I usually do not write about elected officials as a matter of personal policy, but my experiences…read morewith Bradley Hauge (the current state's attorney as of 2020) have been an interesting and uplifting experience that I feel is worth sharing. To sum this up: in the media, you constantly hear about what the public expects out of elected officials and how they fall short of those expectations. Bradley Hauge not only meets the expectations of what you would want from a state's attorney, but exceeds them. I originally called his office to ask a question about something, and I was treated horribly by one of his employees. The way the man had spoken to me made me believe that it was Mr. Hauge himself, and he was so rude that I originally wrote a scathing review over that experience. When Mr. Hauge found out about this, he requested to talk to me over the phone to discuss the matter. And that got my attention. When he called, it was obvious that he wasn't the employee I had spoken with. He immediately struck me as pleasant to speak with, and he not only apologized for the actions of his employee but ALSO TOOK RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS ACTIONS. Oh. My. Gawd. Look, I don't want to write a novel so I'm going to be blunt and sum this up: my own father was the state's attorney of White County, Illinois, from 1992 to 1996, and from childhood I've seen many state's attorneys come and go. I was an office manager for him for almost six years later as well. I've seen state's attorneys come and go; the point I'm trying to make is that I have spoken to a lot of government officials, attorneys, judges, etc. over the years and Mr. Hauge is the best one I've ever dealt with. He's earned this positive review from me, and he's earned an exception to my rule of not giving out reviews concerning elected officials (as I mentioned at the start of this review).

05/26/26 - Illinois State Capitol fitting review for a beautiful building (REVIEW 1,700). Today I…read morewent down to Springfield as part of a 10 bus 500 members group trying to start a union. By bringing these people just before the session convenes we're trying to get their attention & hopefully get something booked into legislation. As faith would have it we were in the William G Stratton building to talk to a few legislators prior to the meeting on 05/28/26 when they convene and vote. We were going to attempt to talk to a few when an alarm went off signifying a lockdown of the building. About 10 of us sheltered in place while security searched the building. Finally we were shuttled down the hall towards tunnel to the Capitol building. Unfortunately the alarm sounded around 11am and we had to shelter in place for about 1 hr while they searched the building. After the clearance was given we moved through an underground tunnel connecting the William G Stratton building to the Illinois State Capitol. By doing this we didn't need to leave the building & go through security again. When we came up out of the tunnel we were in the Illinois State Capitol Building. I've lived in Illinois almost my entire life. This was the first time I was ever in the Capitol Building. This is an impressive beautiful building w/a very ornate 3 story dome. When we came up to the third floor many of the 500 people that came up w/us from Chicago were milling around along w/other special interest groups trying to get the attention of the legislators before they entered the chambers. From what I understand they were voting on 05/28/2026 on a number of issues and these groups came hoping to win support for their groups The Capitol building is a very impressive structure w/a 3 story central dome that rises to 360 feet. Designed in the French Renaissance and Italianate styles, it was constructed between 1868 and 1888. I was very impressed by the attention to detail that was put into this magnificent structure. The attention to every detail in this central dome is amazing.

Becoming the seat of the legislature in 1876, this building is the 6th to serve as the capitol since Illinois was admitted to the U.S. in 1818. Built in the architectural styles of the French Renaissance & Italianate, it was designed by Cochrane and Garnsey, a Chicago architectural firm. Ground was broken for the new capitol structure in 1868, the building was completed 20 yrs later costing $4.5 million. It's 361 feet, the tallest non-skyscraper capitol structure in the US, even exceeding the height of the United States Capitol with its dome in Washington, D.C. The dome itself of the State Capitol in Springfield is 92.5 ft wide, & is supported by underground solid bedrock, 25.5 ft below the surface. The silver dome is majestic, Lincoln stands at the entrance & inside. We went through metal detectors & explored the capital. Inside all of the shades of marble are magnificent. The archways are finished with gold leaf. There were a lot of workmen cleaning and polishing but we didn't see any government workers

It looked as if the guards were non-verbally communicating with body language when I passed through the metal detectors. I have read both pick up artists books by Mystery. I have read The Game and Rules to the Game by Neil Strauss. I also paid $1000 for the Annihilation Method material Neil Strauss created. I have consumed and digested about 80% of it thus far. It consists of Books, DVD's, and audio seminars. I'm aware when people are winging for each other. The material isn't only for romantic relationships but rather for all forms of communication. Anyways I didn't have any metal on me. I put what metal I had in the tote on the conveyor belt. The second, tall guard, wanded me. I turned around to look at the brand of the metal detector. It was a Garrett. I asked him when the last time it was calibrated by using the specific manufacture and model name. All scientific instruments have to be frequently calibrated to be admissible in court. He told me that information was above his pay grade. I looked him dead in the face and said nothing is above your pay grade if you're willing to learn, that's just an excuse. He broke eye contact in an insecure manner. His saccades were incongruent with what he was saying. His pupils were very tiny. Most places now use thermal imaging cameras and communication devices to alert the guards if a person has a weapon. It is my opinion their behavior was meant to be harassing and to force compliance. I recommend everyone read the 33 Strategies of War by Robert Greene. Books on NLP will also help a person recognize when they are being lied to and the method to these guards madness. I hope the guards learn to be more respectful. They deserve to have the proprietary knowledge above their pay grade for the sake of our community members. I'm going to go back sometime to write down the make and model of the metal detector. I intend to file a complaint to Garret. Hopefully the courthouse gets charged a hefty 5 figure maintenance fee to make sure the metal detectors are functioning properly for the sake of our community members. Also to make sure our tax dollars are being used properly in accordance with the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Act. We know what is going on and we will NOT tolerate it. We will use science to defend ourselves from tyrannical authority if necessary. It helps I did biochemistry scientific research in my undergraduate. Y'all should see my resume. I bet the authorities there couldn't even pronounce the makes and models of the instruments I've listed on my resume that I'm proficient with. Have a nice day and thank you for reading. May the community be a better, safer, and more just place.
