Then I noticed that the place of full of cool leather bags, piles of colorful leather skins, and then, I saw it: an incredible white fluffy, hand knit sweater with cool geometric metallic shapes, and I had to try it on. It was so cool looking, but a bit long in the sleeves and I told myself that if I was still obsessed with it the following day I would come back. And come back I did, only to find out that it was sold the previous day! What's wrong with my sweater karma??? I'm still beating myself up about it as it's totally one of a kind and was 70% off the original price. The owner said she commissions the knits from a local designer to go with the handmade leather bags, skirts and other accessories she makes herself in the leather atelier in the back of the shop. I absolutely love stores that have workshops in them that shoppers can see. So from the amazing leather designs to the gorgeous handmade knits and the open atelier, Avril Me Love is close to perfection and now my go-to shop on future visits to la ville de rose.
