This was my second time here but the first time trying the Peach Mango Sunset with Lychee Jelly! I was there on a Monday night and it wasn't busy so my drink came out quickly! The mixture of the two flavors and the lychee jelly was a nice touch and tasted great together! I first tried the drinks at the DTLA location and thought it was so good, I was surprised and excited that they had one in Riverside inside the Food Lab-- great location. I really like this place, the drinks are so delicious and high quality. I love the option to have organic Straus milk. All the tea is loose leaf and organic, the coffee is organic too. They also make the syrups in house too. I've tried the earl grey, bananas foster (always caffeine free), and the matcha with strawberry syrup, and every single time it's amazing. Sometimes I add boba, sometimes not, but it's always great! I suggest always ordering in person here, I do not suggest using DoorDash because the price increase on DD is wild. read more

First time customer long time boba consumer and fanatic. Sam, I believe, was extremely unhelpful when I asked about menu options and what it meant. When asked about an item, I wasn't given an explanation and just had what I said repeated verbatim. Also the girl was wearing long fake/ acrylic nails which are A NONO when doing food service and/or preparation. I didn't see any washing of hands in between helping guests. Loose Leaf has some amazing drinks! Happy they are now in Riverside at the Food lab. I've been there a couple of times and all the staff is so friendly and helpful. First time I got the Thai tea and it was delicious. They brewed it to perfection. One of the best I've had. A couple other places where they make it good is 7 Leaves and L'Moon Creamery. Last time I stopped by, I customized a drink with mango puree, jasmine tea, whole milk, and cheese foam...so good! I wish it was a drink on their menu because customizing it like this was pricey. They are located on the right hand side as soon as you walk in through the main entance doors. If you love tea & nearby, you need to try this place because they know how to brew some tea and their drinks are great! read more

Just okay. Not a Riverside native so I don't know the price points in the area, but this shop's prices were steep for what we got. I got the Peach Mango Sunset which I think has no tea and just juices, but it was almost $7 just for the drink with no topping. The taste wasn't very strong, the singular flavor I got from this was "sour" LOL, no peach nor mango flavor. The other tea we got was the HK milk tea which is very flavorful, no notes on that one. Other con is we asked for light ice and they didn't top our drinks off which left a sour taste because of the expensive price. read more

The food lab has been one of my favorite places to grab some food whenever I'm in Downtown. This specific stall in the food lab used to be an Auggie's coffee shop (which seems to have shut down everywhere now?), Mi Cafecito (another coffee shop but with Latinx theme), and now a boba spot. I find it a good alternative to buying a beer or cocktail to go with my food whenever I'm here (and cheaper alternative). I had the Thai milk tea with 50% sweetness and it was perfect. They were able to get my drink out to me pretty quickly even though there was a long line of people who had ordered before me.
