    Chocolate brownie sundae

During one of our neighborhood walks after dinner, we've been passing by this place and decided to give this place a try and the owner/employees are so friendly and nice! There seems to be a lot of regulars. They have a large variety of ice cream flavors, sundaes and even boba! The ambiance is really cute and like a throwback to the old-timey ice cream parlors. Ice cream was SUPER good. They microwaved and warmed up the brownie before placing the ice cream on top and warmed caramel drizzle as well! Will definitely be going back for some more. This place is a hidden gem!

Loard's is a retro, throwback ice cream shop. The chairs are straight out of Mary Poppins. The sundaes never disappoint! They give you generous servings with generous toppings. You order at the counter and they bring your plates to your table. It's a fun throwback! You can buy candy as well as boba there now too. It's a great place to stop in. You can also purchase packaged ice cream to go!

Yum!!! The Livermore Loard's location has been around for a while now and we love visiting when we're in a "sundae mood". The ice cream parlor is decorated cute and feels like you're transported into an old school dinner. The service is always awesome, and the ladies who run the shop are always kind. They have a lot of different ice cream flavors, toppings, and sundae options for you to choose from. Most recently my husband got the brownie sundae and I got the banana sundae. Both were fantastic! Highly recommend visiting!

The best ice cream. We usually get a black & white and my wife gets a black & tan .Friendly staff. Old town feel. It takes you back in time to when Livermore was as a small town. It's been around since 1950. One of the original locations. Love this establishment so much I even picked up a cool Lourde's ice cream shirt. I went to the original shop in Oakland as a kid. This place is special. Hi

What I remember most about this place is the cute, pink diner-like restaurant setting. I was visiting a friend in Livermore and she recommended that we come here for dessert. The food and service was alright. I would be down to come here again though for some ice cream on a warm day if I'm in the area !

This was our first time trying this spot out. We went with Sundays, which come in a long spoon and glass container topped with whipped cream and a cherry. You can build your own or get something that is already on the menu. I would suggest if you like ice cream to give it a try.

Classic vibe with pink and white booths. Many ice cream flavors options, also offers sundae, root beer float, chocolates, candies, drink and more. I tried green tea flavor ice cream but it's not very green tea, the waffle cone tastes good. Although there's no tasting and sitting time limit is 30 min, I would still support a local ice cream shop over a ice cream chain.

Loards is a Bay Area Classic! I love the vintage vibe of the place. Great ice cream & candy. Service is great, very friendly staff.

I was craving ice cream and opted for the chocolate ice cream. This was gooooood. The place does not have bathrooms for customers though. The ice cream was creamy but sometimes I'd get hints of ice in there. It wasn't as smooth as I'd want but the flavor was really good! They had a lot of cool options but hard to know since you can't really see how they look like.

Honestly would had been a 5 star if there wasn't a sign that said "limit sitting to 30 minutes" Great ice cream to enjoy during a walk in Livermore's downtown. The inside area is very pleasant and comfortable ' The black Cherry ice cream was creamy and tasty. The chunks of black Cherry add extra flavor to it. In addition the pineapple and coconut ice-cream also has coconut and pineapple chunks that make the ice-cream very tasty. The cherry top is a must and the wip cream is tasty. The ladies were so kind and patient while people decided what to order. 4/5

Kinda crazy not to offer samples when the ice cream is 8-10. Can't comment on the quality or flavor because I didn't get to try it.

Optimistically, I'd like to think it was more due to the latter, but regardless of the reason, we knew immediately we needed a cold sweet treat to cool ourselves off. Or, more specifically, a short walk across the parking lot to get some Somisomi! Much like all of their other locations that I've been to, this Somisomi is pretty minimal in nearly every way - from their design and decor to their menu. However, the latter, in particular, works for them, keeping things simple and helping them get orders out quickly. Plus, it's not like their menu is short on options - from their ahboong and upside ahboong, to their soft serve and taiyaki, to their milk drinks, cold brew, and cold brew float, they have a great selection to choose from. Not to mention how their variety of flavors of soft serve, taiyaki, and toppings allows for a dozens of ways for you to customize your order! While I already had an idea of what I wanted to get before we stepped inside, it didn't take me long to decide on their flavor once I saw their featured flavor. For my UPSIDE DOWN AHBOONG ($7.95), I opted to get their Cookies 'n Cream & Milk Tea Swirl with a Red Bean Taiyaki and Crushed Biscoff Crumbles. Sadly, this wasn't quite as awesome as I had hoped for, but this was still pretty good. Mostly, the taste of the milk tea in the swirl was hard to notice, but I did think the cookies 'n cream side of it was great. As before, though, the highlight of me was the taiyaki (with the swirl in it), as the red bean filling was delicious and I loved the batter - slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Despite how there was a small crowd ahead of when we got in line, it seemed like it only took a few minutes before all of our orders were ready. What's more, the workers here were all super friendly, which is impressive given how they're just constantly churning out orders one after another for hours on end. Considering how I'm so late to the Somisomi party, I'm sure there may still be some novelty to coming here for me, but it doesn't change the fact that I still thoroughly enjoyed my order. What's more, I don't know what the other dessert options are around Pleasanton, but I imagine there aren't many others that are also open so relatively late (open until 10:30pm on Fridays and weekends). If nothing else, this is a great place to head to for some sweet cool relief from the heat! Or the Chubby Cattle meat sweats...

Even when we were first handed the cup, it was already melting. That's the only thing I wished was different. This was my first time here so I could only speak from this one experience. It was a very hot Saturday and we decided to cool off with some ice cream from Loard's. I have always been a fan since my childhood, butter brickle and peppermint ice cream are my go-to. I had never visited this location before. Walking in, the ambiance wasn't giving me the warm fuzzies like the other well-lit Loard's locations did. It's pretty dim with only one window emitting any light from outside. It still has it's pink and white interior, but it doesn't scream "ice cream shop." One thing that stood out to me was the menu. It appeared they might've updated several of their prices with the edits marked all over it. It just looks tacky, but I understand that making a new sign can be costly. Hopefully in the near future this could be given a nice facelift. We ordered a scoop of ube, a scoop of toasted almond, and a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Unfortunately you couldn't eat indoors so we stood outside the shop and hurried to eat the ice cream before it melted. Would I come back here again? Maybe, but I prefer the Castro Valley location more as it just gives more of the feels of an actual ice cream shop and it's got a pleasant vibe to it.
