How exciting to get our first LL Bean store in the 757. This was a big deal for VB to land over Norfolk. Located in the Lynnhaven Mall on the East side. They have redone the entire area and this is a new build out. A new entrance to the mall was added beside it. You can enter from the outside. The parking situation always depends on day and time. I've now visited four times and weekdays is easy, weekends of course busier. Trash is kept at a minimum and can are at the main entrance if needed. The store really just about has it all! From kayaks to men's & women's clothing. From bikes to fishing rods. From shoes to tents and even some snack products. But what sets them apart is their outdoor experiences which I will touch on. If there is a limitation it's the fact they do not carry children's clothing and shoes. Also no fire arms. The store is very well laid out in sections. The checkout is in the back. There is an entrance/exit to the mall. I have had opportunities to try on clothing and the changing areas are off to the side toward the mall. Customer service has been spectacular. The employees really know their product and are eager to assist. No pressure on purchasing either. At one point while trying on shorts it took me 30 min and the clerk was always around to check in, get different sizes etc. I experienced a checkout and return of products. The process was very smooth on both ends. The clerks were professional and friendly. Products are quality, so expect to pay for what you get. Finally I also enjoyed an Outdoor Discovery School. These brochures are by the checkout and a LCD screen right of the checkout has the calendar with times and prices. You can purchase this at the store, or online and pricing is very affordable. So what are they? You can learn kayaking, or fly fishing among other items. Not all experiences are for novice. My family went on a two hour kayak trip at Stumpy Lake. It was perfect for the kids to learn proper techniques and safety in the craft. Instructors Jason P. (Yelp Elite) & David were rock stars. My family really enjoyed. Different regions have different experiences based on the locales geography. They also have FREE experiences such as how to set up a tent that's done in the store. No reservation required. I know there is competition with Dicks and REI. But I'm a big fan of LL Bean.

Beautiful store with easy access from the parking lot. Prices are expensive as per usual with LLBean but the store was very clean and the staff was friendly. Found just what I was looking for and they even have me free stickers.

Nice store, very friendly sales staff - not too intrusive but helpful and available. We were shoe shopping. Most of the shoes that are in their catalogs are where as well as a great sales rack! The only complaint is that the shoes are displayed in such a way you can't see them without pulling them out from display on the wall. And they are stacked on top of one another that it is difficult. I was hoping to shop the home goods - no home goods here. Kayaks, bikes, backpacks - it's all here! They also have the LL Bean Signature. A nice upscale line!

Beautiful store that still has that new store smell. If you're looking for L.L.Bean this is definitely the place to come.

And when I was ready to check out I had to move around to get someone to notice me and ask me if I was checking out and when I did get check out the associate that assist me was short with me and was not really getting welcomed vibes and when she gave me my receipt I was expecting like a typical shopping bag but I guess they do not do that or at least told me they do not. And when she was done she just kind of walked off . Overall experience was not terrible but it wasn't the best customer service interaction and I feel like as a business that serves with intent to make people feel welcome and appreciate it to find nostalgic pieces or even fashion in general should feel equally welcome and it just felt divided there . And I actually only stopped by because I was near the area and I was recommended by this by vintage store nearby. The only good thing that I can say is that the clothes options were really good and the price throughout the store was good and the way there organized the store was nice where you had a variety to pick from and I was able to find a lounge beach top with a black top and cargo pants skirt a perfect outfit for the beach or lunch date and more. Again, I wouldn't recommend going to this establishment other than buying clothes, but I hope in the future that they work on their customer service skills and treats people equally

The staff make commission so they do tend to lean towards the overbearing side by bringing you a bunch of items and trying to get you to buy all kinds of things that you probably don't need, like, or want but they will cater to your needs and bring you whatever you want or ask for while you are in the store which can be nice if you know how to handle it... Since they no longer apparently carry the Lucky jeans I now wear their BKE but I am a picky jeans gal and am particular about the style of the back pockets. They have a beachy, shabby chic, grunge-type style if you ask me... torn and rhinestone jeans with faded T's and lots of Hurley stuff... I typically only buy jeans here - I do love them - but the shirts are not my style. My husband bought jeans, shirts, t-shirts, hats, flip flops, etc. I enjoy shopping here but, as I mentioned above, make sure you are firm about what you do and don't want or like when you first start working with one of the employees inside, otherwise they will waste your time showing you a bunch of things you probably won't even like or want to wear...

It's a Coastal Edge skater hip type of atmosphere that works for the current day. You can find the store at the front of the mall's new entrance. Plenty of surface parking just feet away. Also a garage is available. The store presented well with lots of displays of unisex clothing for teens. In the rear are skate boards and accessories. The Stance socks my son wanted run 15-$20+. There inventory was very low and the clerk apologized. They have yet to catch up from the Christmas rush. I also looked over their higher end Nike shoes. The inventory was pretty sweet and they had a deal for 50% off the second pair per the staff. I did find an exchange pair of socks and bought a three pack of Nike. There was a small issue with the return that was resolved nicely by the lady sales clerk. I would recommend and shop them again.

In my previous reviews of Tilly's and Buckle, I described Lynnhaven Mall's signature style as youthful (meaning under the age of 18), surfer, skater, preppy suburbanite. Along comes Zumiez, one of the newest stores added to the mix, and we are met with more of the same. Zumiez sells men's and women's surfer and skater brands in the most up to the minute styles. They certainly have more men's clothing and certainly all casual clothing, although there are a few really cute dresses here. The prices are on par with other stores offering similar brands. If you're lucky enough to catch a sale, you're in for some good deals.

What a cool store!!…read more Box Lunch is located inside Lynnhaven Mall, beside Forever 21 and across from Sephora and Apple. T-shirts, wallets, keychains, stuffed animals, enamel and button pins, toys, funko Pop products, keychains, random "cool" snacks and small mystery toy boxes, great spot for gifts! They have sections of products with Disney characters, anime, a section of "The OFFICE" products (hey Dunder Mifflin folks,) Friends, Stranger Things, and many others! I only wish they had a Peanuts and Sanrio (Hello Kitty) section as well. Prices - average what you'd pay at other mall stores for licensed character products. They had a special going the day I went - "All items that cost under $10 are buy two, get one free." I did grab a Hi-Chew (Asian starburst type candy,) but said no thanks when I found out it was $4.99. I did end up getting some buttons for my bookbag. Three for $5 with the special. Service was good too! My best summarized description: a less dark Hot Topic, and a non-raunchy, "clean" version of Spencer's, combined with FYE and the Disney Store. Best thing about Box Lunch? Check out this info from their website - "With every $10 spent on our pop culture-themed product offering of apparel, accessories, home goods, gift and novelty, and collectibles, BoxLunch will help provide a meal secured by Feeding America® on behalf of local member food banks."
