    Carson! Great on service!

What a great experience and Carson service was outstanding. We went for happy hour and stayed (thanks to Carson's recommendation). He suggested the delicious wood fired pizza. We got the "suped up " 16 inch which was great for four to share. The ambiance has a local friendly vibe and Carson really added to that. ASK for him as your server and tell him Irish sent you.

We have been to local pie a few times. One time for pizza and another time just for snacks. They definitely have a happy hour so hit that up from 4-6! The pizza is nice and crispy. The wings were delicious as well. Deez knots and the Mac n cheese were both phenomenal. We left nothing in the plate! The service was quick and efficient! We sat inside and the vibe was casual and comfortable. We would definitely go back!

Extremely disappointed. Pizza was cold, undercooked and without flavor. Embarrassing for how expensive they charge for a pizza. I think you will be better off purchasing a frozen pizza as you will have a more enjoyable eating experience than this pizza. Not sure why they put micro greens on a Margherita pizza, did they run out of basil? I'm more convinced this pizza was steamed instead of wood fired.

June 28,2024 Friday night Just moved to the area and after trying every pizza in the area we found a winner. My new hair dresser nearby told me about this place. So a Friday night in Downtown Bluffton and we got a great table outside even live music! Spoiler alert I dove into eating and missed taking pictures of the main event the pizza! Started with a Coca Cola and hubby had a beer. Next an order of fried green tomatoes, tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and lastly a large pizza with meatballs subbed the tomatoes on the pie for onions. Well needless to say we ordered too much and took half home which we gladly ate the next day. The food is fresh and delicious. The service was ridiculously great! Best of all the owners come from NJ like me! No wonder why the food is out of this world. Definitely will be back.

Pretty pretty good. Not bad for Bluffton tbh. Most places are closed on Sunday so we looked for options open and this popped up. We frequent many of the restaurants in downtown Bluffton but somehow missed this (maybe because pizza isn't a strength here in SC). HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised with my Baller pizza. I even added mushrooms because they were fresh and not canned. The crust was pretty good and didn't taste like cardboard or frozen pizza crust like some other places down here. Three people in our party ordered calzones....one had the dreaded cold center mentioned by other reviewers. Maybe stick with the pizza. Service was great - they just need to kick up the a/c a bit. It's just as hot as sitting outside but louder. I'd give pizza and service a 4 but ambience a 3.

I've been to Local Pie quite a few times over the years and it's high time I give them a proper review! I've always thought it was a nice place to grab pizza & a beer, since we moved back to the low country this year, Kat & I have made this our after church spot on more than a couple of Sundays. The staff is very friendly and most days the ticket times aren't too bad at all. We usually get a pint and a 10 inch pie each, which with tip runs us about $50. Sundays there's usually a musician playing, but not in a loud annoying way. If you're local to Bluffton or just passing through, I'd recommend Local Pie to anyone looking for a unique pizza experience! 5/5 will keep coming back.

The best pizza since I've moved here, seriously it's good. It's a little dark inside. Should be cleaner, service was ok, had to wait for the hostess and the waitress was really busy. I'll be back though.

The bread they use is similar to an airy pizza crust, and topped with their three blends of cheese that are melted onto the bread before the meats and toppings are added. I've had almost the entire menu over the years, but my favorite is the simple sliced turkey, with lettuce, tomato (which I opt out of sometimes just because I'm not a huge tomato on a sandwich guy, unless it's an actual tomato sandwich...), onion, and then I ask to add their garlic mayo and banana peppers, and sometimes jalapeños. Their turkey club is a second favorite if I'm craving bacon on my sandwich (they also have a jalapeño bacon!). Their other deli sandwiches are great, like the original with a mix of luncheon and other deli meats. I love their lesser known meatball sandwich and cheeseburger. My wife's favorite is the pastrami. The staff at Alvin Ord's are some of the nicest folks I've met in the restaurant industry, and they're always super helpful to new and old customers alike. The vibe of the shop is like a little beachside surf shop, super casual and comfy, with indoor seating at mismatched tables, along with two screened in porches--one that's dog friendly. I can't recommend this place enough. I'd eat here every other day if I could--and that's only because I usually turn my regular sized sandwich into two days of lunch.

