Saw this place just opened near my house and wanted to try! It's a very cute place inside with comfy seating and books about the history of Rhode Island. Their beach coffee iced latte was really good! And it came in super cute to go cups. However, their hot drip coffee was horrible. We ended up throwing it away :( but that was also because it was just black coffee, no cream or sugar. I would definitely come back for the lattes and friendly employees.

Talk about a day to go to Longshore coffee! I'm sure it's pretty on a normal sunny day, but this little shop was STUNNING in the snow. It was the perfect place to spend a bit of time on a snow day. Steven was wonderful. I wish him much luck with his business! I enjoyed chatting with him and getting suggestions! The beach latte and the sandwich with their signature tomato bacon jam were both to die for. Service and quality were both . The inside space is as beautiful as outside. Chic and crisp but also cozy, warm and inviting. I've seen this space pop up a lot on my Instagram feed and i can see why---it's wonderful!

Ok this time the sandwich soooo good. Hotter this time. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese on an English muffin with an herbed tomato jam. Practically inhaled the sandwich. Coffee was good for the first 2 sips--"tree topper" it was a cold brew with PINE infused cold foam! Sadly I knocked it over clumsily sitting on a bench but maybe that was the universe telling me to not consume too much caffeine today. Last time I had their coffee it really hit the spot. Awesome service, again. The business has hired very friendly individuals.

Quaint coffee shop with inviting atmosphere, it was the perfect spot to catch up with friends. I had an egg sandwich on a croissant and an iced coffee and both were delicious. The sandwich price was reasonable but I thought the coffee was a little pricey. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I love the to go cups...it's like an adult sippy cup!

A new coffee roaster house in Coventry. I tried the iced Backpack coffee. I also bought a bag of Backpack coffee beans. The ambiance is cozy and the service was excellent. I highly recommend you give it a try.

I've been driving by Longshore Coffee for months while they were building, and today I finally had a few extra minutes to stop in. I'm usually rushing through the Dunkin or Honey Dew drive-through, so this was a nice change of pace. I was greeted right away. The space is modern and clean but still cozy--if that makes sense. The menu is small, which I actually appreciated since it didn't feel overwhelming. I don't like overly sweet coffee, so I asked about their big pumpkin drink. The barista told me it wasn't too sweet, and she was right--it was perfect. Prices are about the same as Dunkin or Honey Dew and definitely cheaper than Starbucks. My only small complaint was that the coffee wasn't quite hot enough for my liking (more warm than hot), and parking out front was a bit tight. It would be tough if another car were next to you, but there's plenty of parking along the side, so I'd suggest using that. Overall, I really liked it and will be back. Great local spot--definitely worth checking

Their food menu feels like somewhat of a secret but it's truly so good. One of my favorite places to grab a sandwich! Plus, the people they work there are always so nice. On the left wall was a large selection of balsamic vinegar. On the right wall is a large collection of olive oil. In the back was a counter you could order food at, and in the middle were table and chairs. They have sampling cups to taste the vinegars and oils. They really encouraged us to keep sampling, which was great because I feel awkward sampling too much. No shame here! We tried some very tasty balsamic vinegars. My favorite was the ume, or Japanese plum. It was very sweet! The oils were good, too, but I only sampled a couple because sampling oil without bread felt weird. We left with a few bottles at balsamic and a bottle of olive oil. They sell different sized bottles, too, and they bottle it right in front of you. One of the standouts we got was blueberry, it has an amazing blueberry taste! Definitely check this place out if you need some fun balsamic in your life- we all do!

The staff is always friendly, the coffee is consistently delicious (and strong!), and the seasonal menu never disappoints. Thanks to their monthly specials, I've become a cold brew lover (instead of iced lattes) and always look forward to seeing what's new. Whether I'm meeting friends for a casual catch-up or a "work" meeting, there's always a perfect spot to settle in, both inside and outside. What makes Custom House even more special is their commitment to the community. I love seeing them partner with local organizations and offer food-sensitive options so more people can enjoy what they do. Their recent giveaway with Friends of Newport Skatepark is another great example of how they continue to give back. Thank you for being such a wonderful community staple. I did a Google search and saw that The Coffee Guy was close to me and that they had a variety of beans that they roast in house. I stopped in to the shop and walked up to their display of bags of coffee beans. The owner introduced himself as well as the staff. They were all very friendly and knowlegable. I made my selection and brought it to the counter to purchase. They also serve coffee and pastry but this trip I just wanted the beans. They offered to grind them to whatever courseness I wanted, but I prefer to grind them at home. A pound of coffee averages $20 and they have a frequent buyer program (when you reach purchases of $100, you get a $5 credit. This is tracked so your purchases accumulate). They also deliver to the area on Wednesday's if you order online by their Tuesday Night deadline. I have tried this and my coffee was on my doorstep before 9 that Wednesday. Very convenient. Lastly, the store is not that big with not much room for sitting (I honestly can't remember if they had seating.) However, if you are looking to source your beans or grab a cup of coffee on the go, this is a great option.
