Lloyd freeburg you are one of the biggest con artists I have ever met. You have a lot to say and not a single action to show for it. This man not only had dementia when he took on this case but his whole team decided it was ok to just let him ruin peoples lives while he had his one last hoorah in court. Not only did he get my fiancé a deal way worse than what the public defender was offering, but he also did not look over the case once to realize his client SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE AND NOT CONVICTED! you take peoples troubles and desperation and use it to take their money. All this guy cared about was to get people to drug court and have them sign up for the program and get his cut out of it. He's disrespectful, won't answer a single one of your calls, and also acts like he wasn't paid an hour before hearings and when you are scrambling to get the money YOU ALREADY PAID he'll tell you "if you can't afford it then just say so". Lloyd freeburg thank you for your negligence, you single handily have dropped us in a wrongful conviction that no one is willing to even listen to. Lloyd Freeberg has over 40 years experience and really is one of the most respected lawyers in the area. This review is long overdue. Mr Freeberg and his team are exceptional and I can honestly say he saved my life. A few years ago I was in a lot of trouble and I had hired a lawyer that was not doing anything for me. She was a hotshot lawyer and got a big case at the time I think. She took my money, wouldn't return my phone calls, sent other people to court instead of coming herself and told me to take a deal for 9 years because that was the best I could hope to get. She said it was the best I was going to get.. because she didn't want to do any work and wanted the case to be done with. I knew I had to get another lawyer. Lloyd Freeberg works miracles because he truly feels a responsibility to his clients and he is truly passionate about what he does. He told me about a client that shaped his perspective on his work. Early in his career he was only concerned with paid and getting his clients off. He wasn't interested in why the clients were getting into trouble until he had a client who he got off of a DUI call him again confessing that he killed someone drunk driving. That changed him and he wanted his clients to do better for themselves and not just get out of jail. When I met him he told me that he would fight for me if I would fight for myself. It's true. His dedication is undeniable. I've also heard other clients say he's returned their call even when they've called late at night. He is working all the time. When he goes to court it is apparent that he knows everyone there and they are all friendly. He pushed my case back because it would be favorable to me even though I only paid him one retainer. The lawyer I had before told me 9 years would be the best deal I could ever get but I never had to see the inside of the jail with Mr. Freeberg. Lloyd is a condescending, pompous, arrogant, heartless person who really doesn't care about anything but money. Read the texts from him to other clients (pictures uploaded here) he claims to have all special types of relationship and great deals he could only achieve. Come to find out, he's a joke. He's suffering from dementia I think, so he will say the same thing over and over, the same story over and over. If he says journey letter only more time, I am going to go crazy. Maybe he was a decent human and lawyer in 1920, but the fact stands, he is losing his mind, manners, and can't show up to court if his life depended on it. He uses his power, and your desperation to taunt you, belittle you, and just be an evil person. I wouldn't want a lawyer like this, nor someone in my life in any degree for that matter. I was highly recommended to this office. But neither Mr. Freeberg nor his office manager Sarah return phone calls. I have been calling the office for 3 weeks now with no return call. I've spoke briefly to Mr. Freeberg, only to be told I'll call you back,but of course nothing and he'll forward your call to voice mail when you call him. I have to give him one star to post this review. Honestly, he doesn't deserve any. Our case still haunts me. We wasted more than $20k in hiring Mr. Freeberg. The outcome of our son's case was no better than what a public defender could have accomplished. Mr. Freeberg lied to us and our son about his plan of action. My husband and son in law went to his office 3 years ago to seek help for my husband criminal matter. We don't know anything about Lloyd. When they met Lloyd he was so helpful give my husband advice and even help him to go to therapist. He was so helpful to everything that we need to do, we could not hire him that time because we couldn't afford his service. He did not charge us for anything he has done including the therapist! Lloyd and his entire staff really came through for me. Sometimes he does have people fill in but they're all just as good as he is. My co defendant got 3 years (public defender), I ended up getting 6 month house arrest, and 18 months out patient. I've been sober ever since coming up on my 3 year chip and Lloyd played a big part in my sobriety. He kept me out of jail and was always great. He is busy but that's because he has a lot of clients. He always told me "you do your job and stay sober and I'll do mine and keep you out of jail"... It was always a for sure thing I was going to go into custody, and by the grace of God I hired Lloyd and was given a second chance. I would recommend him. This review is long overdue. In part, because life gets busy, but mainly because I have so many good things to say that it is nearly impossible to voice them in a yelp review. I found Mr. Freeberg when I was in the middle of a horrible downward spiral. I'll spare most of the details. I was 25 and addicted to meth, alcohol, pot, any and everything else you can imagine that allowed me to numb out and not face my life as it were at that time. We all go through ups and downs. Some of us learn effective coping skills and the rest of us start using and drinking before we are even through puberty... You can guess which group I found myself in. Needless to say, there I was, a mess, financially, emotionally, mentally, physically... I had been arrested for the third time since I was 14 years old and I was angry and mean and defiant - at first. When I first met with Lloyd I was in custody. I poured my heart out to him and explained that my problems in my life were all because of my mom. And I truly believed that at the time. He took my case and urged me to get into residential treatment. I laughed on the inside and thought to myself 'yea ok, I'll do whatever you want so the court will leave me alone'. And so I did. I moved from the drug house I was living in right into a residential program. I continued to fight for a while, but after a couple of months I started to enjoy the way things were changing in my life. I started working again which felt amazing and although some of the issues I had to face were uncomfortable, I was surrounded by loving people in the program and 12 step community to help me through them. Lloyd was always there cheering for me and urging me to go to school and better myself in all ways and areas. That was an amazing feeling. He told me to follow direction - his direction and the programs direction. I did. I know now that it was because I was WILLING to follow his direction and the direction of the program that I was able to GROW and become the woman I am today. I went to court every 3-4 weeks with Lloyd for about 11 months. I showed up on time, sometimes had to wait in court all day, but that was ok - I was in acceptance - I was in court because of my actions - not my moms or any one else's. I didn't complain. complaining wouldn't change a thing. My attitude was the only thing I could control and so I chose a good one. When all was said and done, 11 months after it all began, Mr. Freeberg was able to get all of my charges COMPLETELY DISMISSED. I didn't plead guilty to anything. When I celebrated my first year of sobriety Lloyd Freeberg was there celebrating with me watching me receive my one year AA chip!!!! Ive continued working a 12 step program and working with other addicts and alcoholics daily and I am so grateful and so proud of my life today. I can't praise this man enough. This small little story hardly does my experience with him justice but I believe it gets the point across. I will always recommend him to any one I know who finds themselves facing criminal charges. read more
