Sauce or something nasty that was on the baby diaper too and a fork and straw rapper.

May 19, this past Monday, my daughters and I went to Logan's for a belated Mother's Day lunch. No one was at the door when we first got there so we had to wait for a while for someone to see us and they were not busy. They don't have enough workers evidently. We were seated at a table that was so wobbly there would have been no way for us to sit and eat at that table so we asked to be moved. They knew that the table was bad. The table that they put us at seemed OK and our waitress came and took our order and she was very pleasant. She was extremely nice and very helpful. She went and got me a gluten-free menu. The experience with her was great. However, had we not ordered before I saw what was on the floor or under underneath the table by my feet we would have left There was a dirty baby diaper by my foot. There was a fork on the floor, straw paper and napkins. The table top had been cleaned because I watched the girl clean it, but the floor was nasty and the diaper is just horrible that nobody knew it was there but us . I would not go back to this location because of this. It was pretty disgusting. I have a video.

I stopped by here for lunch one day since Logan's is one of my family's fav places to eat. It wasn't crowded at first but people definitely piled on in over the course of an hour. I tried the grilled pork chops with mashed potatoes and green beans. I was disappointed to see the green beans look like the came from a can and they were too salty, but everything else was decent. My waitress was awesome, she kept my drink filled and checked on me often. I'll likely try something else next time I visit but Logan's is still an ol faithful dining option in my book.

Food was delicious. We had beer battered fish, loaded baked potatoe, caesar salad, chicken tenders, loaded baked potato, and garden salad. Manager surprised Hubby with a birthday desert brownie with fudge and ice cream. Server Jennifer was phenomenal while juggling several tables. Keep Up The Good Work Logan's Fultondale. We'll be back soon.

Terrible service got there right before 9pm and was told a 20 minute wait once sat, the sever walked passed us several times before acknowledging the table. It took her approximately 15 minutes to bring us waters! No silverware no plates. We went ahead and placed our orders due to the lack of service and also asked for bread. The server proceeded to get 2 other tables bread before we had to flag a manager down and explain our issue only for her to tell us she was short staffed with a restaurant full of customers . Even them then the server didn't return to the table. At this point it was past closing time and still haven't received our food ! Once food was received it was cold ! Highly disappointed terrible service will not be returning !

This isn't the fun place it used to be. But the food was good and service friendly My sister and I discovered eating in Irondale instead of Hoover where we live equals getting a table faster We don't like chains but it's easier with children The goal these days is to get everyone fed and happy Food came out fresh and in a timely manner Best part was getting seated as soon as we arrived on a Friday night This is unheard of in Hoover

The baked beans are very flavorful and delicious too. I usually order the bone-in ribs, but you never know what you're gonna get. Sometimes they're meatier and juicier; other times they're cooked more, with a burnt-like skin. I personally like a little fat on mine, and those portions often lack that. But then come the onion rings. Oh my. I tried them today, and they were wonderful. Some Yelpers complained you don't get many. Well, I had to bag some up because I couldn't finish them alongside my other sides. These are not rings -- these are onion wreaths. Huge slices, made in-house, with a breading so good it should be illegal. I will definitely order them again, and I recommend others risk the carb coma. In fact, I bagged up most of my other sides too. It was a lot of food for one sitting. I felt like a bear preparing for hibernation. My husband commented that Memphis is known for barbecue, but Alabama has some great places too. Full Moon Barbeque is a prime example. Oh, and if you want to sample something on the menu, they're happy to oblige. I wasn't sure about an item, so they let me try it - much better than ordering a full portion and being disappointed. Honestly, I don't think you'll be dissatisfied with anything on the menu. The service here is excellent. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and mannerly. They genuinely want to make sure you enjoy your food. They check on you without hovering, and they seem to actually care about your experience, not just turning tables. It's the kind of service that makes you want to come back. One more thing: if you want authentic Southern sweet tea, order it here. It's mouthwatering -- literally. The kind of sweet tea that makes your eyes close for a second after the first sip. Add a lemon slice, and you'll want more even after you've quenched your thirst.

