Lots of Crime I've lived here two years and the crime has done nothing but go up. There was a shooting at the end of 2023 that left several apartment windows shattered from stray bullets. There are car break-ins several times a month the most recent was on January 19, 2024 seven vehicles had their windows, smashed and belonging stolen. Management refuses to install any security measures at all. The courtesy officer is never present, and will not respond to calls in a timely manner. There are several fence lines that are broken, where people trespass from, and there are homeless camps just on the other side of the fences. This complex is falling apart due to poor leadership and a large amount of residents have moved out or will be when their lease is up. I would avoid this place at all costs. You will not feel safe here and you will not feel safe leaving your vehicle parked here overnight read more

The new ownership clearly does not care. Since they have taken over, the new office "manager" is rude and consistently late opening the office. The grounds are now in terrible shape. This includes the grass and all the extra trash that is along the property grounds. With the price that we pay and how things use to be, these owners should be ashamed of themselves!! I will absolutely not be renewing my lease with them. Also, I have heard that rates are going up and they will now charge a monthly pet fee!! More money for less quality and service! Wow!! The only good thing they did was keep Kristen, Grace and the Maintance people. All other decisions have been questionable at best!! $1324 for a 1 bedroom!!! Lol never again. I only gave 2 start because the Lofts are beautiful! Pricing and management, not so much!! Also left a voicemail 3 days ago, still no call back!! Update. The "manager" Vicky called me to tell me that the office now opens at 9am instead of 8:30am as the previous owners had it. So after reading my review, that the only part you take away for it. Got it! I moved here from Greenville, NC. My husband works out of town alot. So I love the added security I get here. I do wish you could buzz people in .. But otherwise, I've got no complaint so far. I lived here a few years ago(sorry for my late review), the whole staff is awesome, friendly professional and very accommodating. The whole place is great, lobby, pool, car wash and other amenities. The apartment it self (1 bedroom) has been the best we ever rent. In Macon area, I am not afraid to say is the best option... also the location is close to everything you might need, supermarkets, restaurants, post office, etc. read more

I moved into the Lofts at Zebulon on 3/2019, before construction was complete; no pool; dirt parking lots and no gate access. I paid for all the amenities that were not yet available at the time I moved in. In 2020, due to the Covid virus, all the amenities that were just recently made available, were now closed. Around 3/2020, I received a lease renewal notice and an INCREASE in the monthly base rent, plus an additional none optional $15 per month valet trash fee, (pickup services NOT available on Fri, Saturday and holidays). And just so you know, dog poop is everywhere!!! I just received a renewal notice for 2021. You guessed it! An increase in base rent, increase in the valet trash fee from $15 to 25 per month and a brand new fee, $2 per month to monitor my monthly renters insurance policy payments!! I'm feed up with paying more and getting less in return. read more

Rent is going up almost 200.00. They installed electronic door locks that are asking for a law suit. It takes at least 10 seconds to open at times. I timed it. That could cause problems in the wrong situation. I have a friend who lives in building two, and the door to enter is broken and has been for weeks. So anyone can simply walk in. Did I say the electronic locks take ten seconds at times. It's before the gates, so really just anyone can walk in. She says the elevator has been broken for over a week. I visited tonight and it still doesn't work. You have to push "four" several times or it will not stop on the fourth floor. If you smoke pot, you will feel right at home. Again, the rent is going up 200 dollars. Yet, the amenities have not improved. Bowman Station is much nicer and cheaper. This place is not worth it. read more

