The Avocado Eggs Benedict (grilled avocado, poached eggs, pico de gallo and hollandaise with crispy potatoes) and the Local Burger (two grilled patties, melted american cheese, caramelized onions, tomato, shredded lettuce and secret house sauce) were good--the fries could have been a little more crispy/hot. Would also have loved a more extensive range of hot sauce offerings. For a sports-bar experience, the meal was a little pricey, but perhaps that's just Seattle. read more

Came here with my husband and kids while in town to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but we were sat in between two full tables, while the other half the room was completely empty -- felt very crowded and uncomfortable. There were at least 6-8 servers working, but the service was not good. We were never given water or utensils. The food was okay, but not worth the price. Cocktail was basic and also overpriced. Looks like this is a good spot for Amazonians to hang out for lunch or after work for happy hours. I like the ambiance, it is quite modern. The staff here are very nice and friendly. Although I didn't like one thing, I went in there for a team lunch a week ago and we were seated downstairs. After sitting there for about 10 minutes, I started to feel very cold and when I asked them about it, they said that they turn on the heater only for the second floor. They should have mentioned that before we got seated. Coming to the menu, the menu is quite long. They have a gluten-free and vegetarian menu as well. I am kind of a teetotaler but looked like they had quite a lot of options. I got the vegetarian roti and curry plus vegetarian fully loaded crispy potatoes. And for the drink, I got the spritzing image. Everything was decent, wasn't amazing. I wish they had better vegetarian options. On the bottom line, it's a decent place if you are in the area and you want to hang out. The food is just decent, nothing crazy. I have only been to the Local a couple times. The last time was around 11-12 on Thursday. It was surprisingly but pleasantly busy, as opposed to crazy busy. The service was prompt and friendly, and a big shout out to them for docking a plate that a friend didn't enjoy and allowing him to get something else, I think on the house but I'm not quite sure. The food was good. I had the bacon burger with sweet potato fries. I wouldn't send people here to try the burger but for late night grub in a loungy meets sports bar environment, it was serviceable. The sweet potato fries and the aioli were great! My friend was supplemented for the pot stickers, which he thought were "awful" for the wings, which he loved. They were delectably crispy, although after being spoiled with Victor Tavern's enormous wings, I found them a little small, but again, my friend loved them. The drinks were good, but just to get a little picky, the espresso martini could've came in a martini glass rather than something you might serve an old fashioned in. But yea, all in all a good time, with great service. I can see coming here for a game or to wrap up an evening with some conversation and food. read more

I got the fried chicken ramen which was a was a flavorful spin on the norm and I enjoyed. Also got a boba cocktail was good, though light on the alcohol. Having the popping boba at the top looked nice, but made it difficult to actually get any since by the time they got to the bottom, there wasn't any liquid left to help slurp them up - wish they'd put them at the bottom and had less ice. The wings were lackluster, was expecting them to be a bit more jazzed up beyond standard bar grub. Friend got the deluxe burger (I think) and added an egg, so it's nice to see they do additions. They have an upstairs that looks like it would be a convenient spot for a larger bday dinner or the likes. Overall a trendy spot, but not ideal for a causal dinner. read more

I always ask for this place when we have a work lunch because its got a little bit of something for everyone and its an easy place for me to get gluten free options (even if their fries arent, something they should consider changing). I wish they had a little more open airflow options or outdoor seating. But thats a trap of the entire neighborhood so I cant be too harsh about that in particular. I've been coming here for lunch over the last year or so. The food has always been good and they have a nice variety of options from burgers to salads as well as appetizers. COVID We walked around to find a place to have dinner that can accommodate a minor and we got to this place. (PS Re:public didn't allow minors. ) The internet is a bit slow inside when we were trying to look up the menu and the menu closes each category to allow only one category to open, not very easy to navigate. I didn't find the menu very interesting, nevertheless we ordered their popular dishes like ramen, Malaysia curry, and grilled cheese sandwich with creamy tomato soup. The ramen soup is quite thick with lots of sesame paste inside. The curry is spicy with blackened chicken but the rice is too mushy.
