One of our regrets, however, was that we missed the annual water jousting, a legendary sport here in the Languedoc traditional culture. It is officially called the Festival de Saint-Louis.
This main canal is beautiful, as it boasts of many intriguing details on the wrought-iron balconies, paved cobblestones, and the intricate weaving and networks of the canals.
This city, when we visited, was lively and bustling with visitors during the daytime. We sampled fresh seafood at local eateries, which is one of my highlights during my visit.