I moved into my apartment here at Lofts of Zebulon in October and have absolutely loved it. The office staff Kristen and Vicki have been amazing and helpful with everything. They have made my move in experience a breeze. They have been extremely helpful with the very few issues I've experienced. BAIT & SWITCH SCAM! Vicki is a horrible apartment manager & Joe isn't too far behind! On Aug 11, 2020 I applied to the Lofts at Zebulon in Macon, Ga. and paid the application fee of $65 (nonrefundable) for the 1E layout. On Aug 26, 2020 I paid the deposit and admin fee which total to $345. I received, signed and returned the lease agreement on September 25th. I also received a "move-in reservation sheet" which states by signing this document, Lofts at Zebulon in Macon, Ga., constitutes acknowledgement and agreement by all leaseholders and guarantors. I signed this final document and returned it to the leasing office. My move-in date was for October 30th for the BIGGEST 1 bedroom layout this apartment complex has to offer. The layout I signed a lease for is 1,002 sq ft, has a patio and an attached garage and the total price was to be $1339 monthly (base rent plus contour package, valet trash, pest control). Preparing for my new apartment, I have given away furnishings that I didn't want in my new home and purchased additional furniture and decor items to create the atmosphere that is fitting. I also notified the postal service and utility companies of the date to disconnect my present service and the date in which to start my new. As I order various items online, some have a delivery date after October 30, 2020 so I gave the shippers my new address at the Lofts at Zebulon in Macon, Ga. Suddenly and abruptly yesterday, October 9, I received a phone call from the apartment complex saying that the tenant wants to stay longer (even though he already turned in his 30 day notice of leave and his lease has ended) and that now I will not be able to move in until November 11, 2020. This causes a problem for me because I have to be out of my current apartment by October 30th and now I will be homeless after October 30th. I tell Vicki my issue and the only thing she offers to do is put me in their SMALLEST 1 bedroom apt (794 sq.ft) for the SAME PRICE as the 1,002 sq ft apartment. I asked can I at least get first month rent free, a discount, a basic 2 bedroom for the same price as my deluxe 1 bedroom or move the tenant that's in my apartment to another 1 bedroom and she said no to everything. She also had a horrible attitude and was very rude. Obviously upset because Lofts at Zebulon is trying to break our lease without compensating me for the inconvenience they caused, I googled the corporate office for Lofts at Zebulon and was connected with Joe, the regional manager. Joe then proceeds to inform me that they let the tenant renew his lease for an additional 3 months. THAT'S RIGHT IN A MATTER OF 30 MINUTES MY MOVE IN DATE CHANGED FROM OCT 30TH TO NOV 11TH TO FEBRUARY OF 2021 even though we have a signed lease for October 30th and the other tenant's lease has expired. I tell Joe that I have to be out of my current apartment by October 30th and I need somewhere to stay now, not 3 months from now. He then tries to coerce me to stay over my lease at my current apartment by saying "You know you don't have to leave your apartment even though your lease is up. You can do to your apartment what this tenant is doing to us." So basically trying to get me to refuse to leave my apartment. I then proceed to tell him that Vicki offered me the smallest 1 bedroom apartment they have and for my inconvenience they should AT LEAST offer me something that's equivalent to what I signed the lease and paid the deposit for or better, NOT LESS. I ask Joe until my apartment is available can they put me in a basic 2 bedroom (1,082 sq ft) for the same price as my deluxe 1 bedroom (1,002 sq ft) and he tells me no because there is a $100 difference. THE AUDACITY! They're breaking our lease, inconveniencing me, leaving me homeless, plus I have to foot the bill to hire a moving company to move me twice and they can't even give me a $100 discount off of rent until my apartment is ready!? Joe says the only thing he can offer me is an 872 sq ft apartment for $1,313 ($1,184 base rent plus $129 contour package) and I'll be able to transfer to the apartment that I signed the lease for without having to pay a transfer fee (If it ever becomes available because even though the tenant signed another 3 month lease, he can stay longer if he wants.) So just to make it clear, in exchange for my large 1 bedroom corner unit apartment that's 1,002 sq ft with an attached garage, 6 windows, and a patio for a monthly charge of $1,339, The Lofts at Zebulon is offering me a 1 bedroom center unit with no garage, no patio, no balcony and only 2 windows for $1,313. Believe the other reviews when they tell you how terrible of a manger Vicki is. I didn't and now I'm being punished for it. It's obvious that Vicki, the apartment manager, and Joe, the regional manager, have created this situation without offering any real solutions. AS OF OCT 30, 2020 I WILL BE HOMELESS UNLESS THE LOFTS AT ZEBULON HONOR THEIR CONTRACT. read more

