I had a very expensive webcam call with Stephanie Loftin for advice a couple years back. It was so unforgettable which is why I'm sharing this so late. I regret to this day that on July 16th, 2012 I retained Long Beach Law, Inc. to handle my personal injury case. I had an injury I sustained in a fall in a business in Long Beach in which I fractured my tibia and tore the meniscus in my right leg. I took the doctors findings as well as a disk with the MRI results with me so my attorney's would know the true extent of my injury. The doctors findings stated that the fracture caused edema to the bone marrow in the tibia and confirmed the torn meniscus. I underwent two surgeries in an attempt to repair the torn meniscus, but in my medical records it clearly stated that there was a concern for re-tear of the meniscus after my second surgery. I never read through all my medical records before because that was my attorney's job, isn't that what their hired for. Well it turns out the doctor was right, but there's more. I not only have a re-tear of the meniscus, but the bone marrow in the tibia bone of my right leg is slowly dying from the contusion caused by the fracture. I can only say Thank God I am a Veteran because there was no request for future medical bills and I have no other medical insurance. The VA agreed to a payment for the lien they had against my settlement and we won't go into the amount of that lien, but I can say a 5 day hospital with multiple CT's, MRI's, X ray's and two surgeries don't come cheap. Well I am back at the VA Hospital again for my injury and I get to look forward to 2 more surgeries.The first one is to drill out the dead bone marrow and feel the bone with cement, this has to be done before the second surgery can even be considered. If this first surgery works, then the second surgery will be a full knee replacement as being recommended by my doctor to alleviate the pain that I live with everyday and have been on pain medication for since the beginning. I am not so worried about the first surgery, it's the second one that concerns me. My doctor's says the recovery time is about 6 months because you have to learn to walk again. I forgot to mention I live in a 3 story house, so I will be putting it on the market prior to knee replacement because there is no way I will be able to move around it. What causes those problems? Weakness in the quadriceps, or the group of four large muscles at the front of the thigh, contributes to arthritis of the knee. So does surgery to the meniscus and other factors. I didn't do any research in the beginning, that's what attorney's get paid for. I only started researching my type of injury when I started having problems with my right leg again. It amazed me how much information was out there regarding what I could expect in the future because of my injury. Once again Thank God I am a Veteran because I would have to sell everything to pay for medical bills if I had to pay them. This review should in no way effect a decision in retaining the services of this law firm, It is only to express how I feel about the outcome of my injury case and the service I personally received. I am going to end my review because it just makes me more angry that I didn't retain the second law firm I consulted with when I wanted to drop Long Beach Law, Inc. from handling my case. read more
