I can't say enough about Rhonda. I called Lonely Critters at a time of crisis in my life, needing help looking after my St Bernard and my Boxer/Staff cross. Rhonda was willing and able to respond immediately and offer assistance above and beyond my expectations. My dogs instantaneously took to her and the affection Rhonda has for animals was very obvious. The relief I felt knowing Rhonda was able to care for my dogs on the days I was not able to offered me a great sense of peace. She has a strong work ethic, a sympathetic ear and great advice. Her business is very professional; her communication in all matters is clear and efficient. After our initial meeting I had absolute confidence that she could care for my dogs as well as I could. I will be forever grateful to her for her kindness and thoughtfulness. I would suggest to anyone who is in need of a pet sitter, a dog walker, someone to groom their dog or any other help you need with your animal (of any kind) to give Lonely Critters a call. Lonely Critters works with the philosphy that all companion animals need to be well balanced through physical, emotional and psychological health in order to thrive. We often begin working with puppies that are 8 weeks of age, to ensure that crate training and housebreaking are accomplished as quickly as possible. We teach puppies and older dogs proper obedience to ensure that they remain a part of their adoptive new family. We also work with dogs that require behaviour modification (aggression) and need assistance with anxiety issues (fear of other dogs, people, mailboxes, height,s etc). We provide in-home pet care for our furry clients. Many dogs and cats do not do well in kennels and we firmly believe that kennels can upset an animals sense of well being and self esteem, and can alter a pets personality for days, if not weeks. Grooming, pet transportation, aquarium maintenance and playdates for dogs are also offered. We care for all types of pets.

Rhonda has experience both professionally and personally caring for a wide variety of animals. It has been an honour for her to have shared her home and her life with dogs, cats, birds, fish, rodents, reptiles, and horses (one raccoon too), Rhonda received her Registered Practical Nursing degree and worked in the human health care field for several years. The transition from human health care to pet health care was a natural path. Rhonda's mission is to provide exceptional care for her furry clients in all aspects of their lives. This includes physical health, emotional well-being and providing education for pet owners.

We have been very pleased with Lonely Critters. Rhonda M. has been working with our pets for two years and has helped us with dog walking, training and advice, grooming, pet visiting, medication and vet visits. She was 100% reliable and professional and our 16 year old diabetic cat and our 9 year old Akbash both benefited from her care and attention. Rhonda is an excellent trainer and we learned a great deal from her and our dog's behaviour on walks improved greatly as we implemented her suggestions. Most of all, our pets loved her. We felt better knowing Rhonda M. of Lonely Critters was there when we couldn't be. We interviewed several local companies and dog walkers before we made our choice and Lonely Critters has never let us down and has exceeded our expectations over and over again.
