Although we haven't visited the Londonderry Arms since last year we used to go quite a lot, and we have always been impressed with the high standard of their food and the excellent customer service there. The menu is extensive, with special offers during the day and at teatime, and the portion sizes are a really good size. There are plenty of delicious vegetarian dishes on offer, along with some great fish and meat dishes. All of the food is freshly prepared to order so can take a while to arrive, but it is well worth the wait. The children's menu is reasonably priced, as is all of the food on the menu, and my daughter has always really enjoyed it.
There is a children's play area at the back which keeps the kids quiet while you're waiting for the food to come, and plenty of picnic benches if you want to dine al fresco. The only time we have not been very impressed with the food was their Sunday dinner, which my husband didn't think was very good; however other people I know who've been there have enjoyed it so this may just be a question of personal taste. I would recommend the Londonderry Arms for a family meal; the place is child-friendly and the puddings are amazing, especially the Mars Bar cheesecake, which is one of the best puddings I've ever eaten! read more
