I cannot give this location a favorable review. My wife went in for an eye exam and she ended up waiting over an hour! When they finally got to her, they told her that it'd take 3-5 days for her glasses to come in. One of the employees was noticeably pissed that my wife wouldn't make a quick decision buy frames from them. That being said, save yourself some time and go elsewhere for better (and quicker) service. read more

I think I was overcharged- I paid $700 for mainly the lenses- I have a small prescription and opted in for Progressive lenses because I also needed something for reading. I did add transition and polycarbonate scratch resistant to the lenses. I believe the frames were $189- the exam was free. But in the end $700 seems like a lot. I have vision insurance through VSP and my mother goes here so I decided to go here since I needed to get a new contact prescription as well as new glasses. As you walk in, it does look like one of those big box discount optometry places like Americas Best or Lens Crafters, but this place is a lot better than those guys. They took care of me promptly and the optometrist was kind and informative about what she did during the exam. The optician helped me find frames that fit my face and didn't try to sell me up on the designer frames. I did the buy one get one free and got two pares for 129, which was awesome. I also received contact lenses from them as well. Overall it was a painless process and the people there were nice and helpful. I think the reviews here from the past are valid but they don't represent what Look Optical is today, in 2016. I think they've had a change in management perhaps and better optometrists stepping in, so this place is much better. Go here before going to a discount optometrist. read more

I've visited the doctor and gotten new lenses here once per year for the past two years. In between visits, I occasionally come in to get my glasses readjusted which they always do quickly, courteously, and for free. My least favorite part about eye exams is the dilation eyedrops, but since my last visit, Look Optical got a new machine that allows you to get "Optomap screening." It takes a quick few pictures of your eyes, so I didn't need to have 5 hours of blurry vision afterwards. It's $20 extra, but worth it in my opinion. The doctor showed me the photos and explained what we were looking at, which was fun to see. They were very willing to work with my price limit for my glasses, going over all possible combinations to get me the best price for the add-ons I wanted within what my insurance would cover. I would first start out by saying that if I were just rating the Dr. I saw then I would have given 5 stars... Unfortunately my husband was also seen here and his Dr. Appointment went fine all except for how much a contact fitting costs and how long it took to get his contacts.. We were seen on a Tues. And told that his RGP contacts would be in Thurs. or Fri of that week.... These days came and went with no call or notification of the lenses not arriving. The only information I received was when I called on these consecutive days to see if the lenses were in. So Thurs/ Fri were a bust with my husband taking off work to get the contacts that did not arrive. The following Monday I call to check on the status of the contacts and was first told that the contacts were still not in.. I let the front desk clerk know that these contacts were promised last week on Thurs /Fri. She put me on hold and went to look again.. When she came back she told me that the lenses were in but we couldn't pick them up because the Dr. my husband saw was not in today. I would not be upset at this were it not for my husband having to take off of more work to get contacts that were promised previously when we had made arrangements to be available to pick them up. So now the situation we are left with is only being able to get the contacts when that specific Dr. is in the office and no other Dr. can evaluate the contact fitting along with a loss of more money due to having to take off more work to come in on Tues. Very upset that there was no consideration by the staff for this problem and that incorrect information was given to us. I would not be upset at all if we were honestly told a reasonable date to expect the lenses to arrive.. When we went in for the appointment and would havd been told to expect them to arrive early that next week then we could have made appropriate arrangements to come in for the fitting.. Not enough stars to rate my experience! From the receptionists to purchasing eye glasses, you couldn't get friendlier or a more caring place for eye care. They are thorough, helpful and always pleasant. I've been a patient of Dr. Cao for 10+ years. She is an exceptional doctor, kind and concerned. Provides the best care for your eyes. Always a good experience. In terms of prices, it's very competitive. The staff helped me take advantage of my insurance to help obtain the most cost efficient, but quality pair of glasses. This is the absolute worst glasses buying experience I have ever had. I bought my own frames online and brought them to Look Optical for the lenses. After 10 days I called and they had not received them back form their lab but had been sent that evening and would be received in 2 business days. After those 2 business day I called and still no glasses. Today after 17 days total I called and they contacted their lab who said my lenses which are free with my insurance is on back order. They have NO ETA as to when this material will be available. If I switch the material and pay $70 they can have them done ASAP. A simple phone call at least a week ago letting me know that my lenses were on back order would have been sufficient. Now I wait for office approval to have my frames (that I bought from another business) sent back so I can have my glasses made else where. The audacity. read more

