The newly-renovated space incorporates every detail you could imagine into your event. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're in a million dollar party. They can change the lighting to fit your theme, the audio/video system is out of this world, and the range of options through HYPE productions (incl. photo booth, dj/mc, music etc.) completely ices the cake for a perfect evening. It's hard to start describing how Loft21 is such a perfect venue, so let's start with the people. JuneElise, Loft21's event manager, is EXTREMELY helpful in guiding you along the way to a seamless event...she will answer any question you have, and deliver professional results quickly and efficiently...we did not sense this level of customer support at any other venue we shopped. Her attitude is great and you won't be disappointed. Secondly, the HYPE staff is incredibly entertaining, and our dance floor did not stop until the lights went on...they hit every corner of the music we requested and the MC, Adam, kept the party moving like a Mac truck... it was awesome, and we still get complements to this day. Jazmine, the owner, was quite involved with our planning as well, as she owns both HYPE and Loft21...so if you use both, you enjoy a discount and she was very clear on how the combined package saved us tons of cash. I could go on...so why don't I? The atmosphere is so unique and stimulating... the bars are uber-modern with an industrial feel, the staff is incredibly well trained and friendly, the globo with your event logo shines on the wall, the preferred caterer they recommended was perfect (Marcellos!), the audio video incorporation is super cool, and we wished the night never ended!! I'd say, with all the competition we shopped for our wedding, Loft21 provided the most competitive pricing for a 350 person event that we could find - they offered everything we wanted (and more), and you will be doing yourself a favor by calling them today before their calendar fills up. There's definitely a shortage of event venues if you're comparing to what's available in the city. And while we're lucky enough to have a city full of amazing venues nearby sometimes it's just easier to stick with something nearby. Hence why Loft 21 is such a popular option for bar mitzvahs and other big events. If you have a 12/13 year old kid going thru the mitzvah circuit chances are you'll end up here. The venue itself is owned by Jazmine at Hype Productions. I haven't rented out Loft 21, but have hired Hype twice and been thrilled with everyone I"ve worked with over there so I"m guessing this is so exception. Jazmine is very on top of everything, which is perfect for my type A personality. While I highly recommend Hype for event production you can bring in others to the space. The bar mitzvah we attended this past weekend had Tenny from Flo as their MC. The space can easily be transformed and seems to work with any theme. And for those who don't want to go crazy with decor it's a pretty venue on it's own. They have a nice area upstairs for cocktails. People tend to congregate near the bar which can make it crowded so I recommend putting a food station (or extra bar) in the area separated off so that people spread out just a bit. This area also overlooks the ballroom so at the end of the cocktail hour they do a big reveal by showing the room down below, which is cool. The acoustics in the space aren't great and my biggest complaint is that I can't hear anyway near me while I"m there. I can also barely hear any speeches when I'm in the space. While at a large event with over 200 people we heard a very loud crash about 20 feet from our table. A large klieg lamp fell 15-20 feet from the ceiling crashing into the dance floor. Miraculously no one was hit by it or cut by the glass. Given it probably weighed over 50 pounds, it would've probably killed somebody if they were in it's path. What did management do? Looked at the ceiling for 15 minutes and then let everyone go back to dancing under the other 6 lights possibly (un)secured by the same individual..... poorly handled. Our family stayed out of that area completely for the evening. That pretty much overshadowed our memories of the event..... read more

Loft21 is as unique as it gets. JuneElise and Jazmine from HYPE productions are true professionals and know the "wedding business" very well. You're definitely in great hands with this power duo! It is no surprise their dates fill up quickly as this venue is highly sought after. I would recommend using a wedding planner when booking this venue because as a "DIY" bride it was hectic at times. JuneElise was always quick to respond and helped us navigate the process, however, and the day went smoothly overall. If you want a blank canvas to design the wedding of your dreams this is the perfect venue for you. I highly recommend booking HYPE for entertainment as well because they know the venue well inside and out. There is not enough stars for this place. I don't know where to begin. We had our wedding here in July, which was rescheduled from July of 2020. First, rescheduling was so easy with JuneElise, for a few months after the pandemic hit I was in contact with JuneElise to see if we were need to move our date, eventually we made the determination that we had to reschedule, JuneElise was so thoughtful and helpful in changing our day with no issue at all! We wanted to get married in a venue that was that urban loft style, but issues with going downtown was parking or hotels nearby. Loft21 hit all off our check marks. HUGE parking lot. Right across the street from a hotel. The venue was beyond beautiful. Large brick wall with our custom GOBO looked amazing. Our grand reveal... literally brought tears to my eyes at how perfect it went. (We had a very specific vision for the grand reveal) and it was literally perfect. I cant wait for my video to come so I can rewatch it forever. The lighting and music was like we were in a club it was the coolest thing and we had a private Bridal Room to freshen up and keep our stuff safe. A private entrance for the bride and groom before cocktail hour. Everything there is customizable from lighting to TV screens. It is truly awesome. I can't count the number of people who told me this was the best wedding or coolest venue they have ever been at. JuneElise made the final walk through so easy with helping choose final details like lighting color or linen upgrades. I highly recommend Loft 21 as a venue. I had my 50th Birthday Ball there on Aug 11, 2018. My guest are still talking about their experience. JuneElise and staff were phenomenal. One thing that stands out about Loft 21 is that they host one event at at a time. We started upstairs with a cocktail hour using the outside patio and upper level fully closed off. During my grand entrance the walls opened to reveal me. My guest said they have never seen anything like it. The staff also helped provide me with a flawless execution of my party. I plan on using them again for my daughters sweet 16. Was highly recommend for weddings, birthdays, and corporate events! read more

I attended a wedding here last week and was very disappointed that not one staff member was wearing a mask. I came from out of state but I am pretty sure that the state of Illinois has a mask mandate and not one guest was asked to put a mask on when we entered the venue and it completely blew my mind that not one staff member, especially the wait staff who were serving food and drinks were not masked. I am currently waiting for a Covid -19 test result because of how uncomfortable I felt being at this place of business. read more

Went to a wedding here last week, this place is cheap and tacky. Mediocre bar, cheap chairs and the food was awful. Steak was tough as leather, risotto was like glue and others said their chicken was dry. The building is industrial and cold, coffee served in styrofoam cups, that you served yourself, thought I was in a park district building, OMG Very little wait staff, no salt n pepper no dessert plates. Great venue for drive-in movies!! Excellent opportunities for non-profit fundraisers. Film what is important to your organization and invite your guests to see it safely on the big screen. Staff and support is amazing and the sound quality superb. Make sure and get all of your media specs ahead of time before creating your film or slide show! read more

The staff was so professional, and kind. Honestly, we could not have pulled off our big day without JuneElise! JuneElise is a true gem!
