A late night dinner date with my honey. We were driving back from twin falls and found this steakhouse. The service was great! We had a nice lady that cracked a lot of jokes and was very friendly! We both ordered steak and potatoes and it was delicious! We also got the crispy Brussel and I highly recommend those! The food came out so fast, we weren't even done eating our salads! We just moved here about a month ago. We were craving a good steak. We didn't get it here. My ribeye was over cooked and dryyyyyy! When I bit into my broccoli all I got was a mouthful of salt and butter. I didn't like their seasoning in my steak. I'd rather just have salt and pepper. I was taken by family members to Longhorn Steakhouse to celebrate my birthday. It was a Monday and we arrived at 4:30 pm and were seated immediately. Over the next half-hour, the restaurant became quite busy, which surprised me since it was on a Monday! Our server was Mason, and he was very kind, friendly, and professional. Our food arrived in a timely manner and the steaks were cooked to perfection! We all enjoyed our meals! Mason then brought out a sundae in a fancy martini glass, on a plate that had "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate syrup and covered in sprinkles. It had a lighted candle, and he started off the song for everyone to join in. It was a lovely evening and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect: food, service, and atmosphere! Great food. The steaks were done perfectly. The servers paid us just the right amount of attention.

We came here on a Sunday evening and were treated to a great meal at a good price. I'm giving five stars to the Longhorn in large part because of our rock star server Rachel. She attended to our every need with a great engaging personality. Rachel was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and other aspects of the restaurant. Oh the food? I ordered the ribeye and it was excellent. Ditto on the Redrock grilled shrimp JP ordered. One note: portions are generous. We were started out on a nice warm loaf of complimentary bread served with a soft whipped butter. Couple that with the loaded baked potatoes and we were stuffed. We couldn't even contemplate dessert though the Chocolate Stampede and Molten Lava Cake sounded tempting. We will return. read more

I had a fantastic experience at LongHorn Steakhouse, largely thanks to our amazing server, Alexandra A. She provided top-notch service and was consistently friendly throughout our entire meal. Even though it took us a long time to decide on what to order, she was so patient and never made us feel rushed. She also recommended adding a salt rim to my margarita, which was a brilliant touch! I was amazed that we walked in and got us seated right away. The place was packed and the staff was very friendly. Love the bread that you get to start the meal. We tried a lot of dishes. Flo's Filet - 7/10 - it was good for the price, but it's no Flemings steak. It was cooked well and came out rather quickly. Renegade Sirloin - 5/10 - it was not a very good quality steak. I didn't enjoy it. Very stringy. The LH Burger - 10/10 - didn't expect a burger to win the night, but was the best thing I had tonight! I would come back just for the burger. Firecracker Chicken Sticks - 7/10 - for an appetizer, these were exactly what I thought they would be. Recommendation - ask for some tench with them. The ranch was a 10/10! Mashed Potatoes - 1/10 - I don't know what's up with their mashed potatoes, but they were not good at all. Loaded baked potato- 9/10 - this hit all the right spots for me! Macaroni and Cheese - 6/10 - this was hard. I ate it all, but it was just not on point. All together, the place is nice, the staff is great, and the meal was good. There were hits and misses. But I liked it. It's a little on the pricey side. Normally when I take my family to Olive Garden, we pay about $110. Tonight was $142. I've been wanting to try this place and I'm happy I did. Omg!! Been here twice now and I will definitely be coming back!! The best steaks I have ever had!! They were cooked perfectly medium rare! They were so juicy and tender! The sides were also amazing! The caesar salad is so great!! The baked potato is amazing (best baked potato I have ever had!!) The Mac and Cheese is to die for. The service was amazing!! We came here because my husband watches videos of a guy who tried different steaks and different restaurants and had said Longhorn had the best steak. We sat in the bar area. The service was good. We ordered the rib eye since that's what the guy had ordered. Long story short it was far from the best steak. Lots of fat and no charr marks on the steak. I give Longhorn Steakhouse zero stars for food. My family and I ate at Longhorn Steakhouse today for lunch. I ordered a 6oz sirloin steak with shrimp. I ordered my steak well done, no pink. When I got my steak and I cut it open, it was pretty rare. As soon as I cut it, blood spilled out onto my plate. That almost made me gag. When the waitress came back I complained about my steak and she took it back to the kitchen for re-cooking. I had to take a napkin and soak the blood up from my plate, which was disgusting and had gotten into my mashed potatoes. Scooped those off my plate into the napkin. When the waitress brought my steak back, she waited for me to cut into it to see if it was okay with me. I cut into the steak and it still wasn't well done. It was barely medium-well. I told her it was fine, because I wasn't going to send it back a second time. I didn't eat the steak. I took it home and fed it to my dog. Hope the dog liked a 6oz sirloin. I expect a steakhouse to cook my steak exactly how I ask. Well done, no pink is an option on Longhorn's menu. Either the chef is a shitty chef, or the waitress wasn't getting my order correct, or both. I could have done a better job than Longhorn's chef today. Either way, I will never eat at Longhorn's Steakhouse again. Going forward, when I eat at a steakhouse, I plan on informing the waitress that her tip depends on whether or not my steak is cooked to my liking. If it's a place that shares tips, then the waitress/waiter had better inform the chef that my steak had better be cooked they way I ask. It's not hard, cooking a steak well done. I do it all the time when I grill my steaks, and they do not turn out like shoe leather. They are well done and still juicy. read more