Had my first visit today. The office is comfortable and has a good aesthetic- clean, organized, nicely decorated, good music. Everyone there was so nice, polite, friendly, and accommodating. They have a good selection of glasses, lots of affordable options mixed in with a good selection of pricey-er designer glasses. I was there for about an hour and a half for a yearly check-up and to pick out glasses, which is what I'm used to (if not longer at other places). Just wrapping up a cross-country trip & follow-up reviews. While traveling through Aurora CO we had an 'eye emergency' & stopped by Look Optical for care/guidance. The staff was very helpful & understanding, and Dr. Bruce Laurie saw us almost immediately. In less than 1-hour we were on our way with the right 'supplies' and guidance we were seeking, at a very reasonable price. They turned a major problem into a great experience. I was in the Aurora Location on 9/23/2020 to get contacts. The doctor wanted to order in a trial set of contacts in prescription before giving me my final prescription. Four weeks have past and I never received the trial set or my prescription. I called the store 10/16/2020 to ask if the trial contacts had arrived. The person I spoke with said she would look into it and call me back. I never heard back. Now, I am finding out that that the Aurora location is closed and it does not give any indication of how long! I paid for my contact lenses appointment and four weeks have passed and I have not received my prescription. It has never taken me so long to get a prescription and I find it disappointing that the store did not work to resolve their outstanding issues before closing or leave a good alternate contact person. While the doctor and the staff where friendly this has been a poor experience. read more

I visited this location for my first eye exam in years. I've never really needed one and figured I had the insurance and might as well make the payments worth it. To start the receptionist were very kind and welcoming when walking in at 9:30. They provided me forms and had me fill them out and took me to do a pre-exam. They have some fancy machines that took pictures of my eyes and tested them out and took me to see Dr. Cao. She was incredibly professional and kind and explained everything in a way I could understand. She explained different things that could effect my vision and why my eyes were often feeling strained which was great. She walked with me to get glasses and helped me to pick out the perfect frame and even offered to help me adjust the frames to fit my larger head so they have a comfortable and smoother fit. After all was said and done I was in and out in less than an hour. This was such a great experience and I'm glad I visited! I would highly recommend! read more

Never going back! Horrible customer service , unfriendly staff, hardly even a smile or small talk,BAD communication. Ive called them back on things THEY were suppose to look into and call me back and when I had to call them, since they never called me ,they didn't even know what i was talking about! and said they didn't even have they glasses, that I had already paid on mind you, with out even looking first!!! not my idea of a family eye care center. I care with high expectations because I was referred here. Walking in I instantly noticed an unprofessional atmosphere. I had an appointment set up and ended up waiting 30 min past me apt time. The doctor was very kind and great at her job. Picked out my frames and paid for everything. I wasn't even given a general time and day it would come in. I then called back 3 days later for a eta. i was given a eta of multiple different things. 5-10 days. Then was given 5-8 days. On the 8th day I called back to check in they told me it'll take longer because I did it through my vsp insurance. I was more upset at the fact that I wasn't informed about the whole "vsp" process, also the false eta I was given. I then called again the next day to see if by chance they had received them. I was told they'd come tomorrow. Called back today because I hadn't gotten a call, she then informed me that my glasses won't be ready today because i guess the shipment was late. They couldn't even call me to inform me that it wasn't going to be ready even though I was told they will be. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this business because I've been to other places with my vsp and have had my glasses within 3-4 days. I've even ordered glasses online and have gotten quicker. Not only did they leave me in the dark through this whole process, but also had lack of information every time I called. I really love this place. The doctor was very kind and all of the staff seem to get along so it's a very welcoming atmosphere. The manger is very good at his job and he helped me find and select glasses quickly. They have a large selection of reasonably priced frames for pretty much any style. I was going there for years. They were accurate with the prescriptions and the customer service was great but in the last two/three years the customer service is HORRIBLE!!!! The people answering the phones are rude and act as if you are bothering them when you call. I will NOT be going back there. My daughter stopped going there over year ago. She called them to order more contacts and they gave her the wrong prescription. When she called them to tell them about the mistake and told them she couldn't see and they said that was the correct prescription and was what they gave her last time and they would not change them out. They said her eyes must have changed and If she wanted to come back in for an examination she could. She still had the old boxes of the ones they had previously prescribed to her that worked and they were a different strength . She asked for a copy of her last prescription and they refused to give her one the only documentation they had in her file was from two years prior. So they just forgot to write down the new information. Everyone make mistakes, I understand that, but instead of just saying sorry let us get that taken care of they denied it wouldn't give her the correct contacts and without saying the words called her a liar. Dr Thu is fine. However, I have gone through 2 different frames within 6-8 months because the frame surrounding the lens keeps snapping! They will snap while literally sitting on my face! I have paid over 200 to replace because they don't have warranties or allow you to replace them without paying full price! read more

Very helpful staff, I came in for glasses after being against the look of wearing glasses all my life. The staff here spent extra time with me helping my to decide which glasses fit my face and would be the most complimentary to my style!
