Came back after a year or so away and glad we did . A few of us came and everyone left happy . My wife and I shared a lemony Caesar which we liked - could have used some shaved cheese for a bit of zip-zing! But none there was . That's okay - the Your Sister pizza had good cheesy quality -we added some veggies and asked for it crispy and it came out perfect . We went there for the first time and got Vincent as our server. This guy is super awesome and made our stay awesome. He made sure our kids had some toys to play while we were talking and came like 10 times to make sure we didn't need anything even though he had many tables inside. Food is a really bad joke at best. The smashed meatball was the tasting bland out of a bag meatball I have ever had, not to mention 1 was barely Lukewarm. Not worth 3 dollars at best. The person said seat yourself, took more than 30 minutes for the person to come take our order. By the way we grab a menu from the bar area to see what they had. The place could be so much better. Visiting friends in the area and coming home from Siesta Beach we stopped by for pizza. We got there about 5:30 on Friday evening and beat the crowd! A well deserved crowd! This place has delicious stone grilled pizza with fresh toppings. The pizza's 14 inches of pure heaven! They offer pasta, salads, appetizers and deserts. The pizza is great and all, but what I love about this place is the staff. Everyone that works here, from cashiers to waitstaff to bartenders, are so uniformly pleasant and helpful over the years we've been coming here that it makes me want to come back time and again. On those few occasions where there was an issue with an order, they bend over backwards to correct it and make sure you're taken care of. Awesome place, awesome pizza, awesome people. read more

Great little place in Osprey next to Mad Moe's. Great if you love adventurous pizza toppings and thinner crust pizzas. Highly recommend the meatballs. Had to make up for the bad pizza from last week. Glad we stopped by, very friendly staff enjoying themselves. A small menu which I tend to like not so many choices, but enough to make you come back. On this first trip ( yes we will be back) we had one of their specialty pizzas. Meatball, fresh mozzarella, garlic and basil. The garlic was not that noticeable but the meatball flavor was great. I frequent Local Pizza because I'm a local and I want a local pizza joint to succeed and stick around. But... damn... they are tough to love... The pizza is good, however, I would argue that they are a little too proud of it; $18-20 for medium-size pie. Get the "Meat Me At the Corner" (think: Meat Lover's); it's a tasty pie with a bacon jam that makes it outstanding. Margherita is also a solid choice. I've seen other comments/reviews regarding consistency and would argue that does not apply to pizza. For other menu items, you are rolling the dice. They may or may not have it available, it may or may not be good. *There are arguments among our household and local friends that the pizza is too greasy; I don't personally mind it. To say it plainly - dine in service is a shit show. And if they put you on hold when you call to order take out, just forget it--they aren't returning to the call. Hang up and call again. It seems like an organizational, top-down opportunity; poorly run and lacking leadership/direction/training. I don't blame the staff because they never seem to be set up for success or have any idea who is doing what. I won't expand more - dine in and you'll know right away. This IS the pizza I dream about! I tried the white ricotta cheese with spinach and thinly sliced tomatoes and the Cuban pizza which was delicious and very different ! First, I want to say, we have loved this place in the past. Their cauliflower crust has been the best around. Lately, it has been going downhill fast. Food is meh. Wine and beer are not being served due to a mishap?? And it is INSANELY overpriced. $87 for two pizzas and pasta. Absolutely nuts. Last we were there, the place was completely empty except for us... Everyone I know claims to be a pizza EXPERT. People say....well I'm from New York and I know great pizza. IT IS SUBJECTIVE ! what you may like another person may think is horrible. I don't like a thin crust oily pizza you can't fold and put in your mouth. Local pizza is what I described . It taste good but JUST average.....not memorable. It's a nice place that is clean and spacious. It has large screen t.v. with sports. The bar is huge. The cashier/hostess needs to be more enthusiastic and alert. The food is excellent! Every thing is hand made. Menu is a little different, but we'll worth it. The roasted artichokes is top flavored! Some of the ingredients are not my favorite, but the chef put the dish in proper balance I all but licked the plate. Service was very, very good had attentive staff and pleasant interaction with all of the staff. Talked with one of the chefs and he was pleasant to converse with and gave some insights as to their vision of a great menu and it shows! Will recommend and return. Had the "Meatme on the Corner" pizza, along with the lemon kale caesar and the cauliflower appetizer. Everything was delicious. The place is super nice and you can see your food being made. Clean and the stuff is super fabulous, smart and on their hustle. The chefs in the back are fast and super professional. The FOOD is good flavor, cooked just right. Pizza, salads and the pasta is beyond great. The appetizers I had where the artichokes and the cauliflower and they where so flavorful and cooked just right. Great selection of wine and beer and mix drinks. My 5 year old loved the pizza and pasta. And last we had the tuxedo bombe for desert and it was dreamy just right. I've only been to Local Pizza 2 times and I have to say, I was shocked. The food was delicious! It felt fresh and practically melted in your mouth! I found myself feeling that the portions that were given were a bit too small for my liking. All in all the meals were outstanding! Though, I felt personally that the menu wasn't too varied and was left with not a lot of options, especially for someone who's picky. The staff however I have to say, did not meet my standards. A lot of staff hadn't been taking precautions for COVID-19, even the chefs! On top of this, the waiters/waitresses weren't exactly taking their job serious. I found a lot of them were talking to other customers or striking conversations with customers AND other staff. But they were still nice and got us our orders in the end.