I've been a resident here since June and I DO NOT plan on renewing my lease. For one, Vicky all of a sudden doesn't accept our packages anymore so we have to go to the post office EVERY TIME we have a package delivered. In my lease it states that they do and will hold our packages. When I first came to look at the apartments, Kristen and the old assistant manager Grace told me they always receive packages there. I constantly receive packages because of my business and it's a real big inconvenience for me to have to drive over there EVERYDAY!!!!!!!! I went in there twice and even requested Joe number and the assistant manager refused to give it to me. The management sucks here! read more

i would honestly be giving no starts if it wasnt for how beautiful my apartment is. I relocated to Macon from Pennsylvania back in December and I shouldve known from my initial experience to have chosen a complex with better management. When i called in November and scheduled a tour, i asked if i should apply to ensure a unit was available as i would need to move in immediately after my tour. They assured me it was not peek season and to not worry about it. I then called the weekend before my relocation and was told that they had no units. I was irate but Kristen advised they would have a unit available about a week and a half after i needed to move. Although i was frustrated, i fell in love with the apartments from the moment I looked at the pictures online and decided to stay at an Air BNB in ATL until my unit was available. I moved in with very minor issues, a bad toilet seat and few marks on the wall but the maintenance team does a great job coming out same day to fix any issues you may have! As i mentioned, i moved from Pennsylvania, and bought all new furniture when moving in. I have had two tables, an office chair, bar stools, and even rugs mailed to my apartment with no issues.... until now. Although it states in my lease agreement on page two of the "Community Policies, Rules and Regulation Addendum" that "This community does accept packages on behalf of Residents," as of recently, Vicky, the office manager has started to refuse packages from USPS. I went down to the office to discuss this matter with her and she blatantly lied to me and said she has never done so. She went to explain how they were dropping off packages that were too large and she asked them to deliver them to tenant doors as she doesnt have the space in the office to take them and that it was "their job to take them to our doors." Mind you, as i previously stated, ive had NUMEROUS large packages delivered, from USPS, at the office since my short time here. She advised that the supervisor of the post office herself came to the lofts and that the Post office said they would not be delivering anymore packages as they would not be going to residents doors. I asked her if she spoke to the post office about this issue before refusing them, which she then looked at me dumbfounded, as if trying to resolve the issue before refusing our packages was out of this world. I have a friend that lives in the complex that Vicky told herself she refused her package but to entertain her lies, I decided to go to the post office to pick up my packages and speak to the supervisor myself, Mashika Davis. Mashika advised that they stopped bringing packages because the manager was refusing them. She went further into detail with stating that they tried to resolve the issue, and the only option VIcky was allowing was either no delivery or the post office going door to door. Mashika further explained that they are federal employees and it isnt their job to take the packages to the door. I called the office and asked Melissa for Vickys supervisors number. She stated they could only provide me with corporate phone number. THis number went straight to a VM for her supervisor Joe. I left a VM and it states he will get back to me within 48 hours. SO i called and asked for a corporate number that i could talk to someone directly. The corporate office stated Jina was not available but that they would send her and Joe an email to contact me. I then went down the leasing office to ask for Joes business card and Vicky stated verbatim " He will be contacting you. I do not have his business card." i then asked her if she could provide me with his email. which she then stated " again, he will contact you. i do not give out his contact information." Y'all, i have lived in SIX different states and have NEVER dealt with a manager who did not care for the residences in her facility. furthermore, i have never dealt with someone who blatantly lies and makes living in a complex so inconvenient for residents. She truly does not care. She doesn't greet her residents when they come into the office. Her nor Melissa even come out of the office to greet you. EVERY SINGLE TIME i have gone in and they are the only ones there, i have had to step into their offices to even get their attention. If it were me disobeying the lease guidelines, VIcky would have no problem ensuring I was held accountable to the full extent of my legal binding document. But she doesn't believe she has to hold up her end of the agreement and Melissa went as far to tell my friend that it is a courtesy to take our packages when that is not a fact! I really hope Joe and Jina fix this issue and per the prior reviews, it really seems as if a change a management should occur. Joe reached out and advised he would be handling this situation.
