I had 4 friends in town for a weekend earlier in the autumn. They stayed in the two-bedroom (sleeps 4+) flat on West Live Oak and enjoyed the daylights out of it. Everyone who stayed in the house had previously been to or lived in Austin, and each one not only loved the house but the neighborhood, the accessibility to downtown, and the lengths to which Top Trip Rentals went to make the home feel, well, homey. As a general example, the house came with chips and salsa in the kitchen, local coffee, and lists of things to do, places to visit, and and everything in between. The house in which they stayed was clean, well-stocked, and run by a friendly and warm staff. Highly recommended for people looking to spend a fun or business-oriented weekend in Austin. If you are going to be here for any amount of time and are looking for a place to stay that is both conveniently near downtown, quiet, has space for parking and access to public transit, there literally isn't a better option in the city. read more

Very poor customer service. My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks over the holidays at a property we had spent a lot of time at prior to Logewell taking ownership. When we arrived, we were concerned about the overwhelming smell of dog pee (we do not have pets). We called and were told yes, they had found 4x spots of urine that they were unable to clean properly before we arrived - including the couch. At first, Lodgewell were accommodating and moved us to another property while they brought in a professional cleaner. When we came back, the urine smell persisted and we still had another week at the property. Lodgewell would return our calls just to say no one was available to respond to our request. We asked for a very small reimbursement given that we literally had to sit in dog pee to watch tv, they stopped responding to us. Oh, and it was Christmas. If I wanted to sleep in dog pee I would have stayed in NYC. A cockroach also jetted out from under the couch, so literally just like home. read more

Avoid at all costs! I am a retreat experience leader and have been for a decade. Our experience working with Lodgewell was by far the worst experience we have ever had. They are downright rude, nasty, and actually threatened us. We were visiting a venue we know and love that Lodgewell had recently taken on as a management company. We will not visit the venue again until Lodgewell is no longer managing. What had previously been a peaceful, wonderful experience at this venue, became incredibly stressful and it worsened each day. I teach retreats all over the world & Lodgewell is hands down the WORST venue organizer we've ever worked with. Wildly unprofessional + unorganized all while being very demanding + challenging (and threatening...still makes my head spin) The venue owners said other hosts had issues with Lodgewell, several saying, including us, that they would not come back to stay until Lodgewell was out the picture. The venue itself had a nightmare of a time with them & were threatened throughout it lawsuits. Since the contract has finally finished, they have reached out and we will go back to working directly with them. We stayed at one their properties over the holidays and were very disappointed. When we arrived the apartment smelt like urine and it turns out there was a dog in the previous stay who had urinated all over the couch. Lodgewell were aware of the issue before we told them however they never gave us a warning and we laid on the couch with the urine. We then had to move apartments over Christmas which was further away from our desired location for 3 days while they deep cleaned the couch. When we returned the urine smell was still evident and we just had to leave a blanket over it to mask the smell. We then never received any further communication as lodgewell took a week off. We were not offered any discount and they have not been contactable since. I would avoid this company and their properties at all cost. read more

Woohoo! I recently stayed in one of their houses (Provident or Providente) and it was an amazing place for my whole family A lot of beds, bathrooms. An amazing bar table to prepare cocktails while kids were watching big screen TV. I was skeptical of what I would find in the city, due to COVID, but with many food delivery options downtown, we stayed there most of the time and only walked to the lake that is a couple of blocks away. We stayed at the Downtown Bungalow and I will have to say that it was below average, based on the high price we had to pay for what we got. We wanted a rental house instead of a hotel room because everything in Austin is so pricey, but I wish we would have just gone with a hotel. The customer service at Top Trip Rentals was great, up until we were there. I am 7 months pregnant and the air conditioning did not work well at all. There were also little black bugs, looked like tiny ants, that were crawling in the bathroom. I understand the house is very old, but when I text the company about the house not cooling off, their explanation was "ACs are designed to cool 20 degrees below ambient temperature. With these 98-100 degree days, 76 degrees is typical. It should cool more as the temperatures are going down outside." Needless to say, I was very uncomfortable when trying to sleep, luckily we didn't have to spend much time at the house during the day. After leaving the bungalow, we then stayed at a B&B (not through this company) that was 107 years old, in the attic, and it was a cool 68 degrees the entire time we were there. I would not recommend this house for a summer stay, especially if you are pregnant. And I would not recommend at all until they fix the bug problem. read more

