    Lobster with fried garlic

+.5 for service If you're a broke family who wants lobster but doesn't wanna spend money on places nearby like Fishman Lobster, Fishmen Wharf Seafood, etc...this place is for you. No gimmicks, no decorations, straight up lobster and seafood for affordable prices. As you enter this place, you'll be greeted with aquariums of lobster sitting and about to be eaten by the likes of you. It's a little freaky, but hey, it's reality. Where else would they get lobster from? I came with my dad's company, which had a company dinner that consisted of 12 people. We had an 8lb garlic lobster, raw oysters, king crab, steamed fish, chicken, and boiled vegetables. The lobster, oysters, and crab were all very good. Granted it's not top tier quality, but for the price we paid (~$400) it was definitely of excellent value. The oysters were surprisingly juicy even though the presentation looked like it lacked meat. The steamed fish, chicken, and boiled vegetables, on the other hand, lacked the quality set by the shellfish meals, and were largely forgettable. Meal came with starter soup and dessert, both of which were average taste and also forgettable. Service was good for Asian standards. The restaurant is small enough that you get good treatment. I don't think I'll personally return here unless I'm with a big group, since the meals are targetted towards large parties.

I had the hongkong style lobster combo. It came with seafood soup, steamed bokchoy, grilled bass, and lobster mountain. I went with a group of four. We paid extra $10 to get king crab chilli instead of bass. The lobster mountain was delicious. The lobster was very meaty, spicy and tasty. I was not a fan of the soup, it tasted very fishy and I wish they gave us miso soup instead. I am not generally a fan of crabs so I didn't like that as much. In total the price was $238 and for the experience and really good lobster, I say it is a must try once in your lifetime.

Nothing spectacular. Never disappoints. Lobster is good for many occasions, any occasion! My family and I frequent Lobster King Seafood Restaurant for special celebrations - birthdays, graduations, going away parties, and festivals. We are not selfish with shellfish! There is an awesome value menu for 4 for (approximately) $79 (if memory serves me correctly). It includes garlic lobster, free range chicken, oyster mushroom with pea sprouts or bok choi, onion ginger dungeon crab, clam with wine and bay leaf, soup of the day and dessert. Add $5 for amazing spicy salted lobster with tiny fried fishes! You also have the option for adding steamed fish for $3.99. From time to time, we add the lobster roe fried rice for $10.99. I would recommend asking the chef to reduce the amount of oil used when cooking the vegetable. It tends to get a bit overbearing, in a delicious but fattening way. We have also tried the King Crab 4-ways menu for 4 for $188. It was delicious in a wallet-hurting type of way. Our wallet shred a tear after the dinner. Great option for high rollers. I appreciate how Lobster King pressure their customer less than other seafood establishments in the neighborhood. As well as their frequent plate changing as we filled our plates with shells of crustacean.

small restaurant that serves fisherman's type of menu. Would say the flavour is definitely there. Like any other similar restaurant they will never have the size lobster or king crab on the menu, it's always an up sale. Minimum 6-8 pounds. I tried the king crab combo, have to say it is less pricey than fisherman's and more flavourful. Only complaint is that the place is very tiny and good for small size parties. The dining area also looked kind of dirty but nonetheless, food was good. Loved the deep fried king crab the most out of the 3 styles of cooking it. Felt the other 2 steam options were a bit bland. Came here a second time and tried the lobster and crab combo, lobster was huge and full of flavour - we chose the Maggie style.

My family came here because Fisherman's Lobster House was completely booked for Chinese New Year. We had the lobster with fried garlic, steamed fish, king crab, fried oysters, rice noodles with beef and a fried rice with lobster "goh" (lobster... insides). My favourite thing was definitely the fried garlic with the lobster, it was so good I could eat it with rice for days. I'm usually not a fan of eating seafood with shells in public cause it's so messy but they provide these little plastic gloves so you don't have to get your hands dirty. The lobster was HUGE and my cousin and I did the math, the lobster we had was 26 years old! (That's older than me) The rest of the seafood was good but not memorable. I would not recommend the rice noodles or the fried rice though - they seem to have made it in a hurry and it didn't have much taste (which I guess was good to balance out the heavy garlic but I would not recommend it on it's own).

This is half of the combo for two which offered me and my wife a sanctuary of great service and superb friendliness from the staff. Fish soup was a great start to the late night meal. Lobster in the pic was spiced up and lobster itself was very plentiful satisfying balls of seafood flavor and texture. Thank you !!

