Tried Yelp and there are many Yelpers in this region so compared Trip Advisor and settled on a local pub that had decent reviews. Unfortunately the pub switched ownership and the menu totally changed. So we left and walked up the street and cosmically Johnny Dough's beckoned is in and we were so glad we opened the door and asked "are you still serving". The man (pizza chef) / woman (counter) duo were very welcoming and offered us tastes of the local beers and then offered to do a "half and half" pizza to meet both of our tastes. This was just what the Pizza Dan ordered and we really enjoyed the 1/2 marg and 1/2 pepperoni. Delicious and perfect lightly charred crust yet chewy and not too much sauce to sog. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and they make their own sauce. I would compare to a pizza I had while in Italy. Overall, a nice spot to grab a bite and drink. Dylan's is in a beautiful location directly on the water, and the atmosphere is elegant but relaxed. There's lots of inexpensive public parking at the nearby beach, so there's no need to worry about finding a place to park. The first night, I ordered the crispy sea bass tacos, and the quality of the sea bass was sensational. The next night, I had the herb and parmesan crusted hake fillet, which if anything was even more delicious. The hake was possibly the best fish I've ever eaten, and the creamy mustard leeks were spectacular. After a lot of heavy pub food while traveling in Wales, the light and refined food at Dylan's was a welcome change. The only thing that I didn't like quite as much was the dessert: I ordered the cinnamon churros, and while they were by no means bad, they just didn't wow me the way the rest of the meal had. Our servers both evening were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I also appreciated that Dylan's is open until 11:00 p.m., as many of the restaurants we ate at in Wales closed considerably earlier. If you're in Criccieth, I'd certainly recommend Dylan's!

The actual restaurant is very small and holding I'd say no more than 10 tables varying in size from two upwards. They catered for big parties as well. After half an hour we returned and ordered. We were used to restaurants like Ask Italian, the choice was excellent. My girlfriend went for the vegetarian gnocchi and I the vegetarian rice dish. I will not attempt to type their Italian names. We also ordered a side of garlic bread to share. The best way for me to say this is that they do not skimp on either the cheese or the portion size, and that the reason why a half portion size is available for almost every dish quickly became explained. I could not finish mine, I felt awful having left nearly half but I was beaten. We shall return and I recommend it to anyone who wants to try real Italian food, when you happen to be in Wales.

It's a decent and long established place with a very good reputation and serves good quality food at reasonable prices. It does get busy which helps to create a good atmosphere (most of the time at least) and it's worth a try if you can get a table.
