I was surprised to find it had mayonnaise on it. It was alright. Not the Italian experience I was looking for. The pizza had a very light crust. Not crispy or chewy. The aperol spritz was on point. We sat ourselves down and was approached by a waitress but told her we had already placed our own order. The nutella croissants arrived and we dug in. Each bite was filled with generous filling of nutella. It's like a third of a bottle had been used per croissant. We washed them down with our drinks and got going.

I ordered a cappuccino here in the aftetnoon( a no no in Italy)) I told her I know but we just woke up haha... she actually carefully creased the cup and put a lid on a to go cup when we really we re going to drink it there. Ready... the way she did it when I sipped the cup the lid stayed on and it completely poured down my dress shirt....i promise my wife and I were so kind to her and then she did this. I would avoid this place at all costs. There are so many good places with really beautifully kind people around Modena. The coffee was average anyway....so sad. We are American and work to erase the ugly American reputation but I must say this would not happen in the US. The singular experience really hurt my opinion of this very beautiful city.

(But seriously, I have yet have a "bad" coffee during my Week in Italy) I like the set up with a coffee menu on the wall letting me know what they offers and starting at 1 €. We settled for Espresso Maachiato (1 €) and Espresso Con Panna (2.5 €) Love my Espresso Con Pana which is sweet (whipped cream with drizzle of caramel) and strong (double shots!!) Barista is friendly. Sadly my Italian is not too good and I only know how to order my coffee. Cash only

We liked the salmon vodka penne pasta so much we had it twice. We found ourselves here for a quick grab n' go breakfast of fresh pasteries (croissants) and tea as well near the end of our trip. The staff was very pleasant, and understood our terrible Italian phrases and responded with big smiles in English! We ate both inside and outside and found both quite pleasant after hot humid days.
