I went to Lonestar on Friday afternoon. They took x rays a swab the Doctor was so nice and knowledgeable! He told me I had scars in my lungs which my doctor has not seen that and has done x rays. This guy treated this sinusitus and upper respiratory infection with the right medication this is Monday and I feel so much better. I have yet to find a DR in Corpus that cares about there patient as he does. The receptionist is awesome she helped me to do the paperwork and called to check on me on Monday. I went to this Lonestar urgent care clinic on Thursday, August 21, to get a tetanus shot because I couldn't seem to get anyone else including my primary doctor to give me the shot. I was very happy because those people at the Lonestar urgent care agreed to give me the shot, and I sat down with the man by the name of Rene , I don't know if he's a NP or a PA or whatever but he gave me a lot of good useful information and sold me on wanting to use this clinic as my go to from now on. I mean everything about this place was positive, everybody was very knowledgeable and it was a friendly place, but very professional. Rene and everybody else at the clinic invited me to come back anytime I had future health issues. And I told them I would. I seriously planned on it too. That is until Tuesday, August 26. Monday the 25th, I was experiencing the second day of chills fever bodyaches, and bad back pain, headache, etc. etc., and had been running a temperature of 101 to 102. I decided I was headed to Lonestar urgent clinic, but I couldn't really make it there and I shouldn't have been driving, and I was in the vicinity of one of the local freestanding emergency clinics, so I just went there instead rather than have a wreck or cause harm to anybody else. My stay there wasn't very nice and I learned that I had a UTI and also tested positive for Covid. I was given a prescription for an antibiotic, that I cannot take and have taken previously and it definitely does not agree with me, it is what they call a broad spectrum drug and I don't do well with that and I cannot take sulfa drugs. When I was at that emergency room, I asked that doctor if I could have cephalexin to take care of the UTI and she did say yes. When I got home, I found the prescription was for something else. it was a broad spectrum drug and I called her back and said I can't take this and she told me basically that I needed to that was the only one that would work and I said how about this cephalexin, and she said no, and you run the risk of getting sepsis. She was very uncooperative. So, since I was invited to go back to the Lonestar urgent care the first time which was only last Thursday, with the tetanus shot situation, I decided at least if I called him back and see if maybe the NP or PA could please tell me if cephalexin could work for my issue, and if so, could he order it for me. I had to go into all this detail with the girl at the front desk, telling her all these things just to make her understand. Well, I could not speak with that PA guy, because he was busy with patients and she said she would give him the message and she would call me back. Well, that was at 10 AM Tuesday morning and it is now Wednesday at 12:22 PM, and I've never had a call back. That was very disappointing since I was really gonna keep my word and use them as my go to urgent clinic from now on . I really trusted these people the other day and I thought they were serious about wanting me to come back. Quite evidently not. Yes I'm very verbal and seem to talk a lot but maybe they were just writing me off as a nutcase I don't know. But this was a serious situation to me, and I thought I could trust them. So, I did finally get a hold of my primary care, doctor, and did get cephalexin for this UTI. Now it upsets me because I'm going to have to look elsewhere for another good urgent care clinic or medical facility to utilize. Oh a wonderful follow up: only two days too late when I was explaining what kind of an emergency I was having to deal with. they call back and want me to call them back on Thursday at 7:23 PM. . I guess I should be thankful for small favors, but I'm not ! This is just unacceptable. read more

In the area from out of town. Unfortunately the family each had different ailments through our trip giving me opportunity to try out several different urgent cares. Of all three different urgent cares this one was the best. Hands down! It was the cleanest and most organized. The online registration / appointment worked great and actually placed you in line. The office staff was efficient and knowledgeable. The doctor when seeing the patient was efficient and considerate. Listened and explained well. It was also open on the holiday which is when we needed it. If/when we need to go to urgent care again in this area, we will go back here. read more

Wonderful. Every person I encountered was kind and thoughtful, and cool. The care and advice I received was spot on. I had a problem with my shoulder. It was identified and treated very easily. If you love ordering on the McDonald's app or on their kiosk, you'll love it here. You must pre-register at home or you'll be stuck in the lobby doing it on your phone. I think it'll be easier next time. I became sick while traveling and found this place. It was in a nice area, attractive and clean building and interior, and I got seen quickly. I love the way they took care of me. Very clean, quiet energy. The doctors and nurses were very attentive & they took great care of what I needed. I have had bad experiences on other urgent cares but this place is definitely a great place for self pay. I fell in a parking lot and damaged my hand pretty badly. We came here the following morning because I was in so much pain. They x-rayed my hand and told me I just had a sprain, no broken bones. A week later, my hand is still swollen, so I went to a specialist and lo and behold, my finger is broken. They were all nice, but how do you miss broken bones? read more

This was my 2nd time at Lonestar and I was pleased yet again. I checked in online before I even got there which allowed me to be seen almost immediately. The facility is pristinely clean. The staff are friendly and will follow up to see how you are. Went back to Lone star today 12-23-2023 for follow-up... was last there on November 30th. Jace Cain and his staff are outstanding!!!!!!! My symptoms had returned so we are going to use a new medication. They took care of me in 25 minutes... try that you regular doctors office. Great folks !!! read more

horrible experience!!! I came in here with a positive attitude and the Nurse practitioner Lillian Alvarez came in with a bad attitude and just negative. You can tell she had a bad day. When I tell you right when she walked in the room she just had a bad pose and attitude under her mask. When I talked to her about my pain she just stood there and looked at me like " are you done ? " Just horrible. I didn't even feel like a patient. I do not recommend getting seen by her, by far the worst experience. I left the office very upset.
