The Pharmacy has two levels, disabled access is good as it has escalators but also a lift. I have always found that the tills are always manned, meaning, minimum waiting time in the queue. The chemist staff is always very knowledgeable and will advise on what medicine to take if you are unsure as to what you may need. The location of this Boots is great as it is right in the Town centre, situated opposite Crawley Train and main Bus Stations. The staff is friendly and as I mentioned before, there are loads of products which includes perfumes, aftershaves, etc. Another good point is that there are staff available on site to give you advise on perfumes, make up, etc.

Perhaps he meant ... £7.90? The cheapest you'd ever pay for even the tiniest bottle of headache medication in Canada is about $5. Anyway, by the end of the transaction, the pharmacist probably thought I was an idiot and I left to cure my headache feeling like a bank robber. In summary, Day Lewis has the usual Pharmacy stuff in smaller supply than some larger chains, and also has the (apparently usual) ridiculously low prices.

The shop itself is pretty ordinary and…read morelooks like any typical small chemist (it's a part of the mypharmacy chain of independent chemists), but what struck me when I went in there was how helpful and caring all the staff were. The lady behind the till was very helpful and attentive, and even the pharmacist took it upon himself to make a phone call to check if he could get a discount for me. As a result, I paid only £4 for the tube of cream I needed instead of £8. I was expecting to pay £8, so this was a nice surprise, and much appreciated. I will definitely go back there next time. It's on the ground floor and wheelchair accessible, but its position on Western Road means it's expensive to park anywhere near the pharmacy, unless you have a blue badge of course.

Although pricier than, say, Superdrug (and certainly supermarkets), I found the prices for over the counter items pretty good - and cheaper than Ashton's across the roundabout, although their stock is less extensive, especially for things like herbal remedies. But well worth considering in the area. (Actually, it's nice to have the choice).

It's quite a charming little place, with jumbled shelves stacked high with boxes and jars, of both medical goods and more general health and beauty items. Like many small independent stores, they seem to be able to pack a hell of a lot into a small space, so it's certainly worth giving this place a go before trudging down the hill to Boots. Another plus is the friendly and helpful staff.

If you want Lemon Verbena bubble bath or Clarins moisturiser, you'll have to go to Boots flagship store opposite the clock tower. The pharmacist in this branch is friendly and usually has most prescriptions in stock. The thing that's slightly annoying is the constant presence of security guards that watch everyone entering, leaving and browsing around the store. I appreciate they must get a lot of shoplifters and have a job to do - but no girls want to be watched whilst they're buying Lil-lets!
