i have had this system for a few years now and have extended warranty. i have to contact them every year to get a service . at the moment i have discovered that my smoke alarm is calling non stop because my phoe bill is standing at £250.00 at the moment. i have contacted them by email and by phone, girl on phone not helpfull just says she will email the tech section. if i dont hear shortly i intend to cut the phone wire to the alarm as obviously the system does not work, if it had been a fire the house would be burnt down by now. also last year when the service engineer finally arrived he discovered that the alarm box had not been working for months so i could have been broken into while on holiday. still waiting for a refund
still waiting for a phone call or email. have had to open the control panel and disconnect the phone wire to stop calls to the monitoring as phone bill is now very very high. if no response shortly i will cancel the direct debit with my bank as i object to paying for a service i am not getting
Finally got a phone call last week saying to email my phone bill which came to over £339 pounds and is normally about £130. I emailed my bill a week ago and requested conformation of receipt. Surprise surprise I have not heard a word, so much for customer care. At the moment I do not have monitoring as I cannot connect the phone line as the system would start calling and rack up my phone bill again. I thought that they would send someone to check it out but obviously its a case of we have your money so tough luck. I wont hold my breath but the yearly is overdue so someone might show maybe before christmas.
Surprise surprise finally got a phone call on 7th November stating an engineer will be in the area on the 11th of November and will call in past. So obviously the system is only looked at if someone is in the area. I asked about a refund for my phone bill but was told the panel will have to go back to them to check out before they decide if i get a refund or no. I assume I wont get anything back. I have paid for monitoring untill March 2015 and also for extended warrenty till 2017 but will cut my losses and get a local company in to look at the system and give me advice. i have been without cover for over 5 weeks and feel that i am being ripped off. read more