This place is REALLY REALLY over priced. I can't believe how expensive lobster in Toronto can be. First of all, the decor was again, pretty average. The only complaint that I have goes with all Asian places. The washrooms are filthy. Do Not Touch Anything in there. The service was pretty good. Considering we are paying a premium for the food, good service is to be expected. The change our plates once a dish, and constantly comes by to make sure that we are enjoying the meal. The food, on the other hand, isn't very good. I mean there is only so many ways that you can eat seafood. Most of the live seafood was fresh, but some of the smaller fish, and cut fish wasn't that good. If you are interested in getting great seafood, make sure that they are getting the animal from the tank. If not, it doesn't taste that fresh. The first taste of all the food is very good. Unfortunately, it starts deteriorating from there. After the 4th bite, you start to feel sick from eating so much lobster. By the end of the night, you just want to go home and puke it all out. Again, maybe i'm not a seafood person, but if you like seafood only in moderation, this place isn't for you.

    Got rubbed

Been here a couple of times, service was slow but food was not bad. Today it got much worse and I feel like we were robbed. First the short and chubby lady forgot our order and we had to remind her, came 10 min later again with a Geoduck and said that they didnt have any 2.5lbs ones and that one is bigger, so naturally we were were saying ok because why would you mind; but at the end the bill came with extra 30 dollars, nothing was mentioned before the bill about this. A man looking like the manager stood there for a little and walked away soon, obviously didnt want to get involved. At the end the lady said 'I dont care if you come in the future anyways' Very good customer service.

    King crab and lobster!

Decent place, it's expensive but the quality of the food is quite good. Came here for a family dinner, we ordered a variety of seafood dishes: King Crab (they steamed it, and served it on 3 different plates, because it was too large to serve it on one) From the crab legs to the shell, it was simply steamed with a bit of vegetable seasoning on it. I liked it because it brings out the flavour of the crab. Lobster (8lbs) this was a monster of a lobster, we had a table of 10 and we couldn't finish all of it. It was made with garlic, very delicious, probably the highlight of the night Then there were steamed fish (again, made very well), chicken, clams, and some boiled vegetables. Service was great as well, they would also change our plates when we had filled them from all the shells of the crab and lobster.

Its 35 degrees today and feels like 39. And this restaurant doesnt have AC?!? We ordered a set dinner and the deep fried garlic lobster that comes wih the fried little fishies, was SO HARD that it hurt my teeth. Meaning they are refrying and reusing their food. The place itself is very crowded and not much room to even walk to the washroom. Stick with Fishermans House. Dont bother coming here

Reasonable price with good lobster. The combo meal was decent but either hit or miss. Service was quick and friendly.

The posters outside caught my eye, and I decided to come back with a group of three friends to try it out. We came a bit late around 8 PM, and most of the fish were already sold out except the original. We ended up ordering the Signature Spicy Grilled BBQ Fish ($40), a whole fish served bubbling hot with three toppings (potatoes, spam, and lotus root). You can choose between catfish and turbot, we chose the turbot fish. It looked extremely spicy, but the spice level was actually perfect. It was a bit on the oily side, but pairing it with rice balanced it out nicely. The fish was very tender and buttery, everything tasted amazing! We also ordered the Stir-Fried Egg with Tomato. The eggs were soft, the tomato sauce was rich. Not to mention the portion size was huge, we even had leftovers after eating until we were full. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean, and had plenty of seating. I think they were doing some sort of promotion so they gave us a $25 off coupon, though it expired pretty quickly so we didn't get to use it. I'd definitely come back for that grilled fish.

