Nancy, the trainer for the DFW area came yesterday to work with Selene, and I am beyond pleased with our progress already. Nancy gave us so much wonderful information about why Selene was behaving the ways she was, and gave us simple ways to take back leadership from her. Nancy was out for three hours with us, and we are already having great results. Although it is a little more expensive than I was expecting for dog training, the lifetime guarantee for your pet is wonderful, and the information given at the start of training is also going to make life with future pups easier. All this to say, we loved working with Nancy and would do it all over again.

I've never not had a dog in my life + am well versed in teaching basic commands + commanding attention - I just needed a little help with my pandemic puppy who needed some socializing. Don't expect a program where you hand the dog off and she does all the work. This is only true if you go to day training in 2nd grade but otherwise you're the one needing to do the homework and training outside of class time. And it makes a difference!! Most anywhere I go I get complimented on Harper's behavior. She's a year old so we have been at it most of her life with breaks here and there. My first dog (german shepherd) didn't start training until she was 6 months old and she was already overstimulated and not socialized enough so unfortunately she can't get taken around much. I love all my dogs but Lisa's classes have really given me that relationship I needed with my dog as a companion. He is now a very fond memory of a wonderful pet and companion. We lost him to cancer about 4 years ago. The Way I messed up is with our current 7.7 pound 15 month old Pomeranian. We attempted to train him using Lucky Dog training in Keller. We tried obedience, manners and zen classes. As he completed each of these classes our goal was to get him into agility. We were assured he was ready for agility based on the instructor's recommendations. Our first Agility teacher was patient and very good with our little man. Our second agility instructor was very good at agility course work but was terrible at teaching him or us behavior techniques. Mind you the techniques we learned in the previous classes only worked minimally at best. It all came to a head when we were given very strict instructions as to not come to class early, remove him from the training area when he was not in the ring; all in a text message. No phone call until the decision was made to remove him from the program. The excuse was that the trainer was busy. If they had enough time to send a text, a phone call would have been quicker and we might have been able to come to a compromise. We had no clue that this was coming. We had concerns but no way given help to deal with our dog. After a call from the owner it was decided our dog was no longer welcome. In Desperation, I called Brian and explained the situation. He was overwhelming willing to help. In the approximately 6 weeks since the occurrence at Luck Dog, Brian has our little man in line and he is much easier to take in public. I venture to say he will be a wonderful dog in short order. Brian accomplished more in six weeks than Lucky Dog training was able to accomplish in five months. You cannot go wrong with using this man.

This vet clinic puts bureaucracy above pet care. My KCD cat was one month overdue for her checkup…read more(because I was told a year and month ago by a vet at this clinic that she had advanced kidney disease would not live longer than 3-6 months) and today they refused to sell or prescribe the kidney food she has been eating for the last year that I was trying to purchase so that she would not run out of food while I am traveling over the next month. The staff cited veterinary medical board rules that she was overdue and therefore nothing could be prescribed. I understand that clinics need to follow certain guidelines, but this one is clearly arbitrary because they then said they WOULD sell me some food if I made an appointment for my cat for next month and came in to the clinic in person to purchase a bag; I immediately did this and when I got there today they did not have the food; they had another flavor. They called me back to later follow up and tell me they would not order the flavor my cat eats since she was one month late on her check-up. I had scheduled the appointment for my cat for early next month when I would be back in town and communicated that I was also willing to put down a deposit on that appointment if necessary to make sure my cat would not run out of her food. This decision is only serving to put my chronically ill cat at risk for no logical reason. How does it fit veterinary guidelines to sell me a bag of prescription food you have in stock, but not order the one my cat actually eats? I also don't appreciate being talked down to by the clinic manager; I was verbally assaulted when I informed her that I was upset and would post an honest review about this experience online and look for a new vet. I'm even questioning the kidney diagnosis at this point, as my cat has thankfully been doing very well this last year.

She turned a year and was still difficult on a leash, jumping on guests, and very high energy. I didn't want to leave her somewhere for them to train. I wanted to train her. I saw a dog walking in the park and it was sooo well mannered, I rolled down the window and asked. Next day had a free evaluation with Mindy and that was the beginning of getting my dream dog. She went 4 days and I picked her up at the end of the day for my training. We are currently in our year long group classes and both Lucy and I look forward each class. We are out in real life situations to continue our progress. There are not words to express how thankful I am to all trainers we have worked with!!! Mindy and crew are the absolute best!

Cancelled lessons on me the day of and even hours before constantly for personal plans. When I reached out about my issues with training I met with another trainer because it was agreed the training needed to be started over. We had one training session before I started working two jobs. I reached out and asked for a refund since I would no longer be able to do repeat training. Owner was supposed to call me but instead chose to text which shows how unprofessional they are. They insisted there would be no refund and my only option was repeat training. They were rude and condescending and completely unwilling to help or work with me. I asked for a copy of the contract I signed which does not say anything about no refunds. They told me that since their trainer had already been paid they couldn't help me. Unreal. The reason I signed up when I did was because I had just gotten my puppy and wanted to start training ASAP. I was unemployed at the time so the expense for training was a big one, but I believed it to be worth it as I had hopes for this dog to be a therapy dog. I had plenty of time then to go to training and work with her at home. With my new schedule for work everything would be far too disruptive. The contract I signed even states that for best results, things need to be completed in a timely manner. However the owner of the company tried to tell me even if the trainings were spaced out over a year it would be fine. I would have been better off watching YouTube videos and working from those.

I enjoyed the opportunity to bond with my dog while learning new skills under the guidance of the trainers. The gym is set up to be very safe and my dog was able to work on his skills amid a lot of distractions. The coolest thing is that you earn little rings as you and your dog learn master new skills. I'm really excited to start taking my dog, Henry, to obedience and agility classes regularly. We had a great time.
