Amazing venue and fantastic staff. We held a charity concert event with over 300 people and the acoustics were great. JuneElise and her entire staff were there for us every step of the way. I completely recommend hosting your event at Loft21.

Drive-in idea is great, but letting people sit on top of their car ruins it for everyone. Couldn't see a thing

The wait staff were hospitable and helped us with anything that we needed! Forgot to take pictures of the food, but the family style lunch menu was a hit with everyone, and so much food! We appreciated being able to get more food as needed. The short rib was worth the upcharge and a fan favorite. If we need to host any more large parties like this, Saranello's is definitely on our list!

I noticed a portrait on the wall next to the stand and inquired who it was. Her name was Sara Rowe, and it's a loving memorial to a long time Melman partner. Melman combined her first name, Sara, with a classic Italian suffix to create the name "Saranello's". It's an upscale restaurant with upscale food. But at a mid-scale price point, Thanks for that! The food: I had the baked eggplant parm, since I'm from Chicago. You know what I mean if you're local. And it's my new benchmark. Well done! The wife had the braised short rib ravioli. It's now her desert island dish. It's a very very nice space. And our server knew the menu backwards and forwards. Anyone who's had the grated "parmesan" in the green can will appreciate the genuine Parmiggiano Reggiano they serve here. Freshly grated with no cellulose, and that beautiful tang! With homemade tiramisu for dessert, and a glass of wine, the tab was about $75, but you get what you pay for, and you'll get what you're paying for here!

The entrance is a great spacious area with variety of comfy seats and spaces to place pictures to honor loved ones and showcase the couples travels and love story. We made it to the bar and noticed the cute signature drink signage. The margarita was delish! There were a lot of folks crowding the bar for cocktail hour and the two bartenders were busting their chops to serve all guests..couldn't help but noticed they could of used a third person to ease the load. Making our way to the next part of the room, there were cocktail tables, a photo booth, and sign-in/gifts table. After awhile the staff removed some dividers to reveal a spacious area for the tables and guests with the sweetheart table center and ample room for dancing. The evening flowed with speeches, plated dinners, dances, and a champagne toast. The salad sat on a cheese bowl with boats of dressing to pass around, the entrees had tasty veggies and creamy potatoes. My fiancés salmon tasted better than the chewy filet mignon. As soon as the dancing started, the staff would whisk away plates and bottles of wine to which our table requested the bottles be left behind due them still being consumed / half full. The bar was still flowing and later in the evening there were some midnight snacks. Bathrooms had plenty of stalls and were clean. The overall time we had went by too quickly! Enjoyed our evening!!

First of all, Brenda and Carrie are very accommodating and responsive, they assisted us with all our needs and requests. The space is beautifully curated -- complete, neat, updated, well-equipped and not to forget , the minimalist vibes , was all I was looking for. I am so pleased with our overall experience and my guests loved every single detail of the venue. If you are looking for a venue that can be customized, reasonable price and intimate, I definitely recommend trying out this space. We all had a great time and I absolutely had a perfect 30th birthday party. Thank you so much LOFT 329 for allowing me to celebrate in your beautiful space.

It is an absolutely stunning space. Many of my guests walked in and could not stop remarking how great the place was. It is also conveniently located right next to the Highwood Metra, so my guests who came from Chicago without a car could easily come. The space is super flexible regarding vendors and decorating. Carrie, who was our main contact, was communicative and responsive! We found Loft 329 after needing to change the venue last minute from my original one. From day one of reaching out, Carrie was quick to respond, she managed to fit my mother in for a quick tour and booking was super easy. She even went out of her way to try to help us find a rental for some tables and chairs. Definitely do not pass this space up if you're looking for an affordable, flexible and gorgeous event space!

Ravinia Green Country Club

However, I've been to more bar mitzvah celebrations there than I can count...and if you're looking for a venue that can do a turnkey mitzvah this is it. When looking for my own celebrations I looked elsewhere because I prefer a venue that's a little different, but Ravinia Green has the process down and makes it easy for those planning. Cocktail hour: I've been to cocktail hours in the restaurant, another room within the club and outside. I will say outside is the way to go if the weather cooperates, but unfortunately the weather is unlikely to cooperate in Chicago. Main space: It's a spacious room that's perfect for about 200 (an estimate) people. It's always the same set up with the stage straight ahead, bar in the back, photo booth to the far right and food stations towards the back and to the left. Tables are set up throughout the room with the kids typically being closer to the dance floor. It's a nice space that's easy to make beautiful with the right decor company. Food: I find the food to be fair here, but that's typically the case when it comes to serving food to the masses. I've been to parties where they can take quite a long time to service everyone from the stations so I recommend having 2-3 stations that aren't right next to each other to keep the lines down. I've found their Mexican and gyro stations to be the best. Dessert: This is what they do best so if you are at an event save room for lots of delicious desserts. I usually find apps and desserts (and skipping the entree) is the way to go at most events I attend and i know if i'm going to to ravinia green that the desserts will be extra tasty. Cost: I've never seen a proposal, but I'm sure planning an event is pricey, but i have heard it's more reasonable than many other local venues. We've been to so many events here that my family often says "again?" when i announce we are going to Ravinia Green, but there's something to be said for consistency and they consistently do a good job with them.

The CBG is so kind to provide free wheelchairs for people in need. The only thing that would be even better is if more of their garden areas were accessible for wheelchair users, strollers, etc. I also visited the gardens on a Thursday morning for their music concert. The weather was perfect, and the performances were absolutely wonderful. The musicians were so very talented! Overall, this place is the best. Then found various places to enjoy sitting and reading alternating with meandering strolls. Every area is beautiful although weekends can get quite crowded. Some of the further areas as well as the pines and wooded areas are usually a little less crowded. What was new for me this time was realizing their food offerings are wonderful. Not only do they have quite a variety but they cater to various dietary restrictions including swapping in tofu to make items vegan or vegetarian on some meals. The ideas range from burgers to fried chicken to excellent salads and tacos. I decided to try the beet hummus with roasted carrots because it seemed so fresh and innovative. Perfectly balanced meal with slightly sweet smooth hummus, crunchy pita chips, lightly toasted sweet carrots with a good chew still left in them. Plus a whipped goat cheese, pistachio pieces, and powdered mint. The flavors were wonderful.
