Came here on a Wednesday with a friend. I found this spot randomly looking for places to eat during lunch. I saw the reviews and pics of the bulgogi cheesesteak and definitely wanted to give the place a try. The place has a very chill vibe, not too bright and clean. Got the bulgogi cheesesteak ($15.95) with povolone and it was really good, flavorful and the portion size was pretty big. My friend got the tofu bowl which she was not a fan of and didn't really eat much of it and mentioned that it was not what she expected. I felt kinda bad since I picked the spot.. If you're in the mood for cheesesteak with an Asian fusion twist to it, I highly recommend Loopy's. * Good service * Happy hour drink specials available * Gender neutral restroom

found this place randomly and glad we did! they have a variety of korean fusion items, it was hard to choose what to try! the bento option was a good amount of food, had to take some home. the chicken was tender and yummy! the fried rice was not as flavorful as i personally would like it, but some enjoy that light flavor! the kimchi was a bit too sour for me but good flavor (also a personal preference). area and seating is very nice, great lunch spot, id def go again!

Delicious and really reasonable lunch special and amazing Thai tea! I'm shocked not more people were in here.

I was in the area with the colleagues for work & when it was time to get lunch, we happen to come across "Loopy's Eatery" & I'm so glad we did! There a specials posted outside the window & the "spicy ramen" definitely caught my eye because I love ramen. I had their spicy ramen with bulgogi beef & it was so good! The beef was tender, the ramen was perfect & broth flavorful with a little heat in the background. It was served with pickled radish on the side which was little sweet & crunchy & balanced out the heat in the background. One of my colleagues tried their bibimbap bowl (which I was seriously considering getting too) & it looked delicious & he said it tasted good. My other colleague had the French fry bowl & enjoyed it as well & said the shrimp was good. I had a Thai ice tea, (which if this is ever on any menu I have to get it) & it didn't disappoint. Trying out a new restaurant, you never know what you'll get it. I'm happy the food here was good & didn't disappoint. My only critique is, there isn't a pubic restroom, so hopefully with time that can change because when serving food, you should always have a restroom available in a sit down restaurant. I won't hold that against them, because the food was 5 stars & came out hot.

I came here on a Sunday evening with a friend and the staff was super friendly and seated me quickly! The menus were on iPads with was pretty cool. The food came out pretty quick. The decorations were pretty nice and I loved the bird themed chandelier. They also had a clean bathroom in the back. Beef Bulgogi Cheesesteak ($15.95) - I got this with provolone cheese and Yum yum sauce. I've never thought about a bulgogi beef cheesesteak combination before. There was a lot of meat, and this was pretty good and filling!

I understand the 5 star review and wonder why this place isn't more popular. A hidden gem in garment district! I got the lunch platter with spicy pork and was very satisfied with it. The sides were curry chicken and salad. Even though it didn't look like much, I was stuffed at the end! The best part was it was delicious. Can't wait to come back to try other things on the menu

Food 10/10 Simple and delicious. Most of the time when I eat out, I am by myself and I really just wanna something simple, quick and affordable. It's weird to say this but there are not that many places fits all these criteria in the city, but this is one of them Service 10/10 This is more like grab and go take out place rather than a sit down restaurant, but you have the sit down option. You pay first and get the food later. The fact that I don't have to pay the ridiculous high tip really makes me wanna come back here

Super affordable with large portions! This small Korean fusion restaurant was empty when we came in, but it was very clean and the staff was so friendly. Our order only took about 10-15 minutes to come out, and everything was delicious. The plating was adorable as well. Great value for equally great taste!

Ask the Community - Loopy's Eatery

    Are you open?

Yes, our Manhattan location is open.

Are you all really closed? Are you reopening somewhere else? Been dying to try!

Sorry, but we are closed. We are planning to open another location, but it will be way up in NYC.

Can some dishes be prepared without black or white pepper? (I have a pepper allergy)

Yes, the Bibim Bop bowls, platters, and burritos can be made without any pepper spices. Just make sure to request no carrots for the bibim bop bowl, and white rice for any other entree. Hope this helps.

Do you have any gluten free friendly options?

