We headed to this Cafe because of the reviews. We walked right in and was seated right away. Our waitress didn't initially greet us but she kept things moving and shaking. The food came out quit. The omlet and burrito was soooo good and hot Potatoes were good but luke warm. I didn't like the pancake at all. There was no fluffy to them. The prices were amazing!!! I would definitely go back!
Second time here. Nice family owned neighborhood Breakfast/Lunch Cafe. Good for a casual breakfast. My first time here I ordered the Chicken & Waffle breakfast with sauce on the side. House made fried chicken breast in a light batter was nice. Waffles were ok. This tone around I ordered the Iron Man Omelet. 3 egg whites, spinach, red peppers, and pancake for my choice of side. Also ordered extra side of turkey sausage. Omelet was a bit salty in parts... next time I'll ask for no added salt. Turkey sausage was good, and I liked the single side pancake... nice and fluffy center with a light crust from the pan. My Mom likes to order the London Breakfast...2 eggs any style with potato hash, choice of protein, and toast or pancake. Very friendly family. The owner/Chef always comes by to check on us to make sure everything was ok. It can get a bit noisy and chaotic in the restaurant at times when they are busy. Overall, solid egg breakfast choices, pancakes, crepes, waffles, etc as well as lunch items like salads, sandwiches, etc. Good value.
What a nice find! A bit out of the way located in the far West side of town on HWY 6 but worth the drive or if you are near the area and haven't tried it do yourself a favor and give it a shot. The food and service are great. The layout and ambiance gives small town diner and the food is from scratch. The owner / chef came around multiple times to check on us and surrounding tables. It was clear they had their regulars which is a good sign. It may be a bit too far for us to be regulars but we will definitely be coming back to this place from time to time.
It's a fairly small place and packed for breakfast. Best creps I've ever had - the ends were a bit crispy and really just accented the rest of the great taste and texture. You can probably split them if you wanted, but I decided to devour them. The apple maple bacon was honestly a bit disappointing. Perhaps I was expecting more, but to me it wasn't any better than "normal bacon" Food did take awhile to get. We did have 7 at our table. Service was effective and efficient. It was fairly loud give how small and crowded it was. I do recommend.
Located across the street from west oaks in the parking lot near bestbuy is this gem. I attended on a Saturday morning and the place had a decent amount of patrons. The severance very attentive and speedy in their service. It seems to be run like a family restaurant and everyone seems happy to be there. The food was a 10 and the cook even came out to assure everyone was pleased. This is a must return when in the SW.
I came for brunch with my cousins. It was very nice and the staffs were very friendly, we even got visited by either the chef or owner who asked if everything was good. I got the country breakfast (12.99$) and cappuccino (6.50$). The left is becado and the other 2 is Houston breakfast. It was nice brunch and great portions.
I was looking for a quick breakfast so as always Yelp to my rescue. The reviews were mixed but the star rating seemed high enough, so I stopped in. I came here for the first time on a Sunday midday with 2 others. Showed up with no resy. There was a wait list on the counter top at the front with one name on it already for a group of 6. No one was at the hostess counter. Staff were busy bussin tables, nobody even looked up. The table of 6 was waiting at the entrance with us. But after we put our name on the list, some older gentlemen with a British accent got up from his table and told us to come and sit down. We told him we were waiting to be seated, but he insisted and sort of pushed us gently towards to the table, so we obliged. We asked if he worked there and he said "something like that". I don't know if he was the owner or just a long standing customer. But he was kind to give up his table for strangers. The place is quaint. It was busy with large groups, one of them was at least a 10+ table. And for that, I can understand the not so great service. Service- was rocky. Mostly looked like a 20 year old staff. Which I have no issue with for the record. I'm not ageist. Plus a couple of older gentlemen in the small kitchen in the back. The staff definitely seemed like they were in the weeds, zipping all over the place, but no one seemed in charge or expediting or managing the floor? Everyone looked like they were scrambling to deliver food to tables. It took us a while to get the table cleaned, then the menus, and even longer to get food. Which the food order did come out a bit mixed up. Our server told us immediately when we first sat down that she just started working there and was brand new. And had not had much of the food. And that's ok, everyone is new at something at some point. But the issuss came with us having to ask multi times to multi staff to get utensils, coffee, missing items from our order. Then the wrong food came out. Plus we never got offered water, and the food wasn't hot. Food- I ordered the Houston Breakfast, comes with egg, protein, and a carb. I went with sunny side up eggs, turkey sausage, and single pancake. At least I thought it was turkey sausage, but to be honest I don't know if it was regular sausage. I guess it automatically comes with hashbrowns? Food was fine, I've had better diner food. The only silver lining of the meal, they did not charge us for our coffee just the food. I don't know if that was just an error on there part on the receipt or there normal restaurant practice. So maybe it all just evened out in the end?
We were visiting Houston again and were looking for a good place for some yummy breakfast/brunch, and stumbled across London Cafe. I think we got lucky too as such places ....at least where we are from....are always packed, with long lines out the door, and long waiting lists. However, we seemed to have come at a good time as the place was not crowded at all, with no wait. The place is a good sized restaurant, with very spacious interior with high ceilings, has a simple yet pleasant decor, and has a nice and relaxing vibe to it. Service was so nice, down to earth, friendly, and polite....and the owner even took the time out fo the kitchen to stop by to say hi and to check up on us. We later learned that this is a family owned and run business. Their menu is long and extensive, and yes, you will have trouble choosing what yummy dish to order. After reading through the menu completely, we went ahead and ordered the Chicken & Waffles with gravy on the side, the London benedict with a fruit cup on the side (fyi, my order), and the Houston Breakfast with scramble eggs, bacon, and link sausage.....all the breakfasts came with their hasbrown potatoes that were tossed with what I can best describe homestyle potatoes....and instead of toast, a single pancake was requested. All the condiments you could ever need or want is available on the table, and you can make everything taste just the way you like it. Ingredients were all so fresh, food was all prepared and served hot off the griddle, and in such generaous portions....and came out real quick too. Everybody enjoyed their breakfasts very much.....and were quite stuffed by the end of it all. Excellent, friendly, and attentive service, pleasant and quiet ambiance (at least when we were there), and very good food. My mother said that she liked this place so much that she was going to bring her friends here too! As for me.....I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town.
My friend and I went here for breakfast and a Monday morning. I want something small so I went with the Houston breakfast and had one pancake with it. The pancake was really good. It had a nice edge crisp to it, but it softened if you leave it alone overtime. The potatoes are both hashed and chunk up. The chicken apple sausages and eggs were typical. If you want more flavor or salt, there are a small tray of sauces on your table. The owner was very sweet and checked on us to make sure that we were doing well . The place is very clean and there are a lot of plant related decorations around the room. Parking is free and out front.
I love finding places like these. Holes in the wall, locally owned businesses, with great food and great service. It is a family owned and operated business. It's great to see families work together and businesses like these around. Food was great, fast, and fresh. Out ranks any chain brunch place. Will be back. Also, loved the variety of selections.
This is one place that I had been looking forward to try and it fell a little short. The hours on here need to be updated & I did communicate to the manager who was extremely nice. I opted for the BLTA & French fries. The bacon was too tough and sandwiched didn't hold together very well. The fries tasted like it was time for oil to be changed. What was not the best experience was when the server came to take my order and brought the food, he smelled like he had just finished his cigarette breaks. Lol I will try to make my way there again and see how that goes.