Because Idaho Falls doesn't have many restaurants, this place is usually busy. Our most recent experience was disappointing, though. We have had positive experiences in the past, which makes rating this place tricky. Most recently, we came during the lunch hour, and the server was clearly overworked (and sweating) yet she tried to be pleasant. Disappointingly, everything was delayed: drinks, bread, food...we waited 35 minutes for our burgers and when they arrived both burgers and fries were cooler than room temperature. It's puzzling that no one brought us our food when clearly it had been prepared and ready for quite some time before it was served. In fact, many people who arrived after us received their food before us; the restaurant was nearly empty after the lunch rush when we finally left. read more

Every time I come into Lonhorn, it's a great experience. The food is fantastic (steaks have always been cooked as requested), service is great. The atmosphere is pretty good as long as you hit the times that there aren't a lot of small children running around. We waited about 30 minutes because we wanted ribs. Come to find out after being seated and ordering that they were out of ribs. Respectfully, if you are out of a certain dish it would be nice if you could maybe place a board upfront or something with a sign that says something like "sorry we currently out of this" and then note them down. Next time I have a craving for ribs ask before hand but I still think it's kind of common courtesy to do something like that. I also heard surrounding tables around us annoyed with the fact that they waited so long just to be told 30+ minutes that there were no more ribs. We were greeted by the host and taken to our booth promptly after sitting less than a minute were were greeted by Kelsey out server and from that point on given great servive that I would expect at a high end resturant in Las Vegas where we are from. I do not see the fascination of Longhorn. The Greater Idaho Falls reviews had this restaurant in its nominations for one of the best steakhouses and I just can't see why. The first time I went to Longhorn my friend and I had ordered an appetizer which we never got. The steak was fair, but the service was mediocre. The second time I frequented Longhorn, the service was even worse. The waiter only came back once or twice to check on my friend and me. They even cooked my steak wrong. They made me another one which took even longer it seemed than the first one did. It finally came out and I hardly touched it I was so disappointed in the meal and the waiter. When we left the place wasn't even packed. The third time I went back it was decent. The waitress was much more attentive to our needs, and she even has the same name I do. Bonus! I tried their chicken sandwich which was pretty good. I never cared much for their fries but their one appetizer, the chicken firesticks were very good. The third time was not the charm, but it softened the tone on how I felt about the place. Willing to come back and hope my steak is cooked to perfection. In the meantime, I'll be headed over to Texas Roadhouse where I've hardly ever had a bad meal or service. read more
