I moved to champaign and needed a psychiatrist in the area who could continue prescribing my Methylphenidate. I was on 10mg 3x per day. I asked Dr Lo if there was a long acting form of the same drug so I would not accidentally forget to bring my pill bottle with me everywhere. He prescribed me a 30mg Vyvanse and 100mg Fluvoxamine. I would take the Vyvanse at around 8am and it would keep me awake until 3am. At around 11pm I would take the Fluvoxamine and i would wake up at 6am. I was miserable with no sleep. Dr Lo told me if I had an adverse reaction to the medication I could discontinue it and call him. I scheduled an appointment with him and told him the medication was adversely affecting me so I discontinued it. I was under the impression he thought I was being noncompliant with his treatment. He was extremely rude and I never went back to him. All he cares about is making money. I looked him up on https://projects.propublica.org/docdollars/doctors/pid/290471 and found out he was paid about $1000 dollars from various prescription companies to endorse their drugs. He is also the student psychiatrist at EIU. I've heard through the grape vine that his parents own 250,000 acres of land and are ultra wealthy. He is disconnected with what it's like to be a normal citizen and is incompetent of accurately diagnosing problems in my opinion. read more