I really wasn't sure what to expect when coming here, but instantly fell in love with this place. London Cafe is a little mom and pop shop off of Westheimer that serves up a great breakfast/lunch menu that can rival many other brunch places. I loved how unsuspecting it was, without much fanfare or need to try to be something that it's not. They had a great selection of breakfast, from your more traditional eggs and toast type of breakfasts, to healthier avocado toasts selections, as well as indulgent crepes and French toast options. It's great that they had a bit of everything for everyone. I opted to try the garden veggie skillet, which was fantastic. First off, the portion was pretty large! I split this dish with another person, and it was perfect. It comes with sautéed veggies, cheese, and hashbrowns topped with 2 eggs your way. It also comes with a side of either pancakes or biscuits. I opted for the pancakes, and it did not disappoint! The hash was filling and flavorful without feeling too heavy. The pancakes were light and fluffy and I love the plethora of condiments at your table that you could freely use! On top of this tasting great and having a good portion size, this was a great value! I think our skillet was under $15. A filling meal for 2 people with a very affordable price tag! The service overall was pretty great and food came out quickly. Bacado omelet is amazing, the flavor combination of the velvety avocado and the salty smoky bacon just knocks my socks off. The hash-browns are the best I have had in a decade. The captain crunch french toast is totally worth it. It is more great french toast with some crunch and pebbles but with a mountain of fresh fruit on top. The cereal makes the fruit taste completely different and amazing. Coffee was so so so great. Service was genuinely delightful. read more

