Came here for a graduation dinner. They don't take reservations and we had a party of about 30 so we had to wait close to an hour to be seated but that was expected due to our large party. Once we were seated the 2 waiters assigned to our table did a good job with getting drink and appetizers put in. The spinach dip and soft pita chips were good. Very cheesy. Got the mixed green salad to balance that spinach dip. Love they have reasonably priced drink options. The Texas margarita was $6.95 and was decent. I rarely come to Longhorn but I wanna come back and try their French onion soup and the cowboy pork chop. They looked tasty. It had been years since we ate at LongHorn Steakhouse. We decided to go because my husband was wanting a steak and we didn't want to pay $90 for a steak which is the price at a lot of fancy steak places. If your coming from Birmingham to Longhorn Steakhouse. You are going to have to make a u-turn. The entrance can be tricky to find. When we arrived there host and hostess were very nice. We had no problem getting a table. The country music was ok. I wish they would throw in some other genres of music. I ordered a medium well Flo's Filet with a side strawberry salad and a loaded baked potato . The steak came out extremely well done. I showed it to them and they made it right. I especially like the 280 location because the food is on point, service is the best, and the manager, Jay, seems to genuinely care about your experience. I always ask for the server Marin because she is friendly and fantastic at her job. The steaks are always cooked to perfection. I like mine medium rare, and I've never had to send back an overcooked steak. I love the crispy, honey soaked Brussels sprouts. I also like the loaded mashed potatoes, the asparagus, and the tummy bread they bring to the table when you sit down. The restaurant is always crowded, but clean and intimate, perfect for date night or family gatherings. All in all, one of my favorite steakhouses. Go check them out! read more

In this economy, that is a must with the government shut down, prices are sky high for groceries etc. Customer Service must be A1 hands down. I had a great time at LongHorn with my kids! I cannot think of anything being off. My steak was delicious, and I am picky when it comes to having a good steak. I don't eat much red meat, so I am not shy about sending back my steak was it not cooked or seasoned as promised! My rib-eye steak was perfectly tender, cooked to point, not too salty, well seasoned but not overwhelmingly so, and still nice and warm despite being well rested! The kids' meal was great as well. The french fries were nice and crunchy, and their grilled chicken stripes were very tasty and not overcooked. The kitchen spent some time prepping the kids' meals. Many restaurants don't! Our church group of 8 people were seated about 5:30 pm- we had call ahead reservations. Our overworked waitress took our drink orders. she brought those somewhat later. We asked for bread and after some time, we got the bread but no bread plates. Sometime later, she returned and took our orders, most included a salad and a loaded baked potato. It was almost 40 minutes before the salads started arriving, 2 or 3 at a time and she couldn't remember who got what. Salads ordered without cucumbers were the last to arrive. Then, less than 5 minutes later, the main course arrived via several servers. None of them knew who got what, calling out what they thought was on the plate. None of the plates were labeled as to doneness with a server saying that they were all the same (They were not). One lady ordered the Flo steak (more expensive) but we think she received the Renegade like everyone else. To their credit, after getting the manager involved, they prepared another (which still looked like a Renegade) that she took home because by that time, everyone else was through with their meal. One fellow ordered lemon garlic chicken which arrived with a salty red sauce on it. They prepared another which he took home as everyone else was through. No one's drink ever got a refill. We were there about an hour and a half for our meal and many customers that arrived after us left well before us. I'm sure that our waitress did the best that she could but she was spread too thin. We had a great experience here last night! We used their call ahead seating option and got a table within 15 minutes of arriving (others just walking in were getting a wait time of 30-50 minutes). Our waiter (Trey? Trent? I'm not certain, but I know the letter "T" was involved) was exceptional. He brought us bread and appetizers quickly. Kept our drinks filled. Was always around should we need anything and kept a check on us without being overly present or annoying. Whatever they're paying this guy, it isn't enough. My fiancé and I highly recommend you try the Texas Tonion appetizer! Think Bloomin' Onion from Outback, but better. The Tonion has less grease and the petals are already pulled and laid out decoratively on a plate with delicious dipping sauce. The onion petals were actually crunchy. Not in the least bit soggy or greasy. Nomtastic! We both got steaks (duh!). I got the 8oz Renegade Sirloin and he got the Longhorn Porterhouse. Both were delicious and very fairly priced. If you've never tried the macaroni, do yourself a favor and DO IT. Seriously. It's worth the $2.50 up charge to substitute one of the normal sides for this dish of ooey-gooey goodness. It's creamy without making the noodles soggy. On top there's breadcrumbs with cheese that has somehow been made crunchy and adds just the right bit of texture. Don't forget about the chunks of bacon or is it ham? The world may never know (actually I'm pretty sure it tells you on the menu). It's a mystery. Tastes like bacon, has the texture of cubed ham. It was very cold in that area. My wife asked to be seated in another area and we were. We were still cold. I was so cold that I never took my coat off. The salad, steak and sweet potatoes were good, although my mother in-law's steak was well done instead of medium well. She couldn't eat it. We all agreed that we wouldn't return here until it gets warmer. As we were leaving we felt the heat from an area we passed thru. Naturally we were upset even further.
