Ideally would rate this spot 3.5 stars! This was our second stop for our Temecula trip and it was a great place to slow down the pace. Few seats outdoors that we easily got as a party of 15. They have a small parking lot and there's an event venue on site too (there was a wedding happening when we visited). We ordered 3 bottles of white wine and it was the priciest bottles we got that weekend, $55 per. But it was my favorite bottle of the trip! Very light and sweet. The main reason I wanted to come here was to visit the animals LOL. They were sweet and active when we came. Our party didn't order food but they were serving tacos when we went. Wine is ok, like most temecula wineries. But this place is dirty. Thick Cobb webs everywhere. Tables outside haven't been cleaned in months, ants and webs and dirty chairs. And social media is misleading- only 2 horses and 2 goats not like an actual farm. And goat enclosure looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. Staff is nice. I don't think it would take much to power wash lol. read more

The good: I tried two types of wine for $12 per glass. They tasted great. I liked this winery because they had 2 horses, an alpaca, sheep and two goats. My kids enjoyed viewing them and they were located right where the fire pits, stage, bar and bathroom were. They also had a small playground. The outdoor lights were nice at night. The bad: I accidentally booked a 5:30-closing bonfire ticket for Saturday but showed up on a Friday during a private event because I had my days mixed up. The playground is on dirt so it can get a little dusty and dirty with the kids. There will be the scent of farm animals since the animal are right where everything else is located. The interesting: They had a wedding going on and they had a cute giant cowboy boot to hold flowers. I noticed there were a few boots like this on the property. There was an electric fence around the horse area. Google maps led us to the road above which is a private residence. read more

The winery itself is definitely not high end which is totally fine. There's a little playground which was great for the kids but the wine was warm and the biggest problem was the level of care for the animals. We noticed it mostly with the horses whose pen was covered in poop they looked like they have never been groomed and you could visibly see their ribs. It was so hard to look and at ultimately made our experience a bad one. The animals deserve so much better read more

Place is very unorganized they "reserve" tables for bonfire night and then have no clue what tables are actually the reserved tables. We were moved from a table by one worker and later on another worker told people they can go sit at that table because it's not a reserved area. read more

First time I've been to this winery being a Temecula resident since 1989. Founded in 1999, I came to watch a concert and while I was there ordered loaded nachos with 1/2 call Pastor & Carne Asada from A.M. Cafe y Mas. The winery event had a two drink minimum and they were serving their Cabernet Sauvignon among a long list of wine, beer and hard seltzer.. their Cabernet Sauvignon was very good for Temecula standards. Prices for all drinks was $10 each, and all the food served was really reasonably priced. I would suggest bringing your own chairs if attending a concert to make sure that you can choose a good spot. this is a great outside venue for music, wine, and food in the Temecula wine District. read more

We went up the hills to a family friendly winery. I had kiddos with me and this place had lots of kids, small children actually. There were little goats and playground in the back of the bar. They did not offer food but there was a food truck parked in the lot. The bar area is opposite of the stage where a band is playing. There's a list of wine they offered, no flights available but the winetender will give you a sample to taste before buying a cup. Beautiful winery and huge lot. Well this was a hidden gem to find. We always like to try atleast one winery that we have not visited prior and Longshadow did not disappoint. First of all the grounds are gorgeous and beautifully accented by their amazing horses. We did a tasting and the gentleman who poured was friendly and informative. We were lucky enough to meet some regulars who were so much fun to enjoy wine with that it made the experience here that much more memorable. Visited here during the crazy August heatwave. I was worried that it wouldn't be a good experience because of other reviews on Yelp but I had such a great time! Bought a tasting for 2 off of Groupon and I think we got 4 or 5 pours? The guy who helped us was very friendly and quick to come out and help us. He was pretty heavy handed with the pours and it wasn't the best wine I've ever had but definitely a fun experience. My favorite thing was the port wine in a chocolate boot which was served cold and so tasty! If it's really hot out, I would recommend that you call beforehand and make sure that the indoor space is available to sit in. Otherwise I had fun exploring, the wines were good, and the animals all looked healthy. Don't try to pet the alpaca! read more

My first visit to this winery a few years ago wasn't great. To be fair, it was a crowded weekend outdoor event on a miserably hot day. I had been totally underwhelmed by warm white wine in a plastic cup and didn't visit again until recently...but am glad I gave it another shot! This recent visit was with a women's wine group on a Friday as soon as they opened. I had never been inside the tasting room which is beautiful with a warm wood decor and western ambiance. Our servers were friendly and my Cab Franc was good. We all tried their famous Ponderosa Port shots in chocolate cowboy boots which was such a fun and yummy combo! Breezy pleasant temps after a heat wave meant we were able to sit outside. Although not pet-friendly, it is a kid-friendly winery, with a playground area and some farm animals. They have Saturday night bonfires, music and food trucks. There was a taco truck the day we were there and those who ordered said it was great. While I probably wouldn't visit on a regular basis, this was a unique winery that I'd especially recommend to anyone with kids. read more

