I tend to enjoy watching games at QPR; the pitch is small and the action always seems to be fast paced.

Price for the gym only is expensive at £65/ mth and the spa use is more expensive. Spa and gym membership is £90/ mth and include access to steam room, sauna, solarium, and even a snow room, which is quite novel. There is a hyrdropool which is good for relaxing in, but sadly no swimming pool. Membership includes discounts in the hotel restaurants and 2x guest passes for the year to treat friends. Overall the facilities are pleasant and the staff are nice, however the price is quite high, but then if you attend regularly it is worth it.

Not only do you have to get a card you have to sign in. Sometimes you get in line and wait! Who needs that extra hassle. Then when you leave, you have to go back to the 3rd floor and get the card with your name on it again. Wait, wait, wait. - they don't listen! The staff at the counter don't take any notice of issues in the gym. - no one cleans up the gym during the day - so towels are laying around, weights lying everywhere - no liquid cleaner or paper in the dispensers to clean the equipment before and after you use it - yuch. I asked 4 times, then finally brought the liquid bottles to the counter on the other floor for them to refill. Seems they can't be bothered - machines don't work and stay that way. Not regularly maintained. Signs sit on them for ever. - lots of the tv screens don't work - the room itself is really quite small yet they charge £65/month - the steam room and sauna are not part of the gym membership - you have to pay a lot extra to enter the spa area. - the staff use the changing rooms as their changing rooms! Not cool. - the music OMG they either have no music or they put it on a radio station and turn it up loud. Ever try to work out with someone's voice talking loudly on and on - not music but the chat in between. Really cheap. - If you talk to the manager, Ludmela, she just says, "It's policy" to go through the sign-in/out regamorole. Yes, they are looking for someone to look after the gym! So they didn't say that when I paid up for 3 months. GIVE THIS PLACE A MISS

I have been there in summer, as they also have 4 out door courts as well as 8 indoor courts. You will play on the clay court outdoors and on an acrylic court indoors. Playing tennis at this sports centre gave a proper city like feeling, as it is next to an autoroute bridge. The facilities are absolutely ok. You have to book in advanced, as they do get buys at peak times, but otherwise they have a free court on the day. West Way sports centre is a pay and play centre without members, we were charged a one-off registration fee of £3 for 1 hour. In summer it can get quite hot when the sun gets out. When walking to the courts there are football games taking place, everyone gets sportive active. If you want to have a more professional lesion there is also the possibility to book a coached session. This place is great value for money, which makes you go out there and play tennis!

None of the courts are expensive to hire, but you should aim to book well in advance. Eton Fives is a game played by hitting a small ball with a glove hand within a three walled court. It requires devastatingly quick reflexes to master. Housing a pool, climbing wall and a whole host of sports, the Westway Centre is a popular sporting location.

Take Hurlingham, where if you're not wearing 87% white, some haughty octogenarian will shuffle over and delight in ticking you off. And where despite the fact they boast dozens of often deserted, pristine courts, you can't book for more than an hour. And don't get me onto the 10-year waiting list. HPLTC is infinitely friendlier with far more sensible rules. What makes it special is the fact it's small enough to encourage a community feel, but not so small as to feel claustrophobic. The grounds are also wonderful. If you don't have any outdoor space at home as I don't you can while away summer days with a few sets on grass courts, before collapsing with a newspaper and Pimms in a deckchair on their generous lawn. The club, tucked away in Holland Park, has a unique atmosphere and is the type of place where you can turn up alone and find someone to chat to and probably play with. There's a club night on Wednesday with a dinner afterwards, a singles league, tournaments, barbecues in the summer and a dedicated core of regulars. Really, if you're tennis-mad, as I am, there's no better place to be on a sunny day...and no better tennis club in London.

First-Hand Experience: Well I've seen QPR play live, in person, 3 times total. Once against Oxford United, once against Liverpool, and once in a pre-season game. They're a proud club with more money than they should have. I respect them and appreciate them but they're not my fave, and don't play amazing football either. It's a rich little club in West London that is a rival of Chelsea and Fulham, and just got a lot richer with the new owners. However despite their wealth and a litany of excellent well known overpaid players, they keep getting relegated, and will probably be again this season. Formed in 1882, they play in blue and white hoops, and my brother once played for them in his imagination. His fave player was Les Ferdinand. They were runners up in the Prem back in 1976, and FA Cup runners up in 1982, but the only thing they've ever won is the League Cup in 1967, as well as runners up in 86 (go Oxford!). I have no affinity with this team whatsoever although their stadium does create an excellent atmosphere.

I…read morewanted to give the company a chance to rectify the situation offline, so that I did not have to share this publicly. I have been a loyal customer of Gym Box, Westfield for some years, as I like how it is a bit more upmarket than other gyms and I am happy to pay the higher Membership.  I have found the gym to be friendly by both staff and members, motivational atmosphere, great equipment and shower/ sauna facilities. I have never had a bad experience I have been paying £20 monthly for locker hire for 1 year, which may I add is the cost of a Pure Gym Membership. In this locker, I had £600 worth of items inside - brand new Adidas clothing with tags, trainers, toiletries, underwear, , weightlifting belt, weightlifting gloves, Cobra grips, supplements, etc some of which were items that I had just bought from Westfield. One day I went to the gym as normal and when I got to my locker, my padlock was cut open and all contents inside were missing. It turns out that the staff mistakenly cut open my locker. I was never notified about this until I found this myself. When I contacted the staff, I was told that it was an admin error, which meant they didn't add my locker to the list of permanent lockers. When I asked where my belongings were, they confirmed that they had given the items to charity. I'm not sure if this is entirely accurate, as there were a lot of sporting apparel inside my locker, but I can only go on what I am told by the staff members... I have asked to be compensated (in either a cash swap or additional free 12 months Membership) for my belongings, which totalled over £600 but they have refused and offered me three months membership. I find this utterly cheeky and does not reflect the value of the stolen items, whatsoever. This is less than half the value of my missing belongings. I am really upset that I am being treated like this and I do not feel like a valued member, considering I have been a loyal customer for some years. I have been completely understanding that a mistake was made, and I am only asking for them to rectify their own mistake. This back and forth has been ongoing since August, and it is now November with nothing more offered as compensation than a few months free membership which costs them nothing as it has no outlay or impact on overheads. I would love to have this resolved to my satisfaction as soon as possible as it has been ongoing for 3 months. I want to be able to train at the gym I love with no animosity and knowing that I am a valued member by the company.

The male employee was inside cleaning alone, and we tried to stay out of the way so he could clean the huge mess in our row. There were people in the other rows and he still cleaned their rows. As he left and more people came in, we realized he would not come back to clean our row. I went outside to ask another staff member if they could come in and clean the seat with chocolate smeared because we had to sit on it (it was a full house). She went and asked him and I overheard him say "well they came in early so I couldn't ask them to move so I could clean, so I'm not going in now because there's people there". The staff member came back to me and told us it was basically our fault for being there early and apparently "in the way". We didn't mind the mind the popcorn on the floor, but the seat was unable to be sat in. She told me we could move to the front, but those seats are priced at a lower cost than what we paid for. We just sucked it up and sat on a shopping bag, but I hope this employee never works a day in customer service ever again.