A few of their dishes come out on a sizzling plate with flames underneath. They are still in soft-opening mode with several specials. You can see the menus via a QR code. The Hunan cuisine is listed as "Hunan Noodles" and the Szechuan cuisine is listed as "Chopfire Menu". The Szechuan dishes are listed with 1 to 3 chilies representing the spiciness. If you can't handle spicy, then avoid eating the chili pieces and you might "survive". The restaurant decided to minimize their food offerings so that they can focus on refining their dishes in terms of quality and taste, including from customer feedback. We ordered the following: 1. Signature Spicy Grilled BBQ Fish ($39.95). 2. Home Stir Fried Beef ($21.95). 3. Bullfrog with Baby Ginger ($19.95). 4. Stir-Fried Cauliflower with Preserved Pork ($15.95). 5. Drunk Oolong (charcoal roasted oolong tea base) x 2 ($5.95 x 2). 6. Lemon Taro Balls ($7.95). We also saw the following: 7. Stir-Fried Sliced Pork with Green Pepper Noodle Soup ($9.99). First 10 customers each day, only pays $1.00. 8. Ink Painting Cocktail ($5.95). The Signature Spicy Grilled BBQ Fish came out on a huge sizzling platter. The BBQ Fish, a Turbot Fish, was very fresh and flaky, easily coming off the bone. There is no head attached like at typical Chinese restaurants but it would not have fit in the platter. The platter had a delicious sauce (soupy consistency and not sweet), luncheon meat slices, lotus root slices, and two other vegetables, along with chili pieces. The entire dish tasted great together with the various flavours. The menu listed it as 2-chili spicy but I could handle it by avoiding the chili pieces. The Home Stir Fried Beef is tender. It is listed as 3-chili but I could handle it by avoiding the chili pieces. The Bullfrog with Baby Ginger has the bullfrog cut up in little pieces; no you don't see a whole frog! The meat was actually good but most pieces have bones in it, so it takes time to eat it carefully. There was ginger slices in it but it, but we thought the slices were quite large! The Stir-Fried Cauliflower with Preserved Pork was very delicious! It came in a sizzling plate. The Cauliflower was flavourful and was not crunchy and not too soft. I've never had preserved pork slices before; it was quite good, not as salty as Chinese preserved vegetables. The Drunk Oolong has comes in a small bowl a with gin and ice. On the side, they include pieces of the charcoal roasted oolong tea leaves so you can smell it; quite a good smell indeed. You can also order it without the gin, which is what I ordered for mine (since I don't drink alcohol). It was such a nice drink! The Lemon Taro Balls dessert was pretty. In the centre was a slice of lemon. The customer service was good. There is plenty of indoor table and counter seating, including a small private room at the back. There is also an outdoor patio during warmer weather. There is pop music playing in the background. There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There are two gender-neutral washrooms downstairs, so they are not wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-026

From the moment we walked in, the space already set the tone.. dark, dramatic, elegant, and beautifully designed without feeling overly stiff. It has that upscale energy that makes dinner feel like an occasion before you've even ordered anything. Food-wise, there was a lot to love. The signature apple wood roasted Peking duck was definitely a highlight, especially with the tableside carving, which made the whole experience feel even more polished and memorable. The skin had that beautiful lacquered finish, and the duck was rich, flavorful, and very satisfying. We also ordered a few larger dishes for the table, and I really appreciated how everything still felt refined without losing that comforting, indulgent side of Chinese dining. Some dishes leaned rich and luxurious, others were lighter and more aromatic, so the meal never felt repetitive. Service was another standout. Attentive without hovering, smooth without being too formal.. exactly the kind of service you hope for in a restaurant like this. Overall, Mott 32 is absolutely the kind of place I'd come back to for a special dinner, celebration, or just one of those nights when you want the meal to feel a little more elevated than usual.

Also, when we call to check if dim sum is being served, it makes sense to inform us of the dining room closure instead of having us come in anyway. We settled for eating in the lounge which ended up being good because bartender, Aiki?, was excellent as our server. Really great. Ordered the following: King prawn Har gow: standard. Not worth the premium Mott charges. Miso black cod dumpling: not good. Wouldn't order again Shredded Peking Duck Spring Roll, Sliced Vegetable : Excellent. We loved this! Nice and crunchy. Delicious duck inside. Good vinegar dipping sauce. Good volume Hot & Sour Iberico Pork Shanghainese Soup Dumplings: Fantastic and unique. The dumplings don't really need dipping sauce since inside there is a hot and sour soup along with pork. These are unique and delicious. Fried Wagyu beef taro croquette : pretty good but really tasted like a Jamaican patty Cold noodle with shredded duck : very generous with meat. Honestly a lot more than any other restaurant that serves this. To be fair no one charges this much either so it should. Flavour could be stronger but certainly decent. Fresh Mango, Coconut, Glutinous Rice Roll: nice fresh dessert. Our favourite. Frozen xiao long bao with chocolate and nut: Tastes like a mochi. Not bad. Dragonball Zen - fun name. Delicious drink. Jasmine Dragon Ball Infused Tanqueray Gin / Peach Liquor Lime / Rose Water / Mint / Seltzer Over $200 for this meal before tip. It's premium an debatable if with it. Will be back but just occasionally.