For some reason, they insist on playing Fox News on the TVs, and it completely changes the vibe of what should be a relaxed dining experience. These are my favorite kind of places in the world. From the moment I walked up and saw the big piles of wood outside I knew I was probably going to like this place. We had an amazing meal here. Every single bite was good. I ate myself damn near sick! I cannot wait to come back!! The day we were there the bartender was waiting on the whole place himself with just someone helping him run food and clear tables. We only had an hour before we had to be at an appointment, so when we sat down at the bar I got concerned that we would not have time to eat here. He was busy. He seemed behind. Thank goodness I was wrong. Once he finally got to us we were decided on our meals. He took our order on his little handheld register thing, grabbed our tasty beverages, and poof, off he went. C had the pulled chicken sandwich with deviled eggs and I had pulled pork, smoked chicken thighs, beans, and a giant pile of pork rinds. Holy shit it was good!!! I didn't pay attention to the fact that my thighs had AL white sauce on them until well after I had ordered. Had I know that, I would not have ordered them. I despise all things that have anything to do with mayonnaise. But.... Had I known, I would have never known. I fucking loved it! I could have eaten 10 of them. There were hands down the best smoked chicken that I have ever had. The pork was bad ass too! I dare say perfect. Beans were great, and the pork rinds side was massive and still warm from the fryer with a killer seasoning on them. There are not enough adjectives to describe this food. I am in love. The interior was refreshingly classic but current, making good use of an elongated and narrow space. The partially open kitchen increases interest, but I was sitting with my back to it, which spared my lunch companion from competing for my attention. Our server Krynn was perfectly kind, prompt, and pleasing, genuinely welcoming to us and knowledgeable of the dishes. She was so very sweet and one of the best servers I have encountered in Alabama. The food was very thoughtfully prepared. We ordered Tuesday's lunch special, the fried green tomato BLT. We were impressed that the bacon is cured on site and cut the same day it is fried and served. The sandwich was so large that we easily split it. The tomatoes were good. I prefer lettuce in leaves, not shreds, but it didn't detract much from the experience and it didn't fall out everywhere. The sandwich came with chips which seemed homemade and were very good, not soggy. I added salt which was brought in a little wooden pinch bowl. For a side we split a plate of marinated summer peas and beans. This was baby lima beans and black eyed peas, with a very small amount of finely diced red onion and red bell pepper. There was a copious amount of cilantro that was not finely chopped and dominated certain mouthfuls. I would adjust this recipe by using a few more pinches of red onions and bell peppers, and finely chopping the cilantro and using less of it. It was very flavorful! I thought my SIL might still be hungry so we got a cheesecake slice at the end. It presented beautifully and was covered in a blueberry syrup. The texture was a bit ragged but it isn't any worse than one I'd make at home. I also felt the lemon flavor was a bit overly strong, and the crust appeared to be cornmeal based and wasn't my favorite, but that's just my preference. I feel that smokers or people with few taste buds would still be able to taste the food at Helen! I also ordered a cup of black regular coffee and it was truly delightful, no adjustments to that flavor needed in my opinion! We were attended by a couple other servers and everyone was polite and sweet. I felt very relaxed and as if I were valued as a customer. I hope Krynn has many sweet customers who appreciate how nice she is! I hope to be back someday and would definitely recommend Helen restaurant.

When I drove by at 10am on a weekday and saw a line of at least 7 cars snaking through their drive-thru, I knew this place had to be worth a look! The Pit has been at this location for about 38 years! There's no seating inside, but you can enter and place and pickup orders. If you call in an order, you must come inside and cannot pick it up through the drive-thru. Their menu is nailed to the wall where you speak into a speaker to place your order. Then you drive around to the pickup/pay window. There's always 2 lines for prices. Cash and Card. So there's a discount if you pay with cash. They are only open for breakfast and lunch until 2pm. The have a standard breakfast which includes plates and omelettes cooked with every combination of egg, cheese, sausage, bologna, sausage or ham. Their lunch menu includes sandwiches and plates. They have two desserts: pecan pie and fried apple pie. Sides are crinkle fries, slaw and baked beans. So not an extensive menu, but comprehensive. Honestly I had wanted to try a breakfast item, but it was past 10am so I opted for the two meat combo of smoked sausage and bbq pork with slaw and baked beans. I also two toasted and buttered sides of a hamburger bun. I got 2 links of sausage with the link being about 4 inches long. Each link was sliced right down the middle so it looked like I had 4 pieces of sausage. The sausage were delicious. When they say their bbq pork is shredded, they mean it. I really liked how all the pork is shredded and there's no random large chunks. That's just me. Others probably prefer chunks. The shredded pork was tender, but the kicker is of course the sauce. I'm not a bbq connoisseur, but I liked their sauce. It was thick, dark, had a wonderful smoky, sweet and tart! Yom Yom Yom Yom. The baked beans was on point and I can easily tell their slaw was made that yesterday if not that morning. They make a mayo based slaw which I prefer and it was outstanding! Chilled just right! Yom Yom Yom Yom. The 2 toasted sides of hamburger buns were kinda corny but acceptable. I would've preferred 2 regular slices of white bread. The Pit is a typical hole in the wall that knows how to serve good ole southern comfort food. In 38 years they have figured out what works for them and their fans (who probably eat there at least once a week) and they stick to it. I may find myself going back to this corner of downtown to go through their drive-thru sooner than I think.

I'm unsure what the current cost is for the deck, but it's worth knowing if you're visiting during a busier time. I ordered the fish tacos with black beans and chose the cheese grits as my second side. Everything tasted fresh and had lots of flavor. The real star of the meal, though, was the sweet potato cake. It was incredibly moist and delicious. Honestly, I could've eaten four of them without shame or hesitation. My colleagues ordered burgers and fries. They both really enjoyed their burgers, but neither cared much for the fries. They had also requested a couple additional items after the food arrived, but those items never made it to the table. The decor is bright and fun, though it didn't quite seem to match the style of food being served. Just my personal observation. They also have a robot that helps deliver the food alongside the servers, which felt a little unexpected for the casual atmosphere and southern comfort food vibe. They were fairly busy since it was lunchtime on a Friday, but the wait really wasn't bad at all. Would I go back? Yes. Was it my absolute favorite? No. But there were definitely things I enjoyed, especially that sweet potato cake that nearly made me consider ordering dessert first next time.

The hot chicken sandwich itself wasn't overwhelmingly spicy, but it was finger-licking good -- juicy, well-seasoned, and satisfying down to the last crumb. We truly enjoyed every bite. The ambience with its bright green, purple and white colors added to the experience. The restaurant was lively and full of people, which is always a good sign. I also caught glimpses of other patrons' dishes, and everything coming out of the kitchen looked just as delicious as what we ordered. Service was friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. Staff members seemed genuinely happy to be there and kept things moving smoothly. The location is right in the heart of downtown Bhama, so parking is metered street parking, but the prices were reasonable and worth it for the quality and uniqueness of the food. Overall, this spot delivered on food, atmosphere, and service. Big thumbs up from me -- I'll definitely be back!