We saw lots of videos online of this place we're excited to try it as a kid friendly option in the area. Let's just say the whole place was a let down. Compared with other wineries in the area the grounds left alot to be desired, not well landscaped or shaded at all. The play structure was old and dingy and there weren't many animals at all. The worst part was the staff, they weren't helpful, friendly or really even attentive and were busier looking through their phones and ignored us even though we were standing in front of them waiting to order. The bathrooms were also foul and filthy, and the guys making tacos left their cooler full of raw meat open and in direct sun for the entire hour that we were there. There are way too many beautiful kid friendly wineries in the area I would never recommend this place and we will never be back. read more

Love the uniqueness of this winery. Service is great, they are open late and have live music. Playground area for kids. The issue is the overall care and happiness of the animals on site. It just breaks my heart seeing them. The enclosures are full of poop, the lamb had a full wool coat in the middle of summer when it's 100°+ outside and no shade. The horses hooves look so terrible. Beautiful winery for the whole family. It's kid friendly and the staff are all amazing especially Chris. He was very welcoming and efficient. It was a good day well spent. We had a very relaxing day here after Wilson Creek. The wines we got were delicious and I really enjoyed the kick back, not crowded and relax atmosphere. Just an overall sour experience...service was rude, pours were super stingy, bathrooms were smelly and gross, and the wines were mid to bad while asking for 65 a bottle. We used to love visiting this winery and had a membership there for many years. We ended up cancelling our membership back in 2024 simply because we didn't have the time to go there any more. After more than a year since cancelling, I noticed two new unauthorized charges made by Longshadow totaling almost $200 that had been charged to the card they kept on file. After disputing these charges a number of times they have not returned the money. This business is not trustworthy. read more

Unfortunately, we were not able to do a tasting because it was a Saturday (I guess we missed that small print on the Groupon). However, they allowed us to purchase a glass of wine each using the Groupon. I ordered the Rose and it was fabulous. Great Vineyard to visit with kids (2 and 4 year old) and without kids. They have a food truck that has something for everyone. We ended up staying for about 3 hours. Qualifier: I perform marriage ceremonies, and this review is about the wedding that I performed at this winery. I gave it only 4 There's enough room for about 70 people, not many more. That's true for the outside wedding area as well as the reception area inside. There is ample parking, but the main lot is a short hike from the back of the winery. The groom gets his own dressing room, about 50 yards away from the outdoor wedding arch. The bride gets her own dressing area, the loft above the reception area. There is no elevator access to the loft. The winery catered the meal, but the wedding couple provided their own cake and desserts. According to the couple, they could not bring their own alcohol, but they were able to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages. The winery provided the alcohol and served it from a fully stocked bar. The environment is rustic. The reception area appears to be a converted barn, with huge barn doors at both ends. I worked primarily with the DJ hired by the wedding couple and a couple of the winery employees. They were all very friendly and helpful. From what I could tell, the winery itself has a tasting area and live music available for everyday patrons of the winery. read more

We came here last weekend to listen to music and hangout for their Saturday night bonfire event. We got here before 5:30, but the musician couldn't play until after 6 pm because of the wedding that was taking place. I called ahead to book a table, because that was suggested by others. I called and spoke with someone on the phone mutiple times and they recommended that I book the table online because they were too busy to help me. I asked if it made a difference if I choose the firepit versus a regular table, mostly the fire pits were left. The worker said it didn't matter because they don't light up the fire pits during summer because it's too hot. It was too cold for us since it was cold and I didn't book a firepit because that was the advice given by the worker, so we ended up leaving early. We were only able to listen to the music for about an hour after a 2 hour roundtrip drive. I tried ordering a peach bellini, but the worker said they don't have those on the menu anymore. They had hardly any choices for white wine and I don't drink red wine and they didn't have other cocktails. After I wasted $10 booking a dirty table and one that we didn't want, it wasn't a good experience and I won't be returning. Next time, I will find another winery to go to. It was sold on being kid friendly, but it also needs to be adult friendly. read more

After joining, I realized that this winery is not where I wanted to spend my time or money. They would charge me for shipments and not deliver, nor would they email me about pick ups like other wineries.
