Do not fill out the application form, there is no way to prevent them from checking and damaging your credit score. They will give your details to scammers. Extremely sketchy. Do not trust them with your personal information. Do not fill out their form. I made the mistake of completing it just looking for more information and started getting unsolicited phone calls. I requested that my personal information be deleted and the operator (Kevin) refused. Fortunately, I know a little bit about privacy law in Canada, got through to a supervisor. Explained their requirements under PIPEDA and that refusal to delete personal information on request is in violation of it. A complaint to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (which is free and anyone can do) could expose them to a massive fine. After that, and only after that, did they agree to delete my personal information. Deal with them at your own risk. read more

Steve from Loans Canada called my 83 year old mother and told her all of my personal business. Then he told her that since she was a reference, that her credit rating would be ruined if I didn't pay. Then he talked to my brother, told him everything about the situation and told my brother that if he paid it for me, then Loans Canada would knock $500 off what was owed. Bullying tactics, trying to embarrass, harassing an old woman! These people are horrific. Probably kick small dogs in their spare time. Blatant, illegal tactics. Put in a complaint to pertinent consumers affairs and talked to a lawyer. Nobody deserves to be treated like that. read more

What a big waste of my time. The people that work here are unprofessional and seriously lack good communication skills. They don't answer their phone calls even after telling you to call them, nor do they return messages left on their voicemail. They also force you to add some girl on Facebook as a term of your loan contract. What does Facebook have to do with loans? What if you don't have Facebook, you don't qualify? RIDICULOUS POLICY. When they DO decide to let you know what's happening with your application, the information is very vague and misleading. I'm almost sure this is a scam and am a bit worried now that they have my personal and financial information. Overall I Would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend this loan company to anyone. Find a reputable loaner. read more
