The property is very old to begin with but it was well kept up with until Dweck acquired the contract. At that point the steep dive in customer service and quality was immediately noticeable, not to mention the constant price gouging and less than stellar communication. The move out became a no brainer after my license plates were stolen in broad daylight. No one cleans up after their dogs and the entire complex smells like a "Grateful Dead Concert" even though they are a "smoke free" community. The grounds have had no real upkeep the entire time I was there. The driveways desperately need repaving, the buildings need new paint, the decks are old and falling apart. Unfortunately, they can not deliver the level of service they charge for and will gouge you every step of the way. Now, I know picking an agent is a very personal choice (you either click with the person, or you don't), I have to say compared to the other companies I worked with, this place gets everything right. My agent, James Grant was excellent to work with. He was patient, energetic and showed me probably 10 houses/condos before I found the one I submitted an offer on. (Note: If your agent gets exasperated with you for not choosing a property quickly, leave them - you SHOULD be a little picky since you'll be living there every day!) In each location, he helped me walk through the pros and cons of the property, and not once did he try to talk me into something I was hesitant about. My prior agent kept trying to talk me into various properties, saying things like, "You should live here if you know what's best for you." (Ridiculous) Once I found the property, James and his team worked very quickly to help me draft and submit an offer. As in, it was 9pm on a Sunday night and I was signing papers at the real estate office. The very next day, my offer was accepted and once again, this team helped me through the entire closing process. Penelope walked me through the entire process with a neat and organized email that gave me a very helpful checklist to work through. Alana (who wasn't even my agent!) came to the inspection and gave me lots of tips on things to look for and questions to ask the home inspector. Her advice was invaluable for a first-time home buyer.