We have gluten free options on our main menu. Specifically, the Bibim Bop bowls and the platters with Tofu as the protein. The gluten free side options for the platter are the spinach, bean sprouts, pickled daikon radish, and california rolls. Note…

    Do they offer halal options?

Our Beef Bulgogi and Chicken are Halal.

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

Unfortunately I didn't come with a big enough group to try everything, but I did get to try their kimchi fried rice ($17), perilla oil noodles ($18), and hojok galbi ($56) from their lunch menu. The meal came with a simple set of banchan-- some kimchi that had a good salty-sour balance, and an addicting sweet potato salad that was almost dessert-like. These banchan ended up pairing really well with everything we ordered, and we had to keep on asking for refills. I almost never order kimchi fried rice at a restaurant because it's something that I can make at home. However, I was glad I got to try it here. The bacon added so much smoky flavor and I was impressed at how chewy the rice kernels were. The perilla oil noodles were very refreshing. They came with a savory but light sauce. I really loved the combination of shallots, jalapenos, and seaweed that added so much texture and freshness to the dish. Finally, the galbi! Yum! The beef was so tender and the sauce almost reminded me of those microwave salisbury steak meals, but in the best way possible. The salad on the side was so good with the beef (+sweet potato salad = heaven). The chopped roasted peanuts added almost a Southeast Asian vibe to the dish. If I had to find something to complain about, I would say that the peppers on top weren't spicy enough.

Loved that the dish also came with some greens and had a sweet and tangy dressing that also paired nicely with the galbi. I thought the noodles were cooked perfectly, im not the biggest fan of buckwheat noodles, but these noodles didnt stick together and was slightly on the harder side vs very chewy and sticky. And the entrees were delicious and even with other tables almost on top of each other it never felt crowded due to partitions that I saw them remove for some larger groups needing tables "together", and I never felt part of someone else's dinner convo. Presentation was amazing and food was delicious - Soon Tofu Soup with seafood for me, which arrived bubbling like a cauldron. It came with a raw egg that you crack into the soup and let it cook to your level of doneness. Hubs got hot stone bibimbap and as we all know the crispy rice is the best part of it... it's just tough to separate it from the actual stone dish so you can eat it, especially if you wait until it cools and fuses. They advertised themselves as having the best katsu in NYC and they may just be right. With our order it came with a bunch of side dishes. Kimchi, Marconi salad, and mashed potatoes, and others. They were all good. Food came out pretty quick as well. Don't think we waited too long for anything. After we were done they gave us some ice cream. I would absolutely love to come back here again for lunch and probably will.

The Ssambap Set was incredibly satisfying. The beef was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the fresh lettuce wraps, rice, banchan, and soup. Every bite was well-balanced and packed with flavor. We also ordered the Mixed Katsu Set, which was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and cooked to perfection. It came with generous portions and made for a comforting, filling meal. The restaurant has a modern and welcoming atmosphere, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything arrived fresh and beautifully presented. If you're looking for a delicious Korean lunch in NYC's Koreatown, Jeong Yuk Jeom is definitely worth a visit. I'll be coming back to try more of their menu!

The service was attentive throughout the meal. They offer a tasting menu, but we opted for a la carte so we could try a wider variety of dishes. The complimentary cold broth served to cleanse our palates was a thoughtful touch. The fried chicken wing was cooked perfectly with an incredibly crispy exterior. The uni sotbap was delicious, packed with rich umami flavors in every bite. The bossam was solid, tender pork belly served with fresh lettuce wraps. The cold noodles were refreshing, and I especially enjoyed the light, flavorful chicken broth. The galbi was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. Overall, every dish was delicious, and I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in town.

There were just a couple of things that kept this from being a full 5 stars. My 5 year old was required to order an entrée. We were planning to order one anyway, but I still found it a bit unusual. I also requested a birthday candle with dessert for our celebration when I made a reservation, but unfortunately the request wasn't acknowledged. Despite those minor disappointments, we had a wonderful experience. The food and service really stood out, and I would definitely bring visiting friends and family here. I'd happily return again 4.5/5.