One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. Totally unethical. Do not rent with them. They will not refund us our money even though we had to cancel because of the coronavirus. We are from Tennessee and cannot travel to Austin due to the coronavirus. We obviously wish we could come. This was my bachelor party so I was pretty devastated to have to cancel the trip, but we don't have a choice since Austin is shut down. We contacted them immediately once the city of Austin shut down all its businesses. They would not talk on phone, kept hanging up on us. They also ignore emails and refuse to refund money. Littlefield Quarters was a great location - right next to the 6th street bars, plenty of great restaurants, and for the price - we'd definitely stay here again. Also, this review is also in part for Top Trip. They are professional to work with and detailed in all instructions, making check in and out a breeze. They also went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. On our check out day, it was pouring rain and our flight was not until 7pm. They let us extend our checkout until late afternoon. We have been living on vacation rentals for the past 8+ months, and we were blown away with the high level of service that came with renting a vacation rental through Top Trip Rental. We stayed at Littlefield Quarters (305), which is the perfect location to experience the heart of Austin. It had a wonderful view, had easy parking, the home was very clean and high quality (loved the bedding!), and it was stocked with everything you need. Every detail seemed to be thought out - down to complimentary ear plugs so you would be guaranteed a good night sleep. Pros: great location, unbeatable price, updated units, friendly staff, convenient parking, downtown views, quiet even being close to 6th street. Cons: Things I had to ask for: 1) an iron, 2) cable to be hooked up, 3) a plunger, which I bought myself because it took over 2 hours to get one. (Did receive all said items, but shouldnt have to ask for basic necessities). Was woken up twice on two separate occasions because staff "had to look for something". My friends and I stayed in a 6th Street Condo hosted by Top Trip Rentals. The condo is conveniently located, spacious and lovely. Some of the best features include the following: - Ease of entry. The check in and entry process is extremely easy. No keys means I don't have to worry about losing a key or ensuring other guests have access. - Ability to walk to tons of places in Austin. Location on 6th is convenient and fun. We were less than a 10 min walk from the Austin Convention Center. I did not need rideshare or a car during my stay. - Cleanliness. The condo was very clean. Air conditioning and water pressure were also great. - Free snacks?! Top Trips provided complimentary snacks including chips & salsa, water, & more. We devoured them immediately. - Balcony overlooking 6th St. has an amazing view both day and night. - Surprisingly quiet. Although located on 6th St., the windows are pretty soundproof so the sound did not bother any of us. - Management. The Top Trip team made sure we had all the information to make our stay a great one. I felt comfortable that if any problems arose they would be available. - Discounted parking pass. We waived on this as it seemed expensive at the time. But you will not be able to find overnight parking for cheaper. Definitely opt for this option. The condo had wonderful amenities and we could not have asked for a better location. The only complaint I have is that the condo is listed as accommodating 6 guests when in reality there is only sleeping room for 4 (1 king & 2 twins.) The twins are pretty small while the king is extremely large (could fit 3 if you're ok with that). If you have more than 4 guest you will be using the couch/air mattresses provided by Top Trip Rentals. Also, if you have never been to 6th St., it can start looking pretty rough at night. Caution should be taken when walking in the area, especially after bars have closed for the night. Overall we really enjoyed our trip and loved the space. To whom this may concern: I have recently conducted business with Top Trip Rentals in accordance to a rental property in Austin, Texas over the weekend of 2 April-5 April of the year 2020. In the sixty days that have transpired between the booking of the rental property and present, our country and our existence has experienced the pandemic of COVID-19. Haven't heard of COVID-19? Open up a newspaper. Certainly, nobody expected the harsh and utter realities and challenges that we have begun to face in our day-to-day lives. It has gotten to a point where the national government has called for a mandatory quarantine and has limited gatherings to less than seven (7) people. At the end of the day I, along with my compadres, no longer feel safe traveling to Austin, Texas, let alone staying in a rental property where there is no telling what the prior tenants may have contracted, and if proper sanitation was used in an effective and detailed cleanup. Shame on Top Trip Rentals for being unwilling to accommodate our request for a full refund. I feel, as does my legal council, that the length of notice has been of proper etiquette and a full refund should be executed. It is instances and occurrences like these that separate the fortitude and compassion of the executives running them. Quite simply, Top Trip Rentals is run by simpletons with zero regard for the wellness of their clients. Please adhere and listen to our request for a full refund amongst the COVID-19 pandemic or legal affirmation will most certainly be taken by both my personal legal team and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). read more

I was visiting Austin for business meetings and stayed at the Aloft (2 nights). The hotel is in an excellent location - close to EVERYTHING! They have been open for just six weeks and you can tell that everything is new and staff is trying hard to leave a good impression. Room: My room was on the 29th floor and it was very quiet. The room was very spacious, clean and had a nice artsy look. Gym: Was decent sized and all the equipment was new and modern Lobby/Restaurant: The hotel has a coffee shop on the first floor and a really cool bar/restaurant on the second floor. It was busy every evening (they also have a good happy hour). read more