What a pleasant surprise! Located in a rough part of highway 6 and in the same building center as Swamp Kingz, London Cafe shows us the power of a honest mom and pop shop that serves no fanfare brunch/lunch foods. Walking in you'll see wide open spaces and adequate amounts of seating. I thought it could have been closer and less muggy in the air, but overall good dining experience. We ordered the Veggie Skillet and was very impressed at the speed and sheer amount that is in this entree. It was enough to feed two people! It was loaded with hashbrows and assorted veggies, with a very nicely done cheese and two eggs on top. Also you get a pancake on the side. Lots of food for $13.50 which is pretty decent for prices these days. My favorite part is the large island of table condiments as show in my picture. I absolutely love all sauces when it comes to brunch! London cafe is a great place for breakfast and lunch affairs. I just wish the place wasn't so humid or had nappy tables. Wow! Wow! WOW!! We absolutely loved this place. We ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast and fruit explosion french toast. Everything was made to perfection. Great flavor, good portion size, and customer service was exceptional. We are so happy that it is close to our house and we shall return. I met Alex and he was so kind. Happy holidays, London Café. The outside doesn't look like much but omgggg the food WAS SO GOOD! Service was even better (especially when the chef/owner came up to us and asked us about the food and gave us a blessing for coming in!) I love the variety in the menu. There was a captain crunch French toast that I'm definitely coming back for. There's also lunch and the burger someone ordered next to us looked pretty good too. My absolute favorite was the crepes. They stole my heart along with the rest of the ambience (family pictures framed all around) and service. 20/10 recommended. read more
I was visiting great friend Lizzie, who just moved to Texas. The family and I met up at this restaurant for breakfast one morning. The place was pretty big indoors, and the server was very polite. There was a group of 7 and one small toddler, which was surprisingly accommodating indoors. We all ordered different plates for breakfast, I ordered the Bacado spinach and bacon omelet which I was not to pleased with because the bacon was inside in small pieces and I thought it would be served on the side. Everyone else was pleased with their dish. Our little niece was happy with her fruits. I think if you're bringing a large group of friends for breakfast, this would be a great location. They are very nice and the food is served hot and quickly. read more

We really enjoyed our visit at London Cafe! The owner took our order & food came out at a reasonable time. Our eyes about popped out of our heads when we saw the portions, such big full plates! The food is so fresh! I ordered the veggie skillet, it was loaded with fresh veggies, definitely not frozen or canned, just so delicious! My son ordered the banana Nutella crepes; he was delivered 3 large crepes, he was ecstatic! We will be back for sure! read more

Was looking for a place for a late breakfast and decided to try this place out. It is not a big place but it is very popular. When we left the line was out the door. As for the food....by far the pancakes are what everyone comes for. I ordered steak and eggs, with butter Grits, and a pancake. I had fresh Orange juice, and it is fresh and so so good!!!!!! I ordered my steak medium and it was medium rare. If you order the butter Grits get the butter on the side because they will be very runny. The eggs were ok. I will go back to try something else. The service was great!!! The server was attentive and very accommodating. So yes I would recommend having breakfast here. You should call ahead or get on the waitlist. read more

GOOD FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE! The food was amazing!! I went for Sunday brunch and for being such a good place it wasn't crowded or had a wait whatsoever. The food was delicious and well seasoned! What takes this place so far is the service!! I unfortunately don't remember anyone's name but the hostess was such a pretty young brunette, she was so kind and you can just tell it's who she is without trying! Our server was also a nice brunette younger guy, who was really attentive and helped us figure out how to sub things in our dish. Not sure if it was the owner or the chef but he came out and was also very attentive and sweet and just greatful for business. Even gave me a hug and just gave genuinely humble dad vibes. Loved the place, will absolutely be back and think everyone should! read more

In Houston for a conference, stumbled upon this cute breakfast Cafe. Staff were extremely nice and welcoming. I got apple juice & the huevos rancheros (: really hit the spot. It was just heavy enough to fill me until dinner time and did not feel like I needed a immediate nap right after. The portion was just right, especially if you are not a breakfast person. There menu had many different choices to choose from, pricing was fair. Highly recommend! read more

Visited with the wife for the 1st time discovering this absolute GEM of an establishment. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we came to have breakfast with Alex and his family in their home. Absolutely loved the welcoming ambience, the respectful and attentive service from the siblings, and the quality of the food was absolutely delicious and fair for the price. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful and you can taste the love and passion Alex puts into his food for each of his guests, as if we were all his family he was cooking for. Alex came out to greet and thank us for coming multiple times. The entire experience, from the music, to interacting with the family, to the flavor and satisfaction of the food, was super humbling and refreshing. As grateful as Alex was for us to eat here, we were just as grateful to find our new go to place for breakfast. It's extremely rare to find establishments like this that really matter and leaves a lasting memory and experience where you can't help but want to come back as soon as we can. Will definitely share and spread the word about London Cafe to all our family and friends. Thank you to Alex and family for an absolutely memorable experience. read more

