous day and I only needed the paint finished I didn't add any additional services. I didn't get any callous remover, any fancy scrubs, massages or treatment and paid over $20 both days. On the second day the guy started using gel polish even though I said numerous times I wanted regular paint then told me to pay extra for the gel, I told him no so he started over with regular polish. Very shady and I've seen nail shops do this to get extra money for gel since they already started. Plus I paid $40-50 for regular pedicure that took two days and was very sloppy. The first time I came it was near the grand opening, someone was doing my toes and the work wasn't good so another tech came over and finished it. Seems like they have some techs there who don't do good jobs at all and I'll never go back! For the customers who got designs and extra they offered them AND their guests drinks and were very friendly. I wasn't offered anything on either day. Guess they only cater to the customers who pay more and will be shady and charge more if you're not booking a more pricey service. This is the RIGHT location in Santee, California read more

I should have left went I saw three people coming in to get repairs on nails just done. My full set...Thick & lumpy. I've never been so disappointed in my life. The price-to quality ration is insane. I literally went home and reshaped my own nails. Toe nails were big and square they literally looked like saltine crackers. At this point I can't even trust yelp anymore. I don't know, maybe people out here are use to mid and overpriced quality of nails. But I'm not. I don't mind paying for good work but this..... laughable. This was our first time here. It was Mother's Day and they took me my daughter and husband in as walk ins. The nail salon was very nice and clean on the inside. We got pedicures and the prices and services were exceptionally fair and reasonable. They had many drink choices but the Vietnamese coffee was our favorite. Everyone was very friendly and patient. They made our entire experience fun and relaxing. They took there time and we never felt rushed. Our nails looked amazing and our feel felt like a dream.
