And Yapps would not be a bad place to end up outside when the engine finally cuts out. They're happy to help clueless people like me that still don't understand why you fill the car with petrol at the back when the engine's at the front, and they won't take you for a ride either. They have standard prices for everything and they'll talk you through it first. It's as cheap a service as you can expect from car related things and their service is really fast. I'd recommend them, which I believe I've proven by the fact that I just did.

The time I took my car I wasn't very happy with the new tyres they sold me. My neighbour, however, always takes her car there. But one time she did get a call from the local plod saying that she'd been seen speeding down the Pentyrch hill. But her car was in the garage. Without doubt this was the best experience I've yet had when it comes to having work or an MoT done on my car. As this is not a private concern they are not looking to make money from you and therefore all you get is the MoT. Which was done efficiently and with a helpfulness I just haven't found at other garages. The location of the garage is also a bonus as it is a short walk from the City Centre, so making it easy to pass the time while you wait for the MoT to be completed. The only minus point is the garage can be a little hard to find at first, but that really is the worst thing I can think to say about this place. It also should be noted that this is a place of work, you won't find a smiling receptionist behind a PC or smart waiting area with coffee machine; it is all very basic. Personally I quite like that lack of pretence, but some might not. Will definitely be returning for my next MoT if in area.

my son took his car here on my recommendation . He explained that another garage had diagnosed…read morebottom engine mounting needs replacing but had closed temporarily . He sourced the parts himself and had a quote being told that it might be more depending on getting the car on the ramps which he accepted and presumably there would be a telephone call to advise him of this . The garage rang him and gave him an updated quote which he accepted . The garage rang him to say the parts had been fitted as requested but that they did not need replacing and did not fix the fault but they had done as instructed and replaced the parts regardless . They did not feel the need to telephone and inform him of this and just said we have done what was asked . So some £150 for something that they knew did not need fixing . I'm not impressed with this attitude all we're looking for is fair play consequently will not be returning to this garage .
