The service is fast and friendly, very easy-going all around, smoker-friendly if you need it but also open air. Paella here is good, and try the Dateln in Speckmantel. :-)

The name of the restaurant would suggest it was modern French cuisine, and I suppose that's the main theme, although the inclusion of pasta dishes confused the personality. My main of scallops on mango and lime chutney was generally well cooked, although the salt crust was far too thick. The scallops are accompanied by a basil sorbet that didn't quite work. My main of spaghetti with prawns in a tomato and curry(!) sauce was better, although not fantastic. The problem with this restaurant is mainly that the surroundings (and the foodie twists, like my basil sorbet) suggest you're getting something better than the food on offer.

If needed a near by store will rent you Italian car keys for cars that don't really exist at very reasonable prices. People watching a treat, the food decent and prices not too high especially if you own a Ferrari, or a Lamborghini or a Porsche. Cork fee not bad so you can pick a wine bottle from the wine store next door. Don't forget to put keys on table so they know you are a member, no members' discount though, after all you own a f-ucking Ferrari for Pete sake.

As I recall from my meal, I did their ribeye ordered medium. First thing I had noticed was the interesting choice of dried spices it was topped off with, and while it cut pretty easy it definitely was on the chewy side and had this weird fishy after taste (almost as if they cooked a fish on the same pan they cooked my steak). For sides, a mac n cheese and a side of green beans all to share. Mac n cheese a bit on the soupy side... meh, nice try. Green beans... definitely not so fresh. Service... One dude manning the entire place it seemed. He was the one who greeted us and waited our table. While service at any dine in restaurant in Germany in general is pretty slow, for all I know it could've been our waiter cooking the steaks himself as he was literally the only person I noticed working in the entire establishment. But I'm not a steak expert, and my husband found it very tender and easy to eat. I forget that steak is not really my thing unless it is a good (read: more expensive) cut. Two people, two 500 gram steaks, five sides and two drinks plus two sauces came out to just over EUR40. You get a better steak at Blockhouse, sure, but San Diego didn't seem to want to kick us out of our seats the second we were finished, unlike some more upscale places. The situation of the restaurant is also very scenic and relaxing. We were greeted as we entered and bid adieu as we left; we felt very welcome and comfortable there.
