After hearing rave reviews of this shop, I came in yesterday for a window that wouldn't roll down. Had the master control switch replaced, now that window works (that's why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1). However, now the door locks do not work. I called this morning to offer them the chance to remedy it, and instead was told that the door lock actuators must have failed (mind you, that would be a completely separate issue/repair). Well, given that the locks worked fine when I dropped the car off yesterday, now after the master switch replacement they suddenly do not work, it's only logical to assume there must be an issue with that new master switch and/or the installation work. They couldn't accommodate me today, and I'm about to start a new job, so I don't have the ability to bring it in later due to their inconvenient strictly M-F hours. I asked if there were any other options, was thinking maybe a discount or partial refund since I am now stuck with needing yet another repair after their work, but no dice. $480 down the drain. Next time I will go to O'Donnell Honda to have truly affordable repairs, done right the first time, and by a shop that stands by their work. read more

Finding Lockett's Auto Care has been a life saver. So helpful and friendly. That's important to me. A family run business where they look out for their customers and take good care of your car. Not trying to run up your bill. I usually hate dealing with car issues because when they see a woman coming the "you need a whole new engine" scam mechanics try to scare you into unneeded repairs but not at Lockett's. Don't be fooled by the teaser prices at other places, only to be manipulated once you hand over your car. Had a very bad experience with Mike from Lockett's Auto Care this afternoon. TLDR: Mike called me today and said, "if you bring this car in again I'm going to charge your fucking ass off" and "if you don't get here by 6 I'm leaving the keys outside on the ground." In Nov 2020 I brought my car to Lockett's because something was draining the battery and causing it to need a daily jump start. Lockett's repaired, but not for cheap--they insisted on a myriad of other repairs and the final bill was close to $1400. Over the next 3 months the issue persisted and my car battery died unless I started the car every day. I even jumped a friend's car and then needed a jump myself the next day. Finally I had the car towed back to Lockett's for a checkup on the previous repair. Today Mike called and told me that there was no issue with the previous repair. Apparently, the only problem was that I had left one of the sliding doors ajar, causing the battery to drain. Lockett's last repair involved cutting off the electricity to the sliding doors, meaning they no longer budge or can be opened at all, so this seems improbable to me. He said, "I'm not gonna charge you, but if you bring it in again I'm gonna charge your fucking ass off." He then told me that if I didnt arrive by the time the shop closed he was going to "leave the key outside on the ground." When I showed up to confront him, it was clear that he did not think anything serious had occurred. Mike apologized "for the way I took his words" and asked me to "forget he had said anything." Mike needs to know that his sense of humor is not funny, and completely inappropriate for clients who he has no personal relationship with. I will not be bringing my car back. read more

I want to give a shout out to Charles Sanders, Mike Lockett and everyone else down at Lockett Auto Care for the fast, friendly and efficient work they did on my Cavalier. She cut out on me on my way home from work Monday night and being able overdue for an oil change and the fact that when I checked the dip stick I seemingly had no oil I feared the worst. Turned out to be just a fuel pump and they had my car up and running in no time. Highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Lockett's has been providing care to our automobiles for nearly 30 years. Ever hear of animal rescues?.... Well, they rescue cars, ones that are at that difficult spot where the car is worth far more to the owner than on the open market. They try to save you money with parts and always go the extra mile in trying to solve problems. If there is a mistake in repair, or something missed, no problem, they make it right the second time. So I took my daughters car to get some work done. Like fix the window, some dash light stuff and check engine light. The mechanic called and said that the radiator cap had shattered. So I said fine, please replace it. Few days later,my radiator has a crack. It's was fine before going to locketts. . I told them that it might have happened when the mechanic shattered the cap and that might have caused the radiator to crack when trying to get it off,which we never asked to be looked at of coarse they denied it.and I had to pay another 300 dollars to fix it. Still overheating, so I took it back. I said don't go over 200 dollars, so of coarse, they charged me 200. Should have been free. Today I took my jeep to change a simple O2 sensor. I told them, only do work to get my jeep started and not go over 300 dollars. So, of course, they charged me 300. Be ware of going there, they will get as much out of you as possible. The head guy, Mike as rude, not friendly, and charged me exactly 300 , to get as much money out of me as possibly. 100 for parts, and 200 for labor? 100 for diagnosis and 100 for labor? Too much for just O2 sensor, he over charged because I said up to 300 and he could get away with it. They do okay work but will try to get as money out of you as possible and will do work that you didn't ask for. Like changing window wipers and air filter that you didn't authorize. Be ware of these people. I will not go back, can't trust Mike lockett, he will over charge read more