Littlefield Lofts was perfect for our stay in Austin. My husband was hesitant about staying at an airbnb but this apt exceeded our expectations. Glad we chose this over a hotel! We went with our dog and even he felt at home right away. The duplex apt was very spacious with free wifi and cable. The kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast, make coffee, and heat up leftovers. Great location! A block away from lots of bars/live music, a block away from a grocery store and a 7/11, a block away from Congress Ave/lots of amazing restaurants. We planned on renting a car, but didn't need to. Top Tip Rentals, it was a pleasure, thank you for responding so promptly and allowing us to check in early. I have done long weekend rentals with Top Trip Rentals in this building twice in the last three years, most recently a week and a half ago in unit 507. Our units have both times been clean and well-maintained. Staff is very helpful, friendly, and responsive to various requests that we made during both trips regarding keys, supplies, checkout.. This is a great location if you want to be in the middle of downtown activity (6th St, Rainey St, Warehouse District), or if you want a short walk to state capitol and UT campus. The $1.50 airport shuttle bus drops off just a few blocks away. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Top Trip Rentals. I contacted them late in the day on the Friday before a holiday weekend (Labor Day) looking for a vacation rental home in North Austin. I heard back from Chereen within the hour, and she informed me that their properties are located more centrally, but that she'd contact her colleagues to see if they had anything. I didn't have much hope of hearing back, but the very next day she responded with the perfect location through one of her competitors, and the property hadn't even been listed yet as it wasn't quite finished being renovated, but will be by the time we stay there. I got the property at almost half off thanks to Chereen, and it wasn't even one of the Top Trip Rental properties! Very pleased with my dealings with Top Trip, and I will absolutely be using them for future vacation rentals in Austin. read more

There were a few issues with the property we rented. Firstly the light in the upstairs bathroom stopped working halfway through the rental. The cabinets in the Kitchen didn't close properly and the dishwasher leaked when used. The wardrobe doors in one of the bedrooms were broken and half an unmade bed was left occupying the wardrobe too. There was a strong smell of urine at the bottom of the stairs which didn't disappear. As listed on the amenities we had a Ipod docking station which we did not find in the property. There was no 2nd key nor did we receive the password for the wifi as promised. read more

Chereen and her assistant, Rebecca did an awesome job with everything from start to finish regarding our Airbnb experience. My friends and I went to Austin to celebrate my best friend's birthday and we wanted to go somewhere unique and cool. Top Trip Rentals has the best customer service of any Airbnb location I have rented so far. I actually rented a different one of the lofts than the one we ended up staying in, but one friend added on last minute, a week before our trip, I contacted Chereen and she was extremely accomodating and allowed our group to transfer to a different loft that was slightly larger and more comfortable (of course we paid the difference). I don't think every Airbnb host is willing to do that to help you out. AC worked great. Location was right at the western side of 6th street, so it was really convenient and we walked to most places, including Congress Bridge to see the bats. The wifi worked fine, we cooked breakfast one day before river tubing and all the appliances worked fine. Also, on our last day, we ordered Franklin BBQ and the pickup time is at 10:30 AM, and usually check-out is at 11 AM, but Chereen made an exception for us and allowed us to stay and finish eating before the cleaning crew came, which was very nice of her. This Airbnb experience really made our experience in Austin, TX so much better and I would book again with Top Trip Rentals without hesitation. Thanks Chereen and Rebecca, we'll be back!!! read more

We returned last weekend from a 5 day visit with our son who lives in Austin. We stayed at the Littlefield Lofts #702 and everything was great from the initial correspondence with Top Trip to the check out. I had a question while we were there and they were very quick to get back to us. The location cant be beat if you want to be centrally located to nightlfe, shopping, restaurants. There are detailed instructions in the condo on signing on to the wifi, parking garage, garbage, etc. The parking garage was easy to use and the keyless entry to the building and the condo were very convenient. We were on the top floor so noise was really not an issue. The pictures on their website for this condo are not entirely up to date. The bathroom has been updated and the bedroom with the twin beds has also been updated. The sectional sofa is accurate and very comfortable. There is a larger TV in a different location and different seating by the big window.....all an improvement over the pictures on the website. Several bottles of water were in the frig along with cream for the coffee. Tons of paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher soap and garbage bags were available. More than enough coffee and sweetener for our stay and snacks and local salsa for us to enjoy complimentary. The balcony overlooks the corner of Brazos and E. 6th street. The police close down E. 6th street on this corner every evening we were there and it turns into a pedestrian street for several blocks. It reminded us of Bourbon Street in NO except much much cleaner and upscale compared to Bourbon. Lots of live music to enjoy in many venues. Great restaurants. From now on when we visit our son, we will be using Top Trip for our rental needs!! read more
