Not returning calls to follow up on a problem. Tried several times with no luck... seem to be avoiding the call.

We've been dealing with old- very old kitchen spotlights. So when we gutted out our kitchen, there…read morewas no way in hell we were salvaging those as well as our under-cabinet lights. Our contractor referred us to come here on Central Ave in Yonkers because of their reputation, quality and variety. Lights on Design was like a crisp breath of fresh air when we stopped in here. Main floor is mostly crystal grand chandeliers, attractive contemporary style lights, some 1960s-inspired and more. And, if you're on their website, you can shop by style, fixture type and browse through some of their inspiration gallery photos. Paula was a doll, showed us the upstairs filled with mostly pendant lighting, floor lamps and some smaller chandeliers. Since so much has changed in lighting trend, getting rid of our wrought iron dining area chandelier had to happen as well- especially since it has a country-chicish look I don't like anymore in my home. There's another lighting store on Central Avenue which we could've gone to- but based on reviews, so glad this place came out on top. Owner Glenn, was helpful, patient and friendly. Even when hubs and I didn't find what we wanted on their website, Paula helped locate it in their paper catalog. I loved how she gave us expert advice on how to choose fixtures and even determined which size was best for our space. She was our lighting whisperer.

Freeport location. Purchased a fan that was to include a remote. Arrived no remote. They wanted me…read moreto pay for the remote separately for $95 and pay the electrician $150 to come back and install. Their mistake, DO NOT STAND BEHIND THE ERRORS THEY MAKE! Kevin the mgr is not customer sensitive, , strictly looking to deflect blame, gives you double talk BS. Should not be in a managerial position, in over his head. I left message for Jonathan Weiss, owner, never called. Buy your products elsewhere at a reputable company.

As mentioned in a previous post I received fixture with broken glass. Well they replaced the glass…read morewith the wrong color. N & S does not stand by the products they sell. They are happy to give you broken fixtures, not allow you to return because it's broken, The resolution is less than professional they insisted on ordering the glass that was broken-and of course the incorrect part. The disappointment continues. In addition, this client was limited in selection because of vaulted ceilings. When we asked to confirm all necessary pieces were included we were told no. We needed to order additional extension rod, however everything else needed for installation would be included. Of course, this was also bad information. Additional canopy covers needed to be ordered to compensate for the slope (They were not included). I could buy a similar fixture from home depot without all the aggravation. So sad I try to give local businesses support, this business makes it difficulty.