Sunday, September 2023 @about 1pm Parking is plentiful The atmosphere is inviting The service is welcoming. The chef is hands on (literally) he thanked us multiple times and gave hugs. I'm not a hugger nor do I like ppl touching me but I made an exception for him. He seemed genuinely happy that we visited his restaurant. The food was spectacular! By no stretch of the imagination should I be considered a good critic. I generally eat everything so you'll have to take my food portion of this review at your own risk. I ordered the London breakfast (more protein options) and I wasn't disappointed. It's not often I have a take away container but whew... That wasn't the case this time. The food was hearty, tasty, and filling. My girl enjoyed her Migas plate and needed a to go plate. The ambiance is to resemble London influence hence the name. Everyone is made to feel welcomed and I was that. I can't remember my servers name but she was sweet and helpful. I will be back read more

How anyone would give this place less than 5 stars is beyond me. Went early this morning for a solo breakfast and it was fantastic! From the food, to the service everyone was friendly, accommodating, and the meal came out perfect within a timely manner. And the owner is very very kind, you can tell he cares about his customer's experience and his restaurant in general. I'll definitely be back! read more
Pretty disappointed in this place. The shabby tables need to be rotated to the back of the restaurant. The dish that I ordered the eggs were cooked to a crisp on the bottom, the pancake was dry and not fluffy, the hash browns were undercooked and greasy. The staff on the other hand were excellent! The girl who helped us was extremely kind and attentive and professional. Pricing was on par for what we received. Can't say that I will bother to come back though. We popped in here while waiting for a store to open. It gave family owned and operated, it gave perfect spot to be a regular, it gave attentive p0service that wasn't over bearing or intrusive. Food wise..... if I had to find something to suggest.... cut the broccoli up more in the scramble and don't sub walnuts for pecans if you don't have any. Bae said her o ly thing was her chicken sausage was too soft for her liking..next time she'd get it crispy. The pancakes were sooooo fluffy and melt in your mouth good. My scramble was so fresh and my eggs were made perfectly. Our lemonade were watered down...that sucked but all in all we enjoyed our experience. read more

This is my first visit. Love it! The serving portions here are HUGE & delicious! Bacardo Omelet $14.99 & Migas (Chef's Special) $13.99 and I had to leave some for lunch as leftovers. This place is clean and family owned. They are super friendly here and I would recommend on coming back! read more

London Cafe is by the best food I have had the pleasure to enjoy in 6 months. The service is beyond incredible and the chef comes by to see if you are satisfied with your meal. I love that because he takes pride in his work. Don't miss out the have THE BEST FREAKING CREPES I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! The chicken fried steak, to die for!!! ANY SERVICE!!! The whole hog bowl will leave you super full but wanting more crepes, because they are like dessert!! read more

Well! This was first time visiting this establishment. I was greeted and seated by one of the owner's son. It's a family business. I used the restroom, it was clean and stocked with supplies. I ordered the Houston breakfast! I was delicious and great portion sizes. Finally, the owner came out and greeted me. I told him I came because of the Yelp reviews and it didn't disappoint! I hardly leave reviews but this place deserves a great one! We are visiting from San Antonio & were looking for brunch, found this place on Yelp & walked in, immediately greeted and seated. The place was very clean & nice cool air. We had one server take our order, drinks & another server that checked on us, got our ticket and such. Both so friendly, quick & helpful! The food is so delicious & filling, nice presentation & super good quality. The price is also good & inexpensive. The chef came out & introduced himself & thanked us for coming in, which was so sweet & I was very impressed!! As we were leaving the staff all said bye & thanked us. Honestly I've never had a better experience at a restaurant like this one. Will definitely visit again & recommend to family & friends! Amazing staff, service & food!! read more
When I first stepped into the cafe, I already have a good impression of it because it is clean and neatly decorated. I ordered the Belgian waffle and the kids breakfast. The Belgian waffle is very yummy. The kids breakfast's pancake has the choice of adding fruits, chocolate chips, and banana. I asked for all the toppings and was surprised that the banana was actually in the pancake, not as a side like the berries and chocolate chips. The pancake was very delicious. Absolutely love London Cafe and would visit again! P.S. don't throw away your receipt after payment. Bottom of the receipt stated "Return with 7 days for discount", 10% or 20% depending on the time of visit. read more

This review is way over due as we visited back in January but this place definitely deserves a review. I was visiting out of state when I googled coffee near by and found London Cafe. The menu was easy to understand and had various options. I cant remember what I ordered but I remember it was delicious and fresh. It was also plated very nicely and our side of fruit came in a heart shaped plate which I found super cute. Place is clean and the service was fantastic too! At some point the chef checked in to see how everything was. Will be going back in my next visit to TX! read more

My omelette was quite tasty. The staff was attentive and kind. The pancakes were mid and they didn't have a good drink selection. There is a smell in the dining room that smells like a plumbing issue that takes away from the overall experience. read more