They use a cheese blend round bun. It really isn't a turkey club. It's more of a turkey sandwich with the fixings of a club. What I did not like at all was the bread. It totally killed the sandwich for me. It left a bad after taste. I can't really explain it. It just wasn't good. The turkey was ok. For the price of the sandwich though, I would have expected more turkey on it. There is a much better option across the street. Try Downtown Deli. It is superior to this establishment. Again, just my opinion. Try it for your self.

Their fries were really really good. The iced tea was fresh brewed and had good flavor. My other girlfriend got a salad and was thrilled with how good the flavor was. The water wasn't bad but I still opted for iced tea. The weather was so nice we were able to eat outside. They do have an outside and inside areas. And the bakery goods looked so good but we were too full to try anything. Our waitress was really good making sure that we got what we needed and that we had refills before we even asked. My wife ordered the macho salad and I ordered the shrimp & grits. Immediately after placing our order, my plate shows up. Wow, that was fast. Meanwhile we wait while they then deliver my salad. Seems a bit out of order but ok. Then we wait. And get a Caesar salad. And advise - not ours. While waiting we hear the server next to us announce the specials - which our server did NOT inform us of as we arrived. My wife would have ordered different. Finally her salad arrives and we eat. My shrimp and grits were sparse on shrimp and were made with mushrooms and reminded me of ingredients found in an omelet. Not a typical flavor. I finished most but not all of it. Just a bit weird. And that 1/2 a biscuits? A lump of flavorless starch. Our server was nice but seems she wasn't as seasoned as other servers nearby. She should inform everyone of the specials. Ask your server if there are specials. Our cocktails were the best part of our meal. And the prices? That bowl of shrimp and grits, along with my simple side salad were a whopping $23. My wife's salad was comparably priced. The dogs split their bowl, which was $10 just a bit much but they did bring us a bowl of water. All-in-all average food, a bit cramped for seating, over priced and a server that needed to up her game.

I made reservations for Farm Bluffton with an outside table last year. who knew it was hot in July?…read moreMy sister in laws face was melting at the outside table so I had to adjust fire. 2026, I made a reservation inside with our own private table. The restaurant is very charming, it's giving off White Barn Inn Kennebunkport vibes. Once you're seated, you'll see why this is a popular Low Country restaurant. We're all given menus and what I noticed was a game changer. Farm is offering a three course tasting menu but the entire table has to participate. My wife was feeling under the weather so I grabbed the waiter to the side and said, we're all in with the tasting menu except my wife. Can you make an exception? Not a problem sir! The three course menu does not include the popular Farm corn bread. I placed an order before our tasting started. You're probably saying, what's so special about corn bread? Man... If lovin' you is wrong, I don't wanna be right. The corn bread was cooked in a skillet pan, the end result was a buttery, sweet treat. The sharable starters came to the table. Roasted May River Oysters, Beef Carpaccio and Burrata with shaved ham. The Roasted May River Oysters were my favorite bite of all these selections. The oysters were large and plumpy and the chef did not overcook the shell fish. Next, the waiter dropped off a huge bowl of Shrimp Rice along with a Heritage Pork Chop. This is what elevated southern cooking is all about, the pork chop was moist and had a wonderful taste. Another highly recommended dish. Dessert, I was starting to get really full but the Blueberry Olive Oil cake did not disappoint. There was a Toll House Hand Made Pie, also very good but I really full at this point of the meal. First time dining at Farm, it was a pleasure to dine here and I can't wait to return.

Before leaving town, we decided to have dinner, and that is where Farm comes in. We decided to go with the recommendation of the staff up front and the waiter, choosing the Anthology menu for dinner. That selection was impossible to be disappointed with. The food is sourced locally, the taste is exceptional, and the service (shout-out to Justin) is outstanding. We just planned a return visit to Bluffton for May. This is what a low-country dining experience should be.
