I've always heard great things about Lolo Kai but haven't tried them myself since no longer living on the island. Today I was in a pinch & used Waitr to order to go from them... just how sweet/cute! Everything was amazing & delicious! I got the Asian Chicken Avo wrap & Island Passion with coconut water. All delicious!! So refreshing and soooo yummy! I went here once on a beach day trip with my best friend a while ago, and I've been waiting to come back. I still think about how good the acai bowls are here, and the chicken caesar wrap also surprised me in the best way. I didn't expect it to taste THAT good. Granted I was starving though...The inside of Lolo Kai is really clean and cute with it's decor, furniture, and wall art, which made my experience just sitting there to rest after a long day all the better. My best friend and I got some cute, impromptu pics (a must haha). The staff person at the counter was also really sweet. He was super helpful and happy, and his positivity was contagious. Since Lolo Kai is along the street of other quaint, picturesque Galveston businesses, we parked along the nearby street. A spot wasn't super hard to find though. I had some time to kill before a Yelp Elite Event in Galveston and I was looking for a smoothie. I found Lolo Kai on Yelp and they are conveniently located within walking distance from my event. Lolo Kai is a tropical juice and smoothie bar on The Strand. They don't have a parking lot so I ended up paying for parking on the street. Like many parts of Houston, there is metered parking that becomes free after 6 PM. I love everything that has a Hawaii theme so Lolo Kai didn't disappoint. They have a nice selection of smoothies, many with a tropical twist. There are two sizes (16 oz. and 24 oz.) and I opted for the larger one. I forget the name of my smoothie but it was a good one! They also have acai bowls which I would've tried had I not been saving my appetite for the Yelp Elite event. Lolo Kai is also a cool place to chill. They have free WiFi and a decent amount of seating for a small juice bar. I ended up sitting in a little nook, with pillows with pineapple designs as support as I leaned on the wall. Pineapple is my favorite fruit and strangely enough, I was wearing a shirt with a pineapple on it. I guess it was meant to be. The people working there were friendly and the cashier asked how my day was going. Lolo Kai is one of the few juice and smoothie bars in the area and it's a great one! read more

Lolo Kai is probably my #1 go-to place on the island. The smoothies, wraps and fruit bowls are fresh and healthy, perfect for hot days (which we have a LOT of). During busy lunch rushes, service is still fairly fast, and even faster if I call in ahead of time. The employees are always bright and friendly, and the atmosphere is refreshing and cozy, which isn't a common combination on the island. I can't recommend them enough. I wanted to like Lolo Kai. I really really did. But my 24 oz Maui smoothie was simply bland. Instead of tasting passion fruit and mango (as advertised), my smoothie was icy and flavorless. The interior is very cute and spacious. There are several seating options and little folding tables for people studying. It's in a great location, the smoothies just need more flavor! They also offer acai bowls and salads/wraps. I might be back to try a bowl (since I work within walking distance), but I don't have high expectations. read more

Lolo Kai has always been the place I stop by when I want to treat myself to something good, but not too expensive. They offer a variety of wraps and bowls and smoothies, all of which are made with fresh ingredients. The Asian chicken avo wrap is a favorite of mine. As for smoothies, I've had many and all of them have been great. They recently moved into a new space on the Strand with more tables, and a few cute nooks. The only place I get fresh pitaya smoothies in Galveston. I stumbled here by chance and I've been hooked since. I usually get the pitaya smoothie and not the bowl. This time I got the bowl and it was refreshing. I usually call ahead so I can come in and out quickly since I come during my lunch breaks. On our trip to Galveston last weekend we found this amazing smoothie bowl shop. SO GOOD! I had the Sunrise Bowl and my 5 year old daughter had the Peach Smoothie. It was so good that we had to stop in again to get smoothie bowls as we were leaving the island to head home. When we did, my daughter accidentally left her very beloved stuffed Lamb, "Lamby" on their window sill. We didn't realize until after driving the 3 hours home and unloading the car. After frantically calling them 5 minutes before closing, right before July 4th weekend, we got ahold of the owner who was so incredibly kind! Not only did they ship Lamby back right away but they included this sweet homemade book detailing Lamby's "travels". Our daughter was ECSTATIC when Lamby was delivered and we read her the sweet story about Lamby's extended stay in Galveston. I can't imagine another trip to Galveston that doesn't include at least one trip to Lolo Kai. If you are visiting, be sure to stop by this amazing smoothie shop! The food was great, I came here while on a three day vacation to Galveston and liked the experience it so much I came twice. My first time I got a Caesar salad, although it was good, I was disappointed that they used mozzarella, not parmesan and the dressing was more acidic than I would have liked. I also got a Colada smoothie with kale and ginger which was very good. (You can make any smoothie a green smoothie by adding either kale or spinach, although the menu does not say this.) I came back the next day and got a Sunrise bowl without granola, my only complaint is that there was still skin on the kiwi pieces. The staff were very friendly. The bathroom was clean, I found the signs in the bathroom very funny. There was a lack of indoor seating due to the space being on the small side, so the first time I was there I had to sit out side in the hot Texas heat. But fortunately the second time I went there there was a table open. I would definitely recommend Lolo Kai. read more

It's in an old house and they didn't try to make it look modern, which I love. It's nice inside but you can tell it's older. It's pretty small. When you walk in there's a staircase, but it's employees only (I think maybe they live up there). There's a little bathroom under the stairs, which was very clean. There's only one table inside, but there's lots of seating outside on the porch. Through a sliding door to the left is where you order. The owners were very nice and helpful. They were nice about answering my questions. They also gave me a punch card. They made my acai bowl fresh and it was very tasty and pretty. I got the Maui bowl, which is an acai bowl base and they top it with granola, bananas, strawberries and kiwi. They have a pretty big smoothie menu and they also have wraps, chips and kind bars for sale. Glad they gave me the punch card, since I'll be returning! read more

This was my first acai bowl experience and I'm so thankful because Lolo Kai does it right!! My boyfriend and I stayed in galvy for the weekend and came here for brunch and split a Maui bowl and chicken Caesar wrap--he liked the bowl so much he got up and ordered his own! And then the next day we came back to eat lunch here before we left to go home! I'm obsessed now and just sad there aren't any comparable spots to get a bowl near me.
